I started seeing Dr. Tomazin with my two boys a few months ago. I stopped taking them to our insurance covered Dr. as they refused to do fillings without sedation. Dr. Tomazin and his staff are very caring and helpful. The Dr. and his staff filled my 6 year old sons teeth and he didn’t feel a thing and their calm demeanor kept him calm. They explain things to kids without talking down to them, or just not talking to them at all. I have to pay for x rays and cleanings out of pocket but I find their fees fair. The fillings cost me the same at my insurance covered dentist so it’s worth going to a better environment! I highly recommend this dentist office.

I basically had given up trying to find a dentist and stopped going to the dentist for 3 years because of it. I eventually broke one of my crowns and it was hurting so I was forced to find someone who would work on it. I went to 2 other places before landing at Dr. Kim’s office. I can proudly say I found a new dentist and office that I LOVE.
The first thing I was looking for was someone that followed the proper safety protocols for removing mercury fillings. I found on their website that they did, so I called an explained my current situation with hesitancy to be x-​rayed and lack of trust with dentists ordering procedures that didn’t need to be done. (an experience 2 other members had with one dentist)
I showed up to my appt. I loved the two office girls, we connected and that was great. The dentist Dr. Kim spent at least 40 min explaining my options for treatment, which for me was the deal breaker and why I decided to receive treatment there. I also like that he’s holistic but not over the top about it either. Like Buddha says, «the middle way».
I now have a fixed tooth and decided I’ll go ahead and get all the mercury out of my mouth at their office as well as a night guard I’ve needed to replace desperately for years.
The office is very nice and clean and staff is great. I highly recommend their office to anyone.
Oh yeah and Dr. Thomazin is great too… and he went to USC. Which in my opinion is excellent. I’d definitely trust someone more that went there. He also went to extra effort to save my tooth, which earned him much respect in my eyes.

Took my 3 year old son to get a root canal because of my sons age It had be done under general Anesthesia. As parents we were really concerned but Dr Kim and his staff did an amazing job to address our concerns. The procedure went very smooth and my son was up and about 2 hours. I would like to thank Dr Kim, Dr Chad and Debbie for all their help.

I really hate writing bad reviews, but I feel it is necessary to share my experience at Dr. Kim’s office.
I kept on giving this place a chance but boy was I wasting my time. Every time I went to my visits the wait time was extremely long. In the beginning I met with Dr. Kim. After the exam and taking X-​rays he said I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I then scheduled the appointment with Dr. Chad because Dr. Kim didn’t have anything open in the next month. When I went to get my fillings, I waited two hours in the room until he finally decided to come in. He ended up doing four fillings instead of two which cost me twice of what they had quoted me.
It doesn’t end there, after my last visit I was scheduled for a deep cleaning which I never went to because I was still feeling discomfort. Few months have passed and until this day I am still receiving bills from Dr. Kim’s office for a $ 30 dollar balance!!! They have literally sent me a bill once a week for the last three months. A couple of days ago I decided to call them in regards to a letter they sent me for the outstanding balance, which I knew it was a mistake! I talked to Jen who is in charge of the billing; I mentioned to her that this balance was sent by mistake and that I had already paid everything I owed. She was very rude and stated that it was not billed by mistake and that it was for a past visit for a cleaning that I had done! I stated to her numerous of times that I never went back after my fillings and she still kept saying that It was not true that they had already been paid by my insurance company. She said that I was accusing them of something very serious and that they had proof that I was in that day, due to a payment I made. I kept insisting that something went wrong and she made it seem like I was lying!!! After I mentioned to her that I was going to call my insurance to file a fraud claim she said she would have to talk to the girls that worked that day, but they had already left for the day and she would return my call four days after. After hanging up the phone with her she called me an hour after she stated that she had found the mistake and that it was their fault and she was sorry. REALLY AFTER YOU CALLED ME LYER!!! This made me very mad and I don’t plan in going there ever again!!! Now looking back it makes me wonder if they over diagnose when I got my fillings to make money!!!
I really wish I would’ve gotten the warm, friendly experience here that so many other people have mentioned. I wanted to settle at this dentist for a long time but unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way for me.

I stumbled across Dr. Kim’s office while looking for another one that I was referred to, and I am happy that I did. Out of 5 previous dental offices that I’ve been to, this is the first where I don’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Dr. Kim and his staff are very kind and helpful. He is social and personable unlike other dentists I’ve seen. I am happy that I found him and I highly recommend his office.

