7 To 7 Smog and Auto Repair

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.
If you only need a smog check maybe this shop can manage to get you one done, but don’t count on them to send the results to the DMV. I needed more than just a simple test, I needed a complete emissions rebuild from the CARB approved headers through both catalatyc converters. It didn’t start out well, they needed to keep my vehicle for a week while they evaluated what was required. Everytime I went buy my vehicle was across the street and Mark (looks like a strung out biker) said that he’d get right on it. AFTER A week, I was given an exorbitant bill but I needed to register my vehicle. Before they started I was asked to put a $ 1000 deposit to order parts, I complied. It took 2 weeks for the parts to come in and another week to put them on. I took my vehicle and said I’d be back in a couple weeks so they could finish. I came back and was asked for another $ 500 deposit to order the remaining parts, again I complied. I called 2 weeks later to see if the parts came in and was told yes. I dropped off my vehicle and was told it would be ready in 2 days. I came by 2 days later and was told they had to order another part. Bottom line it took another week before it was ready. It passed smog but it’s obvious that I’m missing vacuum lines smog pump filter and numerous other parts.

Rip off artist… I took my car to them to find out about a check engine light. They called me a hour or two later claiming they fixed it and the cost was $ 550. I thought that seemed strange so I asked for the broke part… could show me. than I threaten to call the bural of transportation. Then the guy gave my car back and claimed he put my old parts back. Than 30 minutes later my car light came back ON. Liars!

This place used to have a real good guy behind the desk. Last year I was happy with their service. Lately, however, I’ve never made it past the rude, agressive, somewhat scary woman working the phones: I get the feeling she’s working for the competition. Mohammed, she’s turning your customers away!

I found them on Unilocal.I pulled up and they helped me out right away with my smog check. Good prices, fast service what else could I ask for. I’m not from the area but definitely recommend them. I didn’t even have to get off the car! Thank u so much

I trusted Unilocal reviews with this business, however, my own experience with this repair shop was quite bad. I needed an oil change and my front brakes replaced, pretty easy repairs. While I was there I asked if they could give me a quote to fix my heater, it was busted. Since I live pretty close to this shop they gave a ride home and picked me up, great service so far.
The service they did and the price was good. The real issue I had with them was that when I got back in my car the glove box was busted! They needed to access the heater through the glove box. I pointed this out to them, fingers where pointed and the ‘mechanic’ who actually broke it tried to deny that he broke it, I said it wasn’t that way before I brought it in, finally the manager said he would replace it for free, I said fine, let’s do it. He looked at the glove box, figured out which part he needed to match the one I had and said he would give me a call when the replacement came in, a week passed and I never received a call, so I went there to find out why, turns out the manager was ‘no longer with them’, the new manager had no idea what was going on, said he would replace it, never heard from him either.

These guys are awesome. Knew what they were doing and didn’t try to take advantage of me. If you need anything just ask for Mark. He fixed my radiator issue quick and I was back on the road.

I went in today to get a smog done on my car. And man are these guys great, Jimmy and Mark are fantastic!!! They let me know I had a little oil leak, and they were able to fix it for me in no time at all!!! I highly recommend this place and will be bringing all my car business to them!

Would of given them 5 stars 2 years ago. Stephan knew what he was doing and never ripped people off. If someone knows him I would love to know where he works at. So when he left I took my truck to jimmy for brakes and the charged me 250 but didn’t replace my caliper or anything else and I was totally ripped off… Strait up robbed and Stephan was good so the owner must of seen a honest man and fired him.

Normally I wouldn’t come here to take a shit, but they’re the only mechanics around that open before 9am, and I badly needed an oil change.
As soon as I drive into the bay, Mohammed starts prepping the car for a smog check, I hadn’t even told him what I was there for. He then tells me he can’t change my oil. Another mechanic standing behind him speaks up and says they only have synthetic. Mohammed failed to mention this for some reason.
After the oil change, my radiator reservoir starts steaming, no leaks were found, the douche bag Mohammed loosened my rad cap to fuck with me for giving him lip.

Horrible! I don’t know why this is a highly rated place. I went there because my service engine soon light went on, they said if they do a diagnosis then they would charge 75 but if I decide to get the work done then it would be 35 for the diagnosis and the repair cost. They checked the obd code and it came out to be 335 and 725, which indicates an issue with the crankshaft sensor. Then they wanted to check what is causing the problem. I asked them to go ahead. The mechanic seem to be short on knowledge because, he was checking something and was coming back to check the internet, I suppose. After a while, he came up and said I need 2 sensors for the 725 code (both camshaft and crank shaft) and all of a sudden he said the other code is 35 not 335 and said it might be the transmission module. They would fix the 725 code and if the problem persists then the transmission module might need a replacement which is around a thousand bucks. I was suspicious as they already said the code is 335 and 725 (which makes sense because these two are interrelated) but now they are saying its 35, while in original there is no such code. I just paid the 75 dollars and went to Burke’s auto repair, they checked it and said its 335 and 725 and the sensor (only the crankshaft one, not both crankshaft and camshaft as suggested by the 7 to 7 mechanic) needs a replacement. I changed the crankshaft sensor from Burke’s and the car was fine again. Kevin, the owner was saying this is a pretty common problem for Nissans, and how 7 to 7 made a complete mess of such a simple problem. If you are unsure just leave it there, don’t make faulty judgements and try to convince for costly repairs. Maybe they were good previously or they are a good smog station, but I really do not know how this place is so highly rated. I am giving it a 2 star because I changed battery and oil from here, and the service was close to reasonable in that case. Otherwise I would have given it a zero, if I could.

