Marketplace Physical Therapy

Ended up here by chance through my insurance but I couldn’t be happier. As a former professional soccer player I was a little concerned with where my insurance was going to send me but I am very pleased with the hands on therapy that I have been receiving. It’s a family type culture with the personnel employed here and I prefer over other places. They are pushing me to get back into my playing career rather than just going through the motions and I greatly appreciate what they’re doing for me. I definitely recommend them as a physical therapy center as well as the gym, especially if you’re more into a smaller family based gym rather than a big gym with tons of people in it.

I am on my 5^th session of PT with Dr. Nieto and his team of therapists (especially PT Megan). I have injuries to my neck, chest, shoulder and left upper arm. The exercises, massages and the electrical stimulation sessions are working marvels on my muscles. I am feeling stronger and confident of my movements and flexibility, so much so I am here to share my good fortune! I am grateful for their knowledge and experience in rehabilitation. As I continue therapy, I wish to share this wonderful place of healing with ALL who are in need of quality PT care.

Dr Steve Nieto is an amazing Physical Therapist! Very knowledgeable and professional! If you need physical therapy, he is the guy to go to! Highly recommend him!

I have been going to Marketplace Wellness for physical therapy two years now. The entire staff is so pleasant and helpful. They are always encouraging you to do your best all while being thoughtful about your pain level. Dr. Nieto is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He’s pretty funny too, which makes going to therapy an enjoyable experience. I’m so glad that my doctor suggested I come here.

Such an amazing facility! Doctor Steve is just as much helpful as he is knowledgable. Aided me in my ACL rehabilitation and now I’m back on the soccer field playing like nothing ever happened! Saying I highly recommend this place would be an understatement!

So so delighted with the care I have received from Dr. Nieto and his team at Marketplace PT. I injured my hamstring severely in July 2014 while training for a marathon. I was unable to run anymore, which was devastating for me. Through consistent work and rehab at the skilled direction of Dr. Nieto, I am happy to say that my hamstring issue is resolved, I’m stronger than ever, have a new/​better gait and technique and am excited to start chasing down my BQ. So grateful!

The other reviewer is focusing only on the management for his 2 stars… the truth is, I have been to 5 different physical therapists for my foot pain (maybe plantar fasciitis maybe tendonitis), and the only place that really helped was marketplace physical therapy.
First of all, Dr. Nieto will give you a thorough musculoskeletal workup– from moving your legs in all sorts of positions, to watching you walk. He is a doctor of physical therapy and is extremely competent!
The physical therapy itself will be decided by him, and actually performed by one of his highly competent physical therapists.
I have absolutely no complaints about this place, the management, the therapists or the doctor.

So happy to have found a place that actually listens to me and found the source of my pain! It took me three months, four different doctors and several different diagnoses before I got referred here. So grateful!!! P. S. Fumi is the best! So nice!

I went in for some PT on an injured shoulder, and while my therapist Fumi was super-​great (my shoulder is pretty much back to normal), the management of the office left a lot to be desired. Basically, when you check in, it’s like you have to be the one to find out what to do and where to go.
So for example, I emailed them a PDF of my PT prescription from my doc. When I checked in, they didn’t know where it was.
On one of my visits, I walked in and there was no one at the reception. Finally someone came out of a back room. They told me that Fumi was scheduled to be in, but he had called in sick and no one knew that. Finally another PT was sent to help me. He told me to wait because the pulley was being used by someone else, but he didn’t know that there was another pulley on the other side of the work room until the PTA told him (even I knew that). Then they left me to do my warm-​up with no timer. I finished and no one was around, and I didn’t have time to go hunting for them, so I walked out. They called to ask why I had walked out, and the receptionist seemed to have a bit of an attitude about it. Although to her credit, she ended up apologizing.
Another time I walked in for my appointment. There were people at the front desk, two PTs on the floor, a PTA on the floor, and an intern on the floor. I stood there at the entrance of the work room. No one approached me (they’d all seen me before because this was my 7^th visit). I waited there for a few minutes. Finally I asked the PTA, «Is there something I could be working on?» She said, «Your appt isn’t till 8AM.» She then looked at her scheduled and realized that she was wrong.
Lastly, when you’re finished with your treatment, no one directs you to check out at the front desk. You pretty much have to know to do that. When you go to the front desk, they just stare at you wondering why you’re there. No «How may I help you?» You have to tell them that you’d like to pay your co-​pay.
I liked my PT, but boy, they could use a lot of help with the management and customer service.