Let me just say the reviews are very on point about Dr. Anthony Kim’s office! Dr. Kim actually cares about his patients and takes time to explain everything in detail about any questions or concerns. His staff is phenomenal and I was amazed by the whole experience. My husband and I had appointments the same day, but at different times and I went before him. After his appointment he said the very same things I said about Dr. Kim and the staff. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone who is unsure about who to go to. Dr. Kim, please continue to do what you and your wonderful staff do best. You all are great people!

Omg Anthony is amazing. I had an emergency cavity situation the day after Halloween and he was totally able to clean up all the M&M fragments and Hershey pieces. Go to him. He is a twix bar’s worst nightmare

I visited Dr. Kim’s office yesterday, and I was as stressed as can be. A crown I had had permanently put in just 5 days before, with my longtime dentist, was feeling uncomfortably high, to where I could not even close my mouth or chew food without the feeling that I am going to break either the crown or the tooth it comes in contact with… in a word, I was miserable. I only see my dentist once a year, when I visit family in Europe, so going to her for an adjustment was not an option. So I looked up dentists in my area, and came across Dr. Kim’s office as the most highly recommended, by far. Jennifer was able to get me an appointment right away, and the whole staff– Jennifer, Andy, and April, were as genuinely nice and professional as can be. As for Dr. Kim himself, he was what I had been hoping he would be– a true professional, who took care of my problem with precision and ease.
Thank you Dr. Kim, and everyone from your wonderful staff that I met yesterday! You turned my stressful day around, and I am glad I now have a dental office to go to in case anything ever happens again:)

After going to another dentist for many years in the Hollywood area (whom we actually liked very much) but dreading the outrageously long drive and hair-​raisingly scary freeways, Mr. B and I agreed it was time to find someone just as good, but closer to home. Easy to say, but a very hard bill to fill.
Finding Dr. Kim was meant to be. We first met Dr. Kim at our favorite sushi spot. I had recognized him as one of my Unilocal friends. I hadn’t paid too much attention that he was a dentist until we talked. I just knew Unilocaler Anthony K., aka Dr. Kim, was acing me out of Dukedoms at my favorite sushi place and local car wash. Fye!
Then, the auspicious 2^nd meeting a few months later, same sushi place. Kismet… you know… Fate. Nice guy, nice family, but darn it, he was still challenging my check-​ins.
«Let’s try him next time we need a dentist,» I said. «He has really great reviews.»
Well, next time came too quickly. Mr. B is well known in the best of dentistry circles for his fragile teeth, massive dental bills, and now gorgeous implants. His expenses could have been a retirement package for many of us (I am not really kidding). With yet another emergency, they got him in quickly, as in… the same day. Wow. I had to see Dr Kim in action, so I came along for the ride.
First impressions? A beautiful office in a nicer neighborhood of Riverside. Spacious, mellow, airy, beautifully and comfortably decorated. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The technology was impressive, the thoroughness, beyond anything I have ever experienced. Dr. Kim and his extremely competent, friendly staff made us feel at ease from the word «go».
Mr. B ended up needing a tooth pulled for yet another implant. The entire implant procedure can be accomplished in one office, rather than, as with our previous dentist, three different specialists in three different offices. Definitely a plus. And now Dr. Kim has done a bite study and a plan to correct Mr. B’s teeth/​jaw misalignment. Mr. B is so thrilled after so many years of complaining.
I have since become his patient as well. My experience so far has been better than I could have ever anticipated. Hey… I might even start looking forward to my dental appointments… or is that just wrong?
His hollistic approach to dentistry and health is very commendable, and one more reason I will be recommending him for my daughter, her family, and my son… and anyone else who will listen.
Final note: I know he won’t check in to his own business, so maybe I will get to be Duchess over him. Ha ha ha (evil laugh).

I just had some work done recently by Dr. Kim. He is amazing. A true professional, very friendly and knows his profession. I highly recommended him. Oh and his office staff are very professional and friendly too.

If one is looking to be just a number at any average dental office, then you could go there. If one is looking for a holistic, well knowledgable, compassionate, calm and empathetic dental office, Dr. Kim DDS’s office is the place to call and go. They are worth the wait for the excellent care received. I am usually get very anxious when I think of a dental visit. All staff especially hygienist were all pleasant. She was calm and spoke soft to me while I was getting a crown on my moler. They allowed me to listen to my ipod. Yes there scheduling is tight, BUT they ARE worth the wait.
A holistic dentist is hard to find. I researched many in the United States and I was willing to travel to get scene by one. I chose Dr. Kim based on the knowledgable staff. I was persistant with many holistic dental offices and many seemed unknowing as to the procedures and some seemed not to care about my needs or wanted to know me. Now my whole family will be scene by Dr. Kim DDS.
He suggests preventative measures to take and suggests a healthy lifestyle. We live healthy and this dentists fits right in with us. As much as I like him, I hope not to have to go back to much. However, we are relieved to know that we are able to go to a conscious and detail oriented dentist.

