I’m only giving this place 1 star because I’m thankful I found a place to sleep in and because their checkout time is 12 as opposed to 11 like other hotels. First, they screwed up my reservations. When I arrived to check in they said they had no reservation under my name. I had to pull up my phone’s call log to show that I had called earlier that same day to make reservations. Second, after being told over the phone that my room would be ready anytime after 3pm, it in fact was not ready when I arrived to check in at approximately 4:30p.m. Third, the top bed sheet or I guess comforter, if you can call it that, had some staining and discoloration all over it. It also had a burn hole which I discovered the next morning after I had slept in it. :( Fourth, they did not provide any complimentary shampoo/soap. So I ended up just having a water shower. Fifth, there is actually a sign affixed to the inside of the hotel room door that warned you to lock both locks in place when inside the room. I didn’t think much of it ’til my husband said, geez, I guess people have broken in to rob guests in the past… GULP Will not return ever again if I can help it!

I decided to book here because it was a cheap place in Riverside to stay while at an education summit. Welcome: When I first arrived the clerks were more interested in gossiping about other members of the staff before helping me. The welcome and instructions were grunted at me half-heartedly. The signage here is non-existent except for the ones to remind you to lock your room and car doors and that they were not responsible for lost items. Swimming pool hours were not posted but when I went out at 7 pm for a dip the doors were locked. Rooms: The rooms were very clean and seemed to have an updated look about them. Plenty of towels but no coffee or shampoo or anything of that matters to you. You have to pay for wifi(that just reminded me to minus one star) and it was still slow. Noise: I’m pretty sure most others in this motel are permanent-ish tenants and they don’t care how loud they are on a weekday night. Seriously, not really any people I would like to consider neighbors either.

I decided to give this place one more chance because it’s location is so close to my dad’s nursing home. I was really shocked. The young man at the desk that greeted me at 1:15 am was very polite, friendly and personable. The room was modern and fancier this time… It had a flat screen tv and modern décor. But what shocked me the most was that I had misplaced my cellphone upon checking in and when I went to the office to see if I had left it there the young man said I had and returned it to me. I was shocked by his excellent character.

Just a creepy motel across the street from Denny’s. Always freaked me out just PASSING the place. Lets just say it’s known for it’s hooker-infestation.
