Business Owner

Dr. Hoang M. Nguyen’s love for dentistry came from his desire to create beautiful smiles for his patients. What he most enjoys about dentistry is providing relaxing and comforting treatments for his patients. Dr. Nguyen is even an instructor of Tai Chi and VoViNam-​VietVoDao, which aid him in his relaxation dentistry techniques. He has treated over 20,000 patients in the Riverside and San Bernardino area for nearly two decades and is trusted among his patients and their family and friends. He received his DDS at the University of Southern California and received orthodontic training at USDI and HOOTS in Costa Mesa. Dr. Nguyen is also a member of the United States Dental Institute, Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association.

Melody Dental and Dr. Nguyen are amazing. Dr. Nguyen is the best dentist I’ve ever encountered and I have direct exposure to many dentists in Orange County and Riverside Counties. I drive all the way from Costa Mesa
to be treated by this practice. It’ s not only him… his staff are great.
Dr. Nguyen is thorough, smart, and explains everything in laymen’s terms. He also quells the pain out of dentistry through simple t’ai chi breathing exercises. On my first visit, I had no idea he was utilizing t’ai chi methods. He just talked me through the discomforting parts of my treatment; taught me how to breath to relieve the stress – or the triggers of pain. What a unique patient experience!
I discovered – after many years of searching for the best dentist – that the reason why Dr. Nguyen is so good, is because he combines the best of western Dental Medicine – which is apparent with his USC DDS credentials; and his residency training from Loma Linda U. Combine that with the Eastern philosophies and one is exposed to painless and (comfortable) dentistry without narcotics.
Cindy, who assists Dr. Nguyen, is also extremely gentle, not only through her touch, voice and demeanor; but also in just the way she conducts a mouth xray. As a patient educator, she’s phenomenal.

I have been going to Dr Nguyen for years. I came to Dr Nguyen with teeth aches and it turned out I had 7 failed fillings. He was very gentle. I didn’t feel any pain. He was able to take care of all 7 fillings in one day so I wouldn’t have to take another day off of work.
Several months later my mother was in pain so I made an appt with Dr Nguyen and he was able to take care of mother with minimal pain and was able to help calm her nerves. She was very nervous about the treatment but Dr Nguyen and his staff was very kind and patient with my mom. She was able to get her work done with ease.
His staff is very nice and polite. They always greet me with a smile. I am so happy with Dr Nguyen that I have been recommending friends, family, and coworkers to him. Everyone that has come to him for care has told me that they had a great experience and how he takes the time to take care of them. Dr Nguyen is truly a hidden gem in Riverside.
