Bethany is a fantastic dog trainer. She is experienced, kind and warm. I met Bethany when I adopted my dog, Sugar, who was terribly afraid and shy and acting out. With Bethany’s astute assessment and suggestions, Sugar has grown up to be a confident dog. Thanks to many of the suggestions Bethany gave me, to help utilize Sugar’s innate skills, she is a certified therapy dog, bringing love and joy to people in need. Excellent training by Bethany! My aggressive dog has improved so much thanks to her services. She’s highly skilled and always professional. Bethany leaves us with practical instructions and is very detailed. You can tell she loves what she does and is dedicated to helping you and your dog. I’ve worked with other trainers and she is by far my favorite. So much talent!

There were a few things that helped us in our decision to choose PHDogs to help us with our very fearful Malinois, Alice. One was that Bethany and Jean Luc were not fixed on using only one type of training tool as in just a prong collar or just a slip collar, they adjusted the tools based on Alice and how she responded. They also worked at a pace that was adjusted to Alice. In other words we didn’t end up in a standardized 4 week program that we knew would be too short. Alice’s training plan was tailored for her specific behavior problems at a pace that would push her but not push too hard. Also, it was a fluid process, if she needed more training time Bethany and Jean Luc would recommend it, and I have no doubt the opposite would happen as well, that if she progressed quicker it would have been recommended that she go home early.
Bethany and Jean Luc were also great at training us, teaching us how to better react and correct Alice. They’re incredibly patient with us and great at answering our questions and providing suggestions. We know they’re also interested in Alice’s long term progression and well being. We had a great experience over Alice’s board and train program and look forward to continuing to work with them.

Bethany is great, pretty much that sums it up. She’s very passionate about what she does, and loves animals.
Did a two week boarding program, and currently going to puppy training classes. Love it and best of all my dog loves it. Win win.

I would definitely use Bethany of PHDogs for training services again. Very knowledgeable, patient and has a clear understanding of how to communicate properly with the handlers so that they in fact understand what she’s trying to teach the dog and handler. She did a great job helping us with our Bulldogs.
