Hampton Inn & Suites Riverside Corona East

My stay here was quite pleasant. The staff was friendly, the facility was very clean, the breakfast was good and the room was nice… except for one major con. The curtains don’t close! I’ve never seen this in a hotel before but the track for the heavy curtains doesn’t even run the length of the wall. What you’re left with is a sheer curtain right in the middle of the huge window, which means no chance of waking up without the sun beaming in your eyes. This was a big problem for me. If I can’t sleep peacefully, what’s the point?
There’s no fridge or microwave, which is a bummer. I thought all Hampton Inn rooms had them but I guess not.
***Update: I figured out the blinds, y’all! There’s a hidden shade that was tucked at the top of the window. It’s only fair I update my review and change my rating! This was totally a user error, and thank God because it made no sense ;) Great hotel experience!

A perfectly fine hotel. Decent area of town. Nice spread for the free breakfast. No fridge in the room and a little noise from neighboring rooms comes through. Overall well worth the rate.

Had a great night stay very friendly people clean hotel newly updated. The mattress is a little firm for me but other than that it was very nice.

Very poor customer service. The Front Desk Manager, Monica, was rude and inconsiderate. There were a lot of problems with the block of rooms we reserved. She had a very poor attitude about it not once did she apologize or try to make things right. All they cared about was whether or not WE were going to honor our end of the contract. When we made the reservations for several rooms (10+) months in advance, we were forced to sign a contract. We’ve been doing this tournament for the past 10 years and this is the first hotel to do this. We will not be coming back to this place. I recommend you find some place else.

Avoid room 211 at all cost. It is located above the water heater room and the water heater shakes the room at all hrs, 2am, 4am and just about every hour. Not sure why they would build above this and expect guest not to say anything. I had to switch rooms but staff was good about that. Brkfst eggs also
Terrible! Not sure what kind of box they came out of but I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. All staff was great but this place needs some help. I am a fan of Hilton but this one is below the rest.

I give this hotel 3 stars for a few reasons.
First reason is the employees don’t seem to be on the same page with things as simple as a beverage. I stayed on the second floor. The soda machine on this floor was out of every single
selection except for Pepsi. Yes every other selection was not stocked. (Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, AND Gatorade). Conveniently the front desk sells beverages for a dollar more than the vending machine as my mom experienced last night.
I had low blood sugar (glorious life of a T1 diabetic *eye roll) so after frantically jamming every button for the beverages loaded with sugar (minus Pepsi, can’t stand it), I went in my room to grab another dollar. Trudged down stairs and picked out orange juice. Prepared to hand the clerk $ 3, he only asked for $ 2. Cool. Unfortunately I needed another bottle of OJ an hour later. When I brought my $ 2 down, a new clerk was working. He said it was $ 3, but said $ 2 was fine. (??? I was just down here an hour ago)
Breakfast is okay. Decent enough to get your day started. Standard breakfast items.
Finally. I was just reading their elevator inspection certificate, because yes, it takes the elevator that long to go up one floor (I’ve been taking the stairs ever since) and noticed its almost a month past due.

Used to having a microwave and fridge. Thought this was a new hotel not newest in Riverside. It was ok.

Great hotel. I would highly recommend staying here. I have 4 stars instead of 5 because when I checked in, a trainee made a mistake that added over $ 300 to my credit card that could not be removed for over 3 days. Also, the ironing board was wobbly and the iron would fall off and could injure your foot. Also, the office chair in my room and in the business center were very wobbly. Otherwise excellent.
PS. They should provide free wifi.

Made my reservation at least more than 3 weeks ahead. The room was so run down carpet was stained also had gum marks and furniture was damage worn down. Tub needed to be re-​cocked. Repairing the closet door as we were there. Had to ask for a small refrigerator which was brought and put on the floor. Just didn’t meet my expectations. Asked to be moved out. Was told the room would be closed for renovation. Which think was already closed but opened it to try to put us in it. I left the hotel because didn’t feel Comfortable to stay there, after all I had to go through. Really bad. Traumatizing experience. Having to move all out things in than pack it all up and leave.

