Parkview Nursery Canyon Crest

Great nursery in Riverside. Wide selection of herbs, vegetables, trees, and flowers! The staff really knows their stuff and are willing to put down whatever they are doing to help you out. I frequently go here to buy all my gardening supplies. They have a vast variety of seeds and tools as well.

Nice nursery, a bit on the expensive side, though. However, I noticed that their cactus & succulent prices were very reasonable! I will be back for some of those soon.

This nursery is close and convenient if you live in the Canyon Crest area. Needing to plant some trees in my alkaline soil, I went to Parkview to find an acidic soil to balance out the PH. Immediately the gentleman working there that day offered to help me find the best product. In addition, I was asked if I needed assistance several times as I browsed their inventory. Either they really wanted to help me, or they thought I was going to steal a fig tree. I’m going with the former explanation here.
As an extra bonus a rather burly man offered to carry my soil bags out to my car for me. What a nice guy! Whenever I can play the chick card, I’ll take it.

When I think about what a nursery should be, Parkview comes immediately to mind. I’ve been visiting this nursery since I was in middle school and the standards are consistently excellent. They have a fantastic selection of succulents, perennials, trees and houseplants at great prices.
The staff is deeply knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have about raising your plants and protecting them from parasites. They always provide free plastic sheeting for your car and assistance carrying out heavy pots. There’s also a terrific stock of mulches, fertilizers and ceramic containers to choose from.
Parkview understands Riverside’s demanding climate and will guide you to the correct choices, whether you want rose bushes or native flora. If you have any doubts, pick up a few planters of marigolds today!

Discovering this place was a happy accident for the wife and I… with emphasis on the word «happy». We’ve known about the Parkview Nursery on Magnolia (see my earlier review), but didn’t know about this location until fairly recently.
The wife and I are in the Canyon Crest area of Riverside at least once or twice a month, and this place popped up when I was looking around Unilocal on my Android phone to see what was close to the Canyon Crest Town Center… it was only about a mile away! Bonus!
There’s not much more to say about this location than their location on Magnolia. The basics are the same. A nice selection; friendly, knowledgeable staff that are easy to find and talk to with lots of helpful advice.
If you want something and they don’t have it in stock — they are always willing to order it for you. Their selection of all things flowering and growing is varied — and even includes a nice selection of fruit trees. Their selection of lawn furniture and fountains, while not huge, is still an elegant touch. They even have a cat that’s adopted them and might come meowing over to you for pets and affection from time to time! Awwww… :)
Its not the Nursery Mecca that is Newell in Yucaipa, but then… what is?! Four SOLID stars for this location — a great little oasis to visit and browse.

This review is for the Christmas time.
Been coming here for the last 4 years for our Christmas tree. Every year seems to have a good selection to choose from, though this year seemed they looked a bit more dried out than previous years.
They offer services like netting, cutting the trunk down more, etc. They also will carry the tree out to your vehicle (dont forget to tip!).