I have a huge fear of dentists and have issues with them being able to numb up my teeth/​gums. So i have tended to not go to them through fear of pain.
Everyone at the practice is outstanding and go out of their way to help in any way they can to relax and reassure me of what they are going to do and do whatever they can to minimize any pain I may feel.
An example of the little things they do is… I have a gag reflex issue especially when I have to have things put in my mouth, like the slides in I had today, so they could take X-​rays of my bite.
The assistant got another assistant to stand by the button they press to take the X-​ray, so she could quickly position everything, then she would put the material in my mouth and literally ran out the room as the other lady pressed the button to take the X-​ray, she would then run back in and quickly remove it and prep again for the next one. All the time asking me if I was ok.
You walk in and any of the staff that are there always say Hi Mark, no checking in, no board to sign, just sit down on the comfortable chairs or sofas. As other staff see you they also say Hi Mark. They don’t jump on you immediately to start talking payment/​insurance, they wait for you to ask about it if you decide on a procedure, no pressure. They are not like a factory line when you go in, they are very personal, very caring and tell you everything you need or want to know. No hard selling goes on here!
I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Dr Kim and his staff are like a highly efficient, well-​oiled machine. My teeth are clean, my mercury fillings are gone and I am on the road to excellent dental health thanks to Dr. Kim. A++

I just started seeing Dr Kim after reading reviews here on Unilocal.I was pretty sure I was going to be happy before I went the first time. All the reviews are absolutely correct. The people who work with Dr Kim are very caring and willing to work with my budget.
Dr Kim set up a plan for me to complete the work I badly need. The work will be done as I can afford it with the most important work done quickly. The first week I saw Dr Kim, I was able to have two broken teeth fixed with crowns, another crown and a bridge. I have never been to a dentist that was able to start my treatment so quickly.
I have put off going to the dentist for years because I hated the way I was treated when I went. It is nothing like that at Dr Kim’s office. I highly recommend. Thanks Dr Kim & Staff. You have a new patient that will be around for a long time.

Tried to make an appointment with this dentist as a new patient on a Friday. Office closed so left a message for a call back. By 11:00am Monday no one from Dr. Kim’s office had called so I called them only to be told that there is only one person in their office that can make appointments for new patients and she was busy. REALLLY??? When pressed further if she was serious that only one person in the office can make an appointment she confirmed yes. It is now 1:15pm Monday, no return call from Dr. Kim’s office. They must not need the business and most certainly NOT a good first impression! So I made an appointment with another dentist in Riverside with UCLA dental school credentials in one phone call to be seen the very next day!
You need to set up better office systems Dr. Kim — you’re losing business!!!

Dr. Kim is an AMAZING dentist. I live 30 miles away but make the trip out because I would’nt let anyone else work on my mouth. His staff is very kind and attentive.
As for Dr. Kim, he is the best! I used to really hate and put off going to see the dentist. Dr. Kim has really put all that behind me.
If you want someone who actually goes the extra mile to take care of you, you want Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim comes highly recommended — this is the dentist you need to see if you want to get rid of those toxic silver fillings (50% mercury), also known as amalgams.
Dr. Kim is a HOLISTIC DENTIST, and he practices SAFE MERCURY REMOVAL at a reasonable cost… I did have to pay out of pocket for this procedure (insurance did not cover much), but it was well worth the cost. I had 5 of my mercury fillings removed and my son had 3 of them removed as well. They were replaced with white, composite fillings for my son, and white fillings/​partial crowns for me.
It can be difficult to find a holistic dentist that will actually practice safe mercury removal, while keeping high standards for patient care, as the vapors released from the mercury can be extremely toxic if inhaled during the procedure.
Why did I even allow mercury fillings to be placed in my mouth and in my son’s mouth in the first place? Good question! I didn’t know any better years ago!
Dr. Kim was very patient with my 8 year-​old boy and knew how to put him at ease (a very difficult task indeed). Dr. Kim has a soft hand at placing local anesthesia… I couldn’t believe how he got my son to sit still while placing two huge syringes in his mouth (one on each side). My son would NEVER EVER sit still for an injection before (he would always put up a fight, w/​me having to pin him down in the end), so this was like one of those A-​HA moments for me. I also had 2 injections to numb my mouth in order to have my mercury fillings removed and replaced, and I did not feel a thing myself.
I had 3 partial crowns placed after my fillings were removed… they form the actual crown while you wait, so you get to leave with your permanent crown already in place!
Dr. Kim’s practice is more on the cutting edge of dentistry, including laser surgery for gum treatment — gingivitis/​periodontal disease.
Dr. Kim’s professional staff is great! They are a nice bunch of ladies w/​polished customer service skills and a very pleasant demeanor. My son and I were treated like VIP here, unlike any other dental office we’ve ever been to.
Gemma, the hygienist who did my deep cleaning, was very gentle and effective… first time in my life I did not have to get an injection to numb my mouth for a deep cleaning… she did my deep cleaning after only placing a numbing gel around my gums! I will return for future deep cleanings here, as I cannot see myself going anywhere else after having experienced this kind of service.
Debbie, the office manager, recommended the Philips Sonicare toothbrush to manage my gingivitis, and it was probably the best purchase (investment) I have made in a long time (it was around $ 120).
All in all, I had major work done here w/​the removal of my 5 silver fillings, 3 partial crowns (molars), deep cleaning (gums), and my son’s mercury removal as well.
I’m very glad this dentist is also close to me, but I was willing to travel for the right dentist. I hasn’t been to a dentist in two years before I visited Dr. Kim. But I was really looking forward to all the visits here like never before.