This place is well-​kept and relatively new. Our room was turned over well (I didn’t understand the «Your Room Has Been Turned Over» Post-​It).
There aren’t a ton of eats around here (lots of residential homes and some businesses). There’s a nice horse trail right next to sidewalk. Parking was never a problem for us. The one day we did eat breakfast downstairs, it wasn’t bad (large assortment).
My gripe would be the following: paper thin walls (I’m a light sleeper) and curt staff. We heard the neighbors yawning and showering one morning and the next morning the upstairs guest had his alarm going off for 15 minutes, both around 6 and 7 am on a Sunday and Monday morning; I’m a morning person but really? The front desk staff seemed more into hearing the story the security/​tech guy (in a yellow safety jacket) was telling (both nights loudly booming through the lobby, well past 10pm) than to help guests.
Would I stay here again? No, sorry. I need my sleep!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!. In addition it didn’t help to have an infestation of bed bugs.
Which Garett was at first apologetic but when he realized I no longer wanted to be a guest at his hotel because of the bacterial infection I contracted from his hotels infestation, he became resistant in providing me with the infestation documentation to provide my pediatrician to treat my children.
His lack of concern DISGUSTS ME!

If I could rate lower or a BIG ZERO 0 I would!!! Horrible dysfunctional staff and never a manager available… A million excuses on why no one in charge is available. I even personally experienced staff and other guest having issues and the staff being zero helpful. Guest were asking for manager and being told in meetings and unavailable!!! What??? How can you deny guest a manger. I hope that they call corporate office to get assistance. Pool towels out constantly, Breakfast a huge dysfunctional mess with buffet bar constantly out of food, breakfast tables not cleaned during breakfast. No one available to help or assist with breakfast. Room not cleaned, told that guest checking out must have rooms cleaned first so the can reoccupy rooms, only one cart for luggage so if its not available its not available. Hallways and elevators are un vacuumed with trash and other stuff all over carpet. Bugs (ants/​spiders etc.) crawling around rooms doors and hallways. Told by staff yes aware of problem but nothing can be done about it. Told that rooms have fridges and microwaves, this is not correct and the rooms don’t even have toilet paper holders, they just set toilet paper on counter as well as coffee maker and other drinking stuff. Really nasty and disgusting. WIFI is beyond ridiculous and phone reception is worse. I can go on and on, this is enough to comment on for now… I am just in shock over all this and specially never expect this poor quality service from any hotel especially a HILTON family hotel. Believe me I will make a call to Hilton and file a complaint after I return home from this mini vacation/​trip.

This place deserves zero stars! Worst customer service ever at the front desk! They need to be retrained on how to treat guests. I booked reservations online a week prior to arrival for 1 double room. Upon arrival, there was a long wait of at least 10 minutes since the receptionist was with another angry guest. When it was finally my turn to check in, I was told they had no double rooms despite the fact that I made a reservation! The receptionist proceeded to tell me that this happens all the time and they overbook! The couple behind me kindly said they booked a double and would be willing to trade with us. The receptionist told me to take a seat while she checked in the guest behind me. About 20 minutes later and 3 other guests went ahead of me as I waited patiently. It took me 30 minutes to check in. There was no apology or any sincerely gesture. She seemed like we were bothering her and she did not want to work here! I am definitely never staying here ever again! After a long day and long flight, I was too tired upon check in to complain. However, tomorrow morning I am going to demand to speak to the manager. What lousy service! Beware! Stay away from this place!

I’ve stayed at a couple of Hampton Hotels, I like them 2^nd to my Embassy Suites.
Embassy Suites Ontario was sold out; as was the Hampton Inn-​Ontario. The Hilton Hhonor’s Operator said that this Hampton was filling up, so let’s book it. I asked if they had upgraded rooms… I need a fridge and microwave. She said that it was standard and the rooms were pretty much equipped the same, other than a sitting area… But all come with the fridge and microwave like Embassy Suites… Sigh… Not true.
Siri directed me here… Construction going up in the business-​strip mall lot. Soon to have a gas station on lot. The hotel is toward the rear; away from the street noise. I didn’t notice any construction noise and my room was towards the front.
The hotel looks new, neat and clean. The front desk, kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was pretty good; as most Hampton’s. And I like that Wing Stop and Carl’s Jr are a step away.
Ok, here are the «Bloopers» (Sad Face)
After getting my keys, I went to my car to lug in my bags and cart. My room keys didn’t work. I dragged everything back down to make sure I was reading the right room #. I got new keys… they didn’t work. I used the House Phone at the elevators to have someone come up. I got another set. I put my stuff in the room and went to get a bag of chips and ice. The ice machine on my floor didn’t work (2^nd floor), so I went to the 3^rd floor to get ice. So, I’m locked out a 3^rd time.
I got in and plugged up my equipment and looked around for the fridge and microwave. I had food and juices that I brought to save time & money. This room (239) did not come with a fridge & microwave; and they were booked up. By now I’m wondering why I got out of bed. I grabbed a plastic bag and went back to the 3^rd floor to fill it with ice to keep my food cold FOR 2 DAYS. I had to fill the ice twice a day for 2 days. And order food.
The coffee machine, cups and ice bucket are stored in the bathroom. Yuck! My bathroom door was busted. But it still worked. And either the floor or bed closer to the wall smells of urine. I couldn’t smell the the first night so much because I had food containers that smelled of onions and spices, so I used my room spray. But an issue here for sure.
I’m at another Hampton this Friday. Wish me luck.

