Clark’s Nutritional Center

For some reason this place seems too sterile for me, more like a pharmacy, everything is laid out and spaced out so organized. I never really want to buy anything here even though I am a health food junkie.
Maybe its the lighting or décor in general but probably just dont have what foods I like.

The store had quite a selection of health items; however, I was disappointed in the produce. I had an option between hard green bananas and overly ripe ones. The oranges weren’t very fresh either. I ended up only getting a couple of fresh produce items. I did like all the brand options on packaged items though. It was nice to have options.

Definitely the place to go for vegan basics like nutritional yeast or brown rice syrup, as well as quick prepared vegan wraps and the like. Not really the place to go for fresh produce.
And I’m tired of the assumption that all vegans can afford to pay an arm and a leg for groceries, and I long for the day when I can buy things at reasonable prices. I’m a grad student not some yuppie mom, OK?!?

This is my go to place in Riverside for my healthy food fix and my running supplements. They have a great selection of my favorites like Kombucha, Kale Chips, & all the vitamins I can ever need to feel great. They also carry gu gels if you ever need them ASAP since they are cheaper online. This place also has a wonderful selection of soy products for the Vegans. Their staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a great section of natural fitness supplements for those looking for dairy free protein powder and plant based pre and post workout. I get my Vega pre and post workout from here and it’s reasonably priced. They carry LVFT clothing, weights, lifting accessories, and other gym goodies for those interested. Great place!

This is the closet one to me, they are smaller and they don’t carry everything I need but they do carry other delicious items such as produce! It’s not a far drive out to the other two locations in the IE. If ever I’m in The Coachella valley desert I can stop by to the one in Desert Mirage

I’ve been to this location a few times and the vegetable and fruit selection is small. Also they have those little nat bugs flying around. My onion was very old and molded. They clearly don’t check to see if things are fresh. Some of the staff don’t really seem to pleasant. My son came here yesterday to purchase a shirt. They guy that helped him was friendly he said, but the manager was saying bye to every and just stared at him. She didn’t say anything really !! Is this store racist ??? Pick and choose who you want to speak to. I will not be returning to this location ever again …

Great and really the only choice for organic food in the IE (that I am aware of). Reasonably priced and friendly staff. I visit about once a week. They also have a book department, exercise equipment sales and isles of supplements/​vitamins, etc. Visit Clark’s for all your healthy choice needs.

This is the place to go for nutritional foods. They have everything you can think of for nutritional foods. They have a large selection of vitamins. I also like their drink section. I especially like some of the chia seed drinks.
I have a sweet tooth sometimes, so when I go here, I like to get their banana chocolate chip cookies. These are so good that usually they are sold out quickly.
They have a wide selection of items for general cooking. They have a large selection of breakfast cereals, fruits and vegetables, herbs, healthy frozen food, milks, eggs, and many other things.
This store is always immaculately clean. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I’m so thankful to have a store like Clark’s close to home. If you’re in to all natural/​organic or want homeopathic supplements, this is a quality establishment to frequent. Whether I’m buying bread, veggies, Stevia sodia, colloidal silver, Herb Pharm liquid Echinacea, raw honey, raw Agave, Pro Bars (70% raw food bar that’s actually delicious), herbal teas, Ostrim, they have such a great variety of items to choose from.
The other thing I really like about Clark’s is the staff. Everyone there always asks if I’m finding everything ok. They all seem to have a photographic memory of every item location in the store, and all are always happy to help you in finding it. For items not in the store, they’ll order it from other locations, then call you once it’s in. It’s nice to have such a great selection of quality health items in Riverside (especially without a Whole Foods conveniently located), and it’s even better to have professional staff to interact with while shopping there.

This Clark’s location is a small market in the converted building of the old De Anza Theater. It has some prepared sandwiches, but they’re not consistent with having them in stock. This is a great location to pick up vegan /​gluten-​free /​organic odds ‘n ends.

Expensive but top quality. This is my new to go place for vitamins, protein powders and bars and chocolate. Love it and highly recommend it!

