M & T Smog Check

Very good service. Clean waiting room and not a long wait. Plus my car passed! Bringing in another car soon.

I called around to find a reasonably priced place. This place fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly owner and his assistant. They were honest and that was important to me. I had to return 2 times because I needed a new catalytic converter. My experience was frustrating because of what I had to do, but not because of this place. They were strait forward and apologetic for my difficulties.

Friendly and courteous staff along with speedy service. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Will definitely come back!

Had my 2005 Mazda smogged today. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The staff is friendly.

Owner is nice and reasonable

Friendly, younger guy owns/​runs the place, really efficient, especially w/​the advanced equipment he has which not everyone else has.
Came in 3 separate times last month for my vehicles (just moved back to CA) — didnt take more than 20 minutes each time.
Would recommend to all my friends and family.

My husband and I have used several different SMOG locations and I have to say that This one is the BEST by FAR! Bobby is very courteous and will let you know if the wait time is long or not. He told me it would be ½ hour and that is what I waited. I recommend this place to everyone that asks about smog check places.

Went in to do a standard smog, went in to get a price, but the man in charge was very rude. He didn’t seemed to happy to see me. His prices were very, higher then usual smog shops, when I mentioned I wanted to shop around some more he totally snapped at me, Telling me «not to waste his time»! I was in complete shock the way he spoke to me. I wouldn’t defiantly not recommend this place. Not a way to treat potential clients. Thumbs waaaaay down!

The guys are are nice, but the wait is always longer than they say it will be. Plus their waiting room is like an oven… Extremely unpleasant to sit in for longer than 5 minutes. If they give you a wait time, they will hold your spot and you can come back when they are free. I recommend that instead of sitting in their hot box waiting room!

Horrible place! called before I got there for a quote, price was changed $ 10more! Rude and told me if «I didn’t like the price, there’s other places I can go to!»

Closed on a Tuesday at 11am. No one answered their phone. Lame.

Need a smog check? This is the place to do it.
Why? M&T is cheap and they have good customer service.
Anyways, with the coupon from their website it was only $ 30. I drive a Toyota Camry though. I noticed people with trucks and large vehicles pay $ 10 more.
Tips:
–Call ahead to see how long the wait is.
–Print a coupon.
–Bring cash if you’re using a coupon. If I remember correctly, you can pay with card while using the coupon but there will be a $ 5 service charge added. (Don’t complain. The coupon clearly says cash only.)

They are really friendly and have good costumer service!
I am a UCR student, and this place is around 5 ~ 10 minute drive from the campus (it’s really close and easy to find) and their price is pretty good. All you need is to find their coupon on their website and print it out (but it’s cash only if you use coupon, so remember to bring cash!). I drive a regular small car (Honda). With the coupon, I only spend around $ 30-​$ 35 overall including sending in the smog check report electronically (usually it’s around $ 50 so the deal is pretty good with the coupon). I will recommend calling before heading there just in case there was a long wait. When I went on Monday in person, they said the wait is going to be long. So I decide to call on Tuesday afternoon before I head there, and the wait was only an hour, which is pretty good.
PROS
— good customer service and friendly employees
— good deal (print coupon from their website and bring cash. Around $ 30-​$ 40 for regular car)
— close to UCR (5 – 10 min drive)
— there’s a place to sit and wait
CONS
— the wait might be long sometimes, call first to avoid the wait! :)
— cash only if use coupon, but you’re already getting a good deal, so not that big of a problem :)
