terrible… she has no concern for the requests of parents, has no regard for professional courtesy, cancels at the last minute, and gives way too many excuses. this person spends more time with her dog (who she connects better with than people_​) I DO NOT recommend her in any way. terrible waste of money and time.

The leadership at this office is problematic. The front staff desk is kind but seems to constantly change. I get a tense feeling at this office, and the clientele in the rest of the shopping center leaves much to be desired. I have heard from a few that Dr. Bergin’s counseling is counterproductive for many clients, I am on of those as well. Some may love her but a judgmental person is not who I was looking for in a therapist.

I am writing my review solely on the experience of one therapist (intern) in this practice. Her name is Maribel Leon and I would NEVER recommend her to not even my worst enemy. Unfortunately her inexperience and lack of concern to help her clients reflects on this entire practice. I was referred to this practice through my insurance company when I was seeking out help for not only my 3 year old son who has autistic traits, but also our entire family. I was pawned off onto this intern Maribel. I truly went into it with an open mind because we so desperately want to get our son the help he needs and deserves to live a happy life. With that being said, I saw Maribel once in her office to discuss my child and she came to our home once to meet with him. After meeting with him she said she would be in touch with me after she spoke to her supervisor. She wasn’t. I had to contact her and basically ask her if seeking out different tests and services were appropriate for my child after pretty much doing my own research and diagnosis of him. She said yes, and she wasn’t the therapist for him, that he needed in home care. I was okay with that answer until I got off the phone and began to think. «She did not discuss with me what she observed.» «She did not offer me any advice.» «She did not offer me any referrals to an in home therapist.» «What did she do for us, especially our son, except to make a few bucks for herself??» With that being said, I called her on a friday and asked her for a referral to an in home therapist because I was so overwhelmed that she discontinued services for my son. I truly believed we were on the right path, and she was going to help us and guide us in the right direction. A week went by and guess what? NO WORD AT ALL from her. I had to call AGAIN, but this time left a message for the head of this practice. I felt this person would want to be notified of what poor practice their intern is displaying. They chose not to call me back, but Maribel did and said she would refund my money. Who goes into the business of «helping» children but really doesn’t??? The money is so irrelevant! All I wanted from the time she chose to discontinue services with us was a referral to someone else who could help us, and she STILL could not produce, or do HER JOB!
I just truly hope that someone researches this intern before going to her, and does not waste their time or money. YOU, your time and money are worth more than the headache of dealing with this woman. I hope this entire practice is not ran the same way, because people (especially children) deserve to be happy and get the help they need and want when they are ready to seek it.
