It’s my second time here. Really dark and an older crowd. They all seem to know each other. I feel like a total intruder. Lol. The older ladies are cute but you can tell they’re old bar flys. I can almost guarantee they ran thru all the dicks here

Went for st. Patrick’s day yesterday for girls night out and we had a good time. Drinks were on point and the food was good. I would definitely come back again

My wife and I live in Orangecrest. We have been to tons of restaurants in Riverside, and go out a few times a week, this is one of our favorites. The food here is awesome. Just come try the shrimp and spinach flatbed or the smoked gouda cheese fries. Sooooo good. This is the first review I’ve ever given on Unilocal but have to do it. I love coming to sapphire for girls night! Such a fun atmosphere and the food is awesome! I’m a sucker for ceviche and the ceviche there is delish as well as the crab cakes and hummus. They have a great happy hour during the week, also.
The owners Suzy and Dario are awesome people and you can tell they really care about their business/​customers!

Crab Cakes and Ceviche too good to be true. Great music and overall atmosphere. They have a big variety of specialty drinks which isn’t helpful when you’re completely indecisive like me, but I guess it’s a good thing when the customer wants to try all of them. Can’t wait to try the tuna tar tar next time!

45 minutes later and we’re still waiting for our food. Polite staff, but come on, I could have made a pizza at home faster than this.

Had a local friend who worked here. It’s really small, came here on a Tuesday night but it was still really fun. Strong drinks but I didn’t get to check out th food.

If your looking for a great bar, chill vibes, and even BETTER SERVERS AND BARTENDERS. Shenandoah was especially great! Always on time with drinks and a great personality! Will be back just because of Shenandoah ! Favorite bar in the I. E

I saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot. It is a little place but a nice place. There is a very big bar with about 10 tables and a couch area with big screen TV for the sports playing that day. They have great deals on prices like on Monday happy hour = everything on main menu is 50% off! And the food was very delicious! The waitress was always there making sure we were good. The only down side was probably that the wait for the food was very long for being the only couple ordering food in the place. Hence my 4 stars. But over good place! I would come again

Awesome place and environment. I always have a blast when I come thru here with friends or by myself. Bartenders and waitresses have wonderful attitudes.

Not sure what to make of this place. They push themselves as a bar, lounge, and 5 star eatery all in one.
Maybe my idea of ‘lounge’ is messed up, but 5(?) TVs all on different sports channels and Miley Cyrus on the radio isn’t my idea of a traditional lounge.
So is it a bar? Not with drinks priced this high and a VERY limited beer selection… not where I’m from.
Speaking of their beer selection, with all the local craft breweries you’d think they’d have more of a selection. Especially after reading on their website about supporting local businesses. Hello? Hope someone looks into that.
Can’t comment of the food, I didn’t have anything, and neither was anyone else in the place.
Overall it was nice and clean and the service was good.
They just need to find their niche and price accordingly.

Buyer beware! Went on Tuesday 3÷11÷14, and based off the Unilocal pics that the restaurant posted, Tuesday was the day for $ 5 martinis and half off menu items. We were excited and ready to check out this new gem! Not the gem we had high hopes for, as we discovered. I don’t see this place surviving, especially if they can’t stand behind what they’re posting. We purchased 4 martinis which came to $ 40. We also purchased one flatbread for $ 9 and tuna tar tar for $ 14. Nothing was discounted. Total was $ 68.04. Quality of food was good, as was service. But integrity in a business is just as important, especially when the business is new. We did question the staff about the lack of discounts given and the restaurant mgr discounted the martinis to $ 8, not $ 5. She said that the $ 5 martinis didn’t apply to the signature martinis, which is what we selected. FYI, there is no distinction on the menu. Also, there’s like a total of 6 martinis to choose from. And she did offer us a coupon which brought the check to $ 49. I’m all about supporting local business and was really looking forward to loving this place. But I can find quality food and drinks elsewhere for better prices. To the future patrons of this restaurant, the reviews posted on Unilocal are probably friends of the owners. Too many 5 stars for a brand new place with kinks that still need to be worked out. To the owners of Sapphire, hopefully you can do better than your predecessor Veritas. But I’m not feeling very hopeful at this point. Good luck.

This is the place to be at when you want to just have a drink after work or take your spouse for a night out. Good music and great food. I drive from Fontana and it’s worth the drive. The drive is only about 30 minutes

Finally! This place is it! Riverside finally has a destination for amazing food and amazing cocktails. Sapphire bar and lounge has it all. This is by far the best food I have in Riverside and some of the best food I have had anywhere. The ahi tuna tar tar is phenomenal. Super fresh and delicious. Best crab cakes this side of New Orleans and don’t get me started on the ceviche. Everything is made fresh in house. The cocktails are made from a true mixologist. The atmosphere is very upscale and nice but the prices are very reasonable for the quality they are serving. The owner is one of the nicest coolest people you will ever meet. Definitely put this on the list if places you go I promise you will not be disappointed and you will become a regular, I know I am.
