I love how the kids interact with making there new friend. My kids don’t like stuffed animals but the fact that they helped put a heart inside and stuffed there furry friend made it special to them. They picked out whatever clothes they liked and now they take that stuffed animal everywhere. Things here can add up pretty fast. But it’s a neat experience for the kids.

Came in during the afternoon with my son. I got him the 2 minions for $ 35(I figured I saved a couple of dollars with that deal). The girls all greeted us when we walked in. The girl who stuffed the minions was super sweet and kept talking to my son(who happens to be super shy). They were all friendly and approachable. I wish they bring back the $ 25 deal where you get the bear+clothes+shoes. I own(I mean my son owns) like 10 Build-A-Bears. It’s expensive sometimes.

Unilocal 100 Challenge 2016, #3 of 100 Nice and clean store on the bottom level of Tyler Galleria. located closer to Macy’s. I am a get in and out person when it comes to visiting the mall. If you enter by Red Robin and Pizza 90 by Tyler St. you will be there in a cinch. I appreciate when stores are open and do not feel cluttered. For as much stuff as they carry it is very organized. Went in to pick up 2 more honey girls for my little girl’s bday. She picked up a honey girl a few weeks before at a different location. It is not cheap but not expensive. We were able to get 2 of the characters, Risa and Viv at 2 for $ 35, outfits, pjs, boots, accessories for a total of $ 140. I was expecting more of the $ 200 price range but I was surprised and glad it was less. The staff is very nice. They do a great job of code switching between the adults and the kids. I appreciate that they go above and beyond with their kindness to kids. There is no way I could work here but the employees there do a wonderful job with their spirit and enthusiasm. I do recommend getting there when they open or when it is not too busy. If there is a line for the stuffing machine you may be there for a lengthy amount of time. Take the kids and have a little fun. There are some cool Star Wars characters as well. I secretly wanted a Chewbacca and a Boba Fett but I had to remember who I was there for. HAHA!

This was my children’s first experience at Build-A-Bear workshop. And it was a total success! Upon walking in we weren’t greeted or told where to start, So we wandered around the store for awhile to check things out. Once we got started Christina was very friendly and had a great attitude. However majority of the process we figured everything out on our own. There was a decent selection of animals to choose from & tons of adorable outfits for the bears, that it made it so hard to pick just one! The experience is so sweet for the kids but it can add up. For two bears & their outfits it came to $ 100. All in all my boys had a blast & love their new pals!

Build A Bear has been kind of a new discovery for me. Since the Galleria at Tyler has been our«go-to» mall location the past couple of years, this interesting store was an interesting curiosity for me. One day I decided to stroll inside, after navigating through an obstacle course of children and parents I was able to get a feel for the whole vibe of the place. Simply put — its fun! The idea is awesome: build your own stuffed animal… customize it… dress it… even name it and issue it a «birth certificate» that will make it unique. Needless to say, totally AWESOME idea if your a parent, a kid or just young at heart. The workers there are very friendly — but sometimes you have to remind them to talk to you like an adult if you don’t have children in tow with you. They have a steady core of stuffed animal shells you can build on, stuff, add scents to, add sounds to… even add a beating heart to when the chest is pressed! Add to that a rotating selection of seasonal animals of all kinds. Bunnies, bears, dragons, unicorns… you name it and they’ll eventually have it. I’ve brought my wife and my mom here and they’d each built their own furry friends. I even indulged myself once and created my own one-of-a-kind blue dragon(love my lil’ Ardy!) If you have a little kid, this is certainly a fun place to go! The prices are very reasonable as well. Sometimes the clothes are a lil pricey but they often have sales… and you can often find clothes for your creations cheap on Ebay! A true find for the arctophile in us all!

First experience at Build-A-Bear. I felt like we were left to wander around a bit without direction. In some settings I don’t mind that, but when part of a stores experience(pricing) includes associate participation that’s a problem. We were there an hour before closing and there were two employees and two guests. I mentioned that it was our first time there and instead of telling us the activities that were available I was told,“I couldn’t tell.” After the bear was returned to us I spied the bath and we kind of dumped the bear in there and gingerly used the foot pump(still not sure if customers are allowed to) then went to checkout. The recipient of the bear was happy and probably didn’t notice the lack in service as much as I did. So we’ll probably be back. If there were 2.5 stars I’d probably give that, but since there aren’t…

First time checking this place out, and how fun!!! Also can see how it might be a bit pricey if you go all out with tons of accessories for the stuffed animal too. I loved the pet section where your bear(stuffed animal) can have a pet dog, with a pet bed, leash, food bowl etc. And the clothes… Don’t get me started! Just ADORABLE! I could buy all of the dresses and outfits lol This might seem super weird and random but I bought a bear outfit for my Pomeranian puppy because I was wondering if it would fit her. I bought her a graduation outfit with cap and gown and it totally fits!!! She’s a 5lbs Pom. So not only will I come here to build a bear, but I will come here to pickup gear for my Pomeranian too! Lol

Normally love build a bear. I don’t mind over paying for a stuffed animal because it’s such a special experience. But not today. My four year old was totally rushed and the guy helping us had no patience for my shy daughter. Instead he kept yelling for help with the line of people forming. Which I get but he payed no attention to her and even forgot to do the heart routine. He told us to going find a outfit while someone else finishes up the bear. Meaning we couldn’t «wash» or «dress» the bear until the we made our way up the check out line because who every was suppose to finish our bear forgot. That wasn’t even the worst part. I get some people don’t work under presser. And it was pretty busy in the store. The worst part was the managers attitude when I told her I was disappointed with our experience. She was like«it’s store policy to have it finished up here». No real apology. Never coming back to this store.

My kids love this place but the only reason I give it a 3 stars is because it is pretty expensive.

This is a sweet, little store in the Galleria At Tyler mall. The staff is equally as sweet. We came here to buy a gift for our new grandson, carefully selecting the perfect plush, teddy bear ‘skin’ and voice box of choice to add to our creation. Mind you, we came in by ourselves, without our grandson. Still, an Associate managed to sucker us into doing some ritual that involved stuffing a satin heart inside it, kisses, hand motions, and wishes. After stuffing the bear, we were directed to the shower station to give the bear an air bath and brush down. Then, we moved onto the computer stations to create the bear’s birth certificate and to give him a name. Although we felt a little silly doing all of this, we happily obliged. In some silly way, we believed that, if we followed the entire ritual and put our heart into everything we did, it would magically bring Bubby Bear to life. Bubby could then whisper into our grandson’s ear every night and remind him just how much we love him, since we can’t always be around. I don’t know if that sounds creepy or cheesy, now that I typed it, but I think it’s just plain SWEET.

I went here a few times to get my babies fixed. They are usually nice and helpful here, maybe sometimes TOO talkative but I guess that’s their job plus they’re usually around little kids. Anywho, we went to get one of our bears restuffed and resewed and had to go back the same day since he was overstuffed. The following day we had to return again to have him sewn up because his stitching came out!
