The Spa at Canyon Crest

OH YES I’M COMING BACK! As stated in my TIP, I move out of state and then out of nowhere all these amazing business just appear.
So before leaving to visit family in Cali this wknd I was supposed (operative word being SUPPOSED) attend to my regular waxing maintenance but totally ran out of time. Um yea, so what that I needed to find a wax-​ologist as good as my girl in Vegas… well I think I found her and her name is Beth at ‘The Spa @ Canyon Crest’.
FYI: get to your appointment at least 15−20mins early for parking. They are located right next to an athletic gym, the parking lot is PACKED. In addition to the gym, there are so many other business around that shares the same parking lot. I was in disbelief for 2 reasons 1) when did this area of Riverside get so busy 2) when and where did all these business pop up? When I lived in that area all there was was, Ralph’s, the bank, gas stations and a couple of novelty type shops 14yrs later it is a thriving commercial center. Awesome, super growth over the years, but I digress …
In addition to waxing services there is also a have endermologie, facials, mani/​pedi and massages. Very skilled, professional and friendly staff. When you walk into the salon, it is very calming, low lights, calming music, smells like lavander and lillys. Very soft spoken atmosphere, yes conversations are being among staff and clients and/​or staff and staff but they are held at a low volume. Very very clean establishment.
What stood out the most to me was the sterilized equipment. Once I was prepped and ready for my chosen services I noticed that Beth pulled a sealed sterilized package that contained all the instruments needed for the services rendered. My chosen waxing services BRAZILIAN and UNDER ARM, reader digest version… I am smooth as a baby’s bottom. Any stragglers or ingrown hairs, she took a pair of sterilized tweezers and pluck those suckers out (from BOTH areas waxed). Waxing strips are used, and the wax was at the PERFECT temp.
Yes, I am that client that goes home to sit in the mirror to inspect the job done… I am very very satisfied with the job and any I’m home visiting mom and dad I know where to go for my waxing services. I have a feeling you will become a fan too, but this is just my opinion… go check it out and see what you think.

If you like deep tissue massage, stop looking and go see Corinne at The Spa in Canyon Crest. I have had many many massages in my lifetime and this is the first time I have left feeling like I received 100% what I needed. I have never been more satisfied. Truly healing. Thanks Corinne!

What a great experience today with Beth… She was so sweet and kind I had a facial and microdermabrasion. She had the softest touch. Great to talk to and I can’t wait to go again. I also love the fact the daycare is available next door. Please go see Beth Sanford!!!

It was my first time going to The Spa at Canyon Crest. I used to go to The Terrace before they closed. I went on a search for a great place to go in Riverside for a facial. Unilocal seemed to like The Spa @ CC so, I gave it a try. I thoroughly enjoyed my facial. Beth was my esthetician. She spoke with me before we started to get a feel for what I was really there for. I.e. wrinkles, eye area, AGE. Beth was professional and meticulous. My face felt and looked amazing. My skin is so bright and clear. I will definitely be going back to Beth. Next I will be giving them a try for a massage.

My first visit was such a great experience that I have returned two more times and have booked my next appointment. Everyone greets you when you enter and even offers you a beverage while you wait. Dawn gives the most wonderful facials and my skin has been thanking me for them. She is very knowledgeable and knows just what type of facial I need for the weather and/​or my personal needs. I have always been a do-​it-​yourselfer when it comes to facials, but this experience and the results after are so worth my time and my money and ME! My random adult acne has even improved.
When you book a massage + facial it’s a win, win. Lori has been my massage therapist each time, and she knows how to help find the spots that you didn’t even know needed work. I run, hike and do yoga often, so her firm pressure really helps sooth and work those areas.
This place is a wonderful little getaway that has left me feeling so relaxed and feeling myself again each time.

This is my second time at the Spa, the first time I was there I had gotten a massage and facial, both services were great. This last time I came I got my massage from Dawn who was great at asking for areas of concern and highlighting them. The only bummer was the difference in customer service between my last visit and this one. Last time we visited we were greeted and asked if we had wanted water, wine, or a snack– they were so accommodating but this time I was not offered anything at all before or after my massage, I had gotten the impression they wanted me in and out quickly. I will continue to come back however because the quality of their services are fantastic!

Lara is the best massage therapist! She listens to the client and does a great job. I’ve tried to go to these strip mall holes in the wall before if i couldn’t get an appointment – don’t waste your time or money. There’s no substitute for this place. It’s awesome.

I had my first facial here and I loved it! Dawn was great, listened to my concerns and gave excellent advice on product.