Booked this last minute on Priceline with Express Deals. I was thinking it was going to be the Ayers in Corona West side since it had a similar label on the Express Deals and normally you can figure out which hotel it is going to be. But this time I was wrong.
Well I wish I didn’t assume because my booking turned out to be this hotel instead and I am not pleased with my stay so far. No refunds on Express Deals otherwise I would have gone somewhere else.
Every Hampton Inn & Suites that I have been to has ALWAYS been good. This time not so much.
The night clerk was nice.
The hotel is not nice though. The front desk is decorated nice and that is it. The rooms are very basic.
The elevator is unstable. The elevator moves with the door still open, and the close button does not work. The door takes forever to close too.
The elevator button (on the outside) shocked me too!!!
The door stopper is weird on the hotel room door also.
There is no fridge in this room. Only some have fridges. No microwave either.
There is apparently 12 rooms on the 4^th floor that are smoking rooms and the rest of the hotel rooms, non-​smoking. Well, I think I got bad luck and got a smoking room. (I am allergic!!!) Go figure. Either that or someone was an inconsiderate asshole. When I walked in, the whole room wreaked of smoke!!! I had to open the window when it is like 40 degrees out. The bed wreaks of smoke too. So either the housekeeper did not change the sheets or it was the housekeeper that was the nasty inconsiderate smoker. The fact that the room wreaked of smoke tells me no one cleaned and that is nasty! Too tired though so at this point just airing out the room is what is going to be my solution for the smoke. The sheets look clean but that does not mean they are.
There are a few pros. Like I said, the night clerk seemed nice. The other pro is that the actual mattress of the bed is amazingly comfortable. I really do hope the sheets were changed though. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the comfort level of the bed. I love Hampton Inn chain of beds. (Favorite beds are the beds at the Hyatt Place in Ontario. They need to build more Hyatt’s lol or more hotels need to use similar beds to Hyatt and Hampton Inn’s.)
I will update my review if anything good or bad comes up during the rest of my stay.
*update* So now that I aired out the smokey room due to whoever was in here before I checked in… I tried turning the heat on. It says the word «on» but when I press the arrow up to make the heat go on, nothing happens. No sound, nothing. There is no air coming out either. Can’t find the plug to try to reset it either. Its fucking cold in here now. This is ridiculous!!! Changing my review from 3 stars to 2 stars now!

I will never stay at this Hampton Inn ever again. The room was not available at 3pm check in time. When we finally got to our room, the shower had black grime along the bottom and the trash cans had no liners. A housekeeper walked in the room right after we got there, which had me under the impression it was never cleaned. The pillow case also had a stain on it. The next day, we never received room service. I had to go down and ask for replacement towels and toiletries. When we checked out I spoke with the manager about our awful experience and said she would be in contact with me. I didn’t hear from her until I submitted my survey about my stay. She asked for the credit card number to process a refund, 4 days later I am still waiting on the refund. I’ve had better experiences at a hostel than I did in this hotel. Save yourself, don’t stay here.

Went there for a relaxing night
Pros:
The location is nice because its off of river walk with nice trees, a river and nature walk.
The staff was friendly when we checked in. he pool and the hot tub are nice. The breakfast they provide is great but not a lot of options for people with food allergies. The beds there are pretty comfortable
Cons:
The room seemed nice. We had a queen bed suite. I was dissapointed there wasn’t a mini fridge and bathtub in the bathroom.
I was very disturbed that our room was infested with ants. All over the desk, night stands and coming out of the sink in the bathroom. We took pictures to document it. The hotel desk gave us a $ 20 discount. I thought they could have done more. Maintenance also came in when we had a «do not disturb sign on our door» they then sprayed something in our room while we were there.
Long story short, it was an OK experience. Not sure if we will stay here again.