My dad needed new dentures very badly. After weeks of doing research online about mini-​implant supported dentures and consulting with multiple dental offices around Inland Empire/​Orange County areas, we decided to go with Dr Kim’s office.
How I found Dr. Kim: Google search and Unilocal.The same way I found all the other offices I contacted. I also verified all licenses on the CA Board of Dentistry website. Of course, Dr Kim’s license is «clear».
Reasons Dr. Kim’s office stood out from the rest:
1. Within hours of sending an email through his website, I received a personal and friendly response from Dr. Kim inviting us in for a free consultation. All the other offices offered free consults but it took forever to get an appt or I had to call multiple times to get a response/​call back.
2. I reached Debbi (office manager/​assistant?) immediately and was able to arrange for an initial (free) consultation.
3. At the consultation, Dr Kim and Debbi spent a good 30min-​45min addressing my dad’s specific needs and answered all our gazzillion questions. We discussed all other potential options as well, not just mini-​implants. Dr. Kim and Debbi were kind, friendly, understanding and patient. During the consultation we felt no pressure to do anything.
4. This surprised me: His office was the ONLY to recommend any sort of imaging before making a real recommendation or even giving a quote of any kind. My dad does have xrays from his own dentist, but Xrays don’t show detailed enough information for accessing if there is enough gums to support implants for dentures (from what I can remember from the discussion). We went with the 3D imaging (called Cone Beam CT; $ 350) on the SAME day at a commercial lab down the street from the office. We were asked to return for another free appointment after Dr Kim reviewed the image results inorder to properly draft a plan of treatment to fit my dad’s specific needs (and my budget).
At this point, after one meeting, I already knew we were going to go with Dr. Kim’s office.
We returned to the office about one week later. Dr. Kim gave us a TYPED itemized breakdown of the plan and quote for each step/​procedure. I know, its weird that I capped «TYPED», but its because surprisingly, all the other offices hand-​scribbled their quotes (big turn off for me, on top of not taking serious time reviewing images?!). We discussed the stages/​timeline of getting the dentures completed, and I was able to get the entire procedure financed for 18months, NO interest, through Chase Health Advantage… this was done by the office, and took maybe 10 minutes!
Throughout the course of the past month and after a handful of vists, today my dad’s smile is now better than I have ever known!
The total cost of 4 mini-​implants, implant supported dentures (top & bottom) and extractions = $ 8,500.
My dad’s new smile = priceless.
I would highly recommend Dr Kim to ANYONE I know. Its too bad I work for a large medical center where my dental plan only covers dental 100% through our own network. Otherwise, I’d switch dentists in a heartbeat!

Dr. Kim is a thorough, caring, and professional dentist. He and his staff take the time to sit down and explain everything they are doing or will need to do and why without making you feel as though they are in a hurry. Dr. Kim and his staff immediately set you at ease with their warm and caring nature. I was most impressed with how thorough my first visit was with a detailed check for gum recession, tooth decay, cancer, and the usual x-​rays. Dr. Kim took the time to listen to my concerns and priorities and came up with the best plan of action based on what I had said (a dentist who listens).
I had three problem root canals from previous dentists (can you tell I’m a regular at the dentist office) that other dentists looked at and could not find a problem with, but Dr. Kim was able to identify the problem and present an affordable and reasonable solution. He works with the best lab for crowns!
The dental office is clean and sanitary. The equipment used is professional and in working order. I feel that Dr. Kim is a dentist you can trust and I recommend him to everyone I know!
