Miramar Pizza & Grill

Great great prices for the quantity you get. It’s tough to get a good pizza place in riverside considering there are many in the area but Miramar is very good.

When Miramar opened in my neighborhood, I shook my head thinking the LAST dining experience Riverside needs is yet another Greek-​style pizza and sub shop… at the same storefront location of one after another past failed Greek-​style pizza and sub shops.
They serve the basic take-​out fare of pizza, sandwiches, pasta, fried seafood, but the stuff that keeps me ordering is the Mediterranean offerings: hummus with housemade fried pita strips, flavorful gyros, and my favorite… the enormous spiced chicken shawarma pita with creamy tahini. The aroma of cloves, cardamom, nutmeg is mouth-​watering.
So A-​OK as a local takeout fix, but a destination? Not really.
Oh… and be warned that they do take forever and a day to actually make the food. So call ahead and pad an extra 15 mins to when they say it’ll be ready.