Store is clean, well stocked and they have a good selection of organic and specialty items not easily found around town. The employees are ok but not overly helpful or friendly. I never feel especially welcomed at the store and the cashiers often give off a vibe that they are being bothered. For such a small independently owned store I would think they would take more pride in providing outstanding customer service. I’ve been going to this store for several years now and it’s always had that same blah vibe where customer service is concerned. I’d probably shop here more often if I felt more welcomed.

I really love this place.
I go here specifically for the produce, because they have a wide array of local, organic produce. The selection of organic produce is much better than that of Sprouts, and it is priced reasonably.
They have a vast selection of vitamins and supplements, but the prices are a bit high if not on sale. I usually go elsewhere for Vitamins.
I wish they was a deli, but there is not. They used to have a smoothie bar type setup, but they closed it.
Overall, a local gem I hope it never goes away.

I have shopped at this store and the much bigger one in Loma Linda for over 9 — years. The vitamins and supplements were my initial draw, especially the reasonable prices and frequent sales.
Since then, however, I am a semi-​regular produce shopper, and the addition of grass-​fed meat and free range chicken has widened my grocery list. While expensive, I feel the dollar or two saved elsewhere is offset by the time, money and gas ratio.
I keep a stash of parking chits in my glove box so I can immediately enter the store. A nice downtown option to the often abominable Maxi Foods. Godwins co-​op is another organic store I admire in Riverside. But Clark’s is close and mighty convenient.

I have been to this Clarks a few times to pick up a few tea supplies. In the winter I tend to be a prominent tea drinker. I strongly recommend coming here for tea, the selection can be overwhelming at first but once you know the basics, it should be okay from there .
The environment wise is kept clean and fresh. People have complained about the produce there and I have noticed it isn’t as appetizing because of a few bruises. Better off just to go to Trader Joes a few minutes away and pick up organic produce. Customer service is decent to say the least. It varies on the day you arrive. I only come here for their wide variety of tea and vitamins. It’s great but Trader Joes is a lot more customer friendly.

Outrageously Rude and Anti-​Asian Customers!
The young girl at the entrance signing up customers for getting points from purchases is outrageously rude; she gave me ugly stares. After she displayed her savage attitude to me, I asked her to cancel my subscription, she refused to delete my personal information from her computer. Her asst mgr came out immediately shouted at me, «You have to sign an Opt-​Out document if you want to cancel your subscription.» It should be an easy way to instantly delete my subscription that she just filled it out, but she refused. I told her that I just spent $ 100.00 and will not be back. She cared less and walked away. She has just lost my business; my family and friends will never shop there again.

Wow! This place is a health food junkie’s dream store. It’s quite large with a huge supply of health food, supplements and alternative medicines. On my first visit there, a couple days ago, I was in a rush, and stopped by hoping to find a specific over the counter alternative medicine product. Even though the the store is large, I easily spotted the signs pointing me to the right isle. However, once there, it may have taken me a while to figure out which item I wanted… IF a wonderful employee hadn’t approached me, almost immediately, and asked if she could help me find something. I told her what I needed, and she made a recommendation, and almost as quick as that, I was on my way. AWESOME!
I will stop back by very soon, for an unhurried, and thorough exploration of the while store… I can hardly wait!!!

I needed lemongrass oil to attract swarming honeybees. Not sure if that’s going to work, but they had it, and a helpful someone directed me in a friendly, efficient manner toward it. And it only cost $ 5.
Can’t complain!

This health food store has just won my heart all over again.
Besides being one of the largest around, with so many choices of fresh produce, natural foods, books, nuts, sprouting seeds, teas, and supplements, I have just discovered that they carry one of THE BEST brands of coffee beans on this planet. One I fell in love with while on my latest Oregon trip.
We are talking the Raven’s Brew brand.
Raven’s Brew is a little roastery that hails only from Washington and Alaska. And they feature a unique collection of interesting and different roasts that can make everybody happy. There are not that many distributors down here in So Cal. I thought I had to order it online (which I just did), but now I don’t have to panic when I run out, and can just trot down here anytime I want.
Clarks, you are so smart and sophisticated.