I have been to the spa twice now to get a mani and pedi! Nikki is great! I recommend this place to everybody! Nikki listens to what you want/​need and gives suggestions on how to accomplish it! She is great!!!

My husband surprised me and booked me a massage for Mother’s Day. I was excited to come in, relax and enjoy, but sadly I was disappointed. They staff is definitively laking in customer service. As I walked in I wasn’t even welcomed/​greeted, when they finally addressed me it didn’t seem genuine — the woman simply asked, «Do you have an appointment?» and then gave me a form to fill out while she let my massage therapist know I was there. The massage was good, but I couldn’t even fully relax because of the noise. The rooms have such thin walls and the desk staff was loudly talking/​laughing/​yelling outside of my room, I could here doors slamming, and towards the end of my massage it sounded as if someone was running on a treadmill above my room — which could be possible since this place is located directly under the athletic club. Overall, it definitely wasn’t an experience I would want to repeat.

Laura does an amazing job on massages. I have gone to get a few times and I always walk out feeling so much better. She listens to what your body needs and switching up her to meet your needs. If you go get a massage request Laura.

I have been to the Spa 3 times now.
My first time was for a facial with Beth. She listened to my concerns and answered my questions. It was relaxing & I noticed a difference in my skin. I needed extractions & it was not horribly painful. She was gentle the whole time. I have been following her advice & I notice it when I put on makeup, etc.
The second time I went, it was for a massage with Corinne. She was attentive & strong! The pressure was just what I needed. It was very relaxing.
The third time I went, I saw both Beth & Corinne for a facial & massage. They do an excellent job & I will continue to come here on a regular basis! I highly recommend this Spa.

My husband and I went for a couples message and had a wonderful experience! The environment was very relaxing and the masseuses were very attending to our personal needs.

I received a gift certificate for The Spa, and decided upon a European Facial. The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. Beth, my esthetician, did an excellent job with the massage. I did not need extraction, so I cannot comment on that. The music and lighting was soothing (even recognized some pieces – Lord of the Rings and Pachelbel); not too «new agey» which becomes annoying. Unfortunately towards the end of my session the pounding bass (from an exercise class?) from the adjacent gym competed with the massage mood music, which was distracting (thus 4 stars).
All in all, a great first experience at The Spa. I would recommend Beth when you go!

I love this place, I’ve been coming here for years. The staff is sooo friendly. I get my massages with Laura and facials with Dawn. Laura, is so awesome she’s almost always booked, so Rosa is also good. Such a great place to go relax and de stress!

My husband got me a valentines day package deal that included 90 min massage, hour massage, mani and pedi! I booked the massage first just to feel out the place. Really cute and charming! The receptionist was really nice and welcoming. My appt was at 10:00, came in about 10 minutes early for paperwork. Didn’t get seated until 10:10ish, at this point I was like, «aww man, I hope this doesn’t take away from my 90 minute massage».
I was wrong!
Dawn was my massage therapist and she was great! She knew exactly what pressure I wanted. She massaged me for exactly 90 minutes! Unlike massage envy (I would come for 90 minutes, 10 minutes deducted for prep time… those 10 minutes count!) I can’t wait to come in for my other goodies… thanks husband!
–1 star deducted because I couldn’t find the location and when I called to schedule the appointment, the receptionist at the time did not sound very happy.

I am very disappointed with the customer service here I showed up today about 10 minutes before my appointment to find a locked door! I stayed outside on the side walk for 20 minutes???
There was a sign on the door that said they would open up 10 after five they didn’t open up the door until my appointment time and I still waited after.
Thankful I have a AWESOME esthetician named Dawn (make sure you ask for her) who make the visit great! She is very into her work and is very knowledgeable with products and any skin type. I’ll only be coming back because of her.
One star for the door three stars for Dawn.

Still the best Starbucks in the area! The staff is really wonderful and it feels like a small neighborhood coffee shop. The place is clean and in a great location!

Their temp location (away from the spa) — was amazing. But now they moved back to the gym… and well… you can sometimes here the exercise machines, etc.
MASSAGE:
— I absolutely love Lara. She is by far gives the best massages I have ever had. She knows a lot about muscles — how they work, connected, etc. So if you come to her with a problem (ie back problems) — she knows how to manipulate which muscles away from the problem area. Her pressure is strong… but of course she’ll ease up if you need.
— I’ve had massages from 2 other women there. They too are friendly — but not as skillful.
FACIALS:
— I forgot who gave me mine — it was about 6 months ago. Not impressed.