The staff here is very friendly. Ended up staying another day because we enjoyed the amenities. A continental breakfast is included and they allow you to take it into your room. After 10 pm for your safety the automatic doors are shut and you must use your room key to open them. The hotel is in a nice area and isn’t too far from food and the mall. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable and large. The only reason I did not give this place a 5 is that my room did not have a fridge or microwave and the wifi was very weak. The pool is a little small but was not overly crowded and the jacuzzi was not working. If in the area I recommend staying here. :)

It’s really really bad here. No fridge, didn’t clean my room after I asked them to after they didn’t all day, dirty, Internet is super spotty, employees swimming (raising hell) in the pool with their kids, front desk ppl are MIA, no water in breakfast to go bags, breakfast buffet is not normal, dirty half used lotion bottle in my room. This one is bad. I stay at Hampton Inns 30ish weeks per year. I defiantly think they don’t care much about franchise policy.

Stayed at this hotel from the 9^th-​12^th of june for a little vacation. I myself, work as a front desk agent at the double tree hotel, and I have to say they have an amazing team at the front desk. Monica and Breanna were very attentive and accommodating to me and my family. If you stay here, you wont be disappointed!

If I could give a score that’s less than 1 star, I would just for the horrible customer service we received at this hotel. So I’ll give the the 1star for the nice room. Everything else was horrible.
We had a block of 15rooms for memorial day weekend because of a family event. It was booked 3 months in advance. 2weeks to the event my guests started having issues with the group code because Monica Sanchez (the manager) was telling my guests there were no rooms available. I had to call corporate to report her and it was resolved. On the
Day of check — in they had given out some of my rooms and cancelled another one. And Byron at the front desk said there was nothing he could do about it. We stayed there one night and had to transfer to another hotel the following night at my own expense. It was a mess and I was embarassed
because I had guests from out of state and overseas who were stuck without a room. I’m sure this is not the image Hilton wants to be known with. As a member of Hhonors I doubt if I will be staying at another Hampton Inn. EVER

First let me just say that I stay in hotels every month and I’ve stayed at plenty of Hampton Inn hotels across the west. I have NEVER left a bad review for a hotel. It doesn’t take a lot to make me happy but at a minimum I expect my room to be cleaned and my bed made every day. This hotel could not accommodate that. My room was never cleaned. When I asked why they said it was because they were full to capacity and couldn’t get to my room. Really??? I paid around $ 300.00 for 2 nights and they can’t make my bed. I asked the manager to call me on Monday morning because I wasn’t happy about it and what do you know… never received a call.
Here is a question for you. If the hotel is full to capacity why isn’t the manager working? Does he need the weekends off when the hotel is so slammin busy? What about a night Manager?
The room was very noisy. Had to call to get the neighbors to stop fighting.
My girls were all excited about the cookie (we travel a lot). But no cookies either. I could have stayed anywhere and gotten this kind of bad service at a motel 6.
The one star is for the very nice assistant in the breakfast area. Very nice and very positive.

I loved staying here. The pillows are so soft and bed is firm but inviting. The comforter and blankets are perfect. Very clean. Rooms are spacious. The restroom is clean, spacious and I like how the toiletries are neutrogena. The complimentary breakfast is tasty. I like how you can make your own waffle. The have real orange juice not the water down stuff. It has a swimming pool and jacuzzi. The pool looks about 25 yards not bad for a hotel. The other thing I liked is that it had a food court with in walking distance of the hotel, which is nice if you don’t feel like eating hotel food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it feels very cooperate and the room # was missing from our room. It took us a couple if minutes to figure it out.

The hotel is clean and all of that. Our room was 409 and every 30 min there was a sound coming from somewhere that at night could be annoying.
Breakfast was ok, people at the lobby not very friendly tho.

After a very long travel day we arrived here at the Hampton Inn. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the front desk. He promptly checked me in and handed me a few snacks.
Our room was generally clean. The room had a sitting chair, desk and chair, tv, and coffee maker. The bed was very comfy. The noise level was minimal, the vent in the bathroom runs ²⁴⁄₇ and you can hear people talking in the hallway as they are passing by. They provide internet, but remember your sharing it with the entire hotel, so don’t expect super fast internet.
Complimentary breakfast is average. They had cereal, oatmeal, pastries, fruit, eggs, sausage and only one waffle maker. It takes 2 min to make each waffle so get in line.
Only issue I ran into was we were staying here for two nights, but they only activated our room key for one night, so on day two we couldn’t get in the back door entrance or our room. We had to go to front desk to get our keys activated which was a bit inconvenient.

Nice clean well-​designed Hotel with a pool, hot tub, free WiFi and a large breakfast bar. Their no party policy means a solid nights sleep. Bonus– they have small packages of Tabasco! Even the coffee was good, with multiple options Robust, regular and decaf.