So a day after my car’s radiator hose broke and my coolant was spilled on my way to OC. The engine was over heated and i almost lost control of the steering wheel on the freeway due to their lack of attention when they fix my car. I almost died! They suppose to check for everything when they open the hood. When i first talk to the owner, he denied the responsibility by saying that they have nothing to do with it. After I made it clear that if they don’t come up with a proper solution I will take legal actions against them and report them to the BAR, they agreed to tow my car back to the rialto shop and to replace my engine with no charge.
After I got my car back, I took my car to the mechanic that i trust and they told me that 7to7 did not even finish the job. I was furious! Bolts on the engine frame were very loose, they did not reset the car system, and did not do an alignment after they removed the rack and pinion (to replace the engine), etc… luckily, my mechanics did not charge me to finished «their» jobs. seriously, they do not deserve to be called as mechanics. I would call them «MALCHANICS» since all they do is DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLES.
I don’t understand how this place has a 4.5 star, they are probably rated by family member, friend or people they paid to write good reviews. But i am a real customer and it was definitely the worst experience ever!

These guys are super cool. I’ve taken my Sentra in twice for smog tests. The first time they were busy and the mechanic mentioned that the Mexican restaurant next door was bomb. It was. He seemed so chill that I showed him a $ 900 quote for the work my car «needed» from another place to get a second opinion. He just laughed and told me that my car was fine and that as long as I kept it maintained it should stay fine for at least 10 more years. 2 years later, with no car problems, I returned for another smog test and it took all of maybe 10 minutes. They seem honest, and that goes along way in this field.

Ok, so I took my car to these guys and they said my timing belt broke and I needed a new one. They charged $ 350. They also said that a valve might have been damaged in the process and that they would have to remove the head to replace the valve and that would be $ 1200.They said that If I continue to drive the car it will misfire and my car is basically running on 3 cylinders. I took it to my mechanic and he said I blew a spark plug when the timing belt broke. $ 160.
I don’t see why they are so highly rated. I felt like they were trying to get one over on me and I was right.

My brother and mother have taken their work truck and suv here to this place. I have nothing but great things to say about 7 to 7. Friendly staff and the call to keep you posted on everything. If my car wasn’t under warranty I would for sure take it here.

Came here for a Smog check. First round didn’t pass due to my battery having been disconnected recently. Told me what to do and didn’t charge me for the test. Drove it a bit and came back and passed. Great service, awesome close to home location. Will come here again.

My friend recommended this place to me. I came here on a Monday (I think) a few weeks ago, in the early afternoon to get my car checked because it was making weird screeching noises. The guy who helped talk me through the issues of my car and how I needed to replace my brake pads and a few other parts. He explained the charges and the bill, gave me a discount too, which was extremely nice of him. The guy said my car would be fixed in an hour, so my friends came to pick me up to grab some lunch and when we got back an hour later, my car was already finished and waiting for pick up. Their timing was on the dot and I’d definitely continue the recommendations to others.

As good as it gets! Went here today after my car suddenly stopped starting up, it wasn’t my battery so I went in and got it diagnosed. This is one of the best places in Riverside to get your car fixed! Jimmy is a real bro and deserves this 5 star review. I was panicking and looking for places to get my car fixed, and stumbled upon this one which had the most 5 star reviews and was closest to my school. He fixed my car within an hour and charged me only $ 100 bucks. 100% honest business and people, they could have charged me for a bunch of random stuff which I didn’t need, but he knew I was tight on money being in college and all.
Definitely going to take my car here for any repairs/​smog whenever I’m in Riverside no doubt about it. Jimmy saved my life today I wouldn’t have known what else to do if I didn’t take my car to his shop.

There is a reason this place is the highest rated place for a smog check. Seriously, they’re really cool and give you a decent price without trying to upsell you anything else. 100% honest guys.
If your car needs a smog check, this is the only place to go.

To be honest, when I pulled up to 7 to 7 this afternoon I had to wonder why it was the best and most reviewed place on Unilocal in the Riverside/​Moreno Valley area. It looked like any other small auto shop to me. I hoped I hadn’t made the wrong choice going there.
I didn’t.
I had a check engine light on for my EGR valve and I got an honest estimate up front. They also were kind enough to check my battery and alternator for me because I mentioned I’d had trouble starting my car this morning.
Since I had no ride and it was such a small shop, I’d planned on walking down the street to wait at Baker’s but I’m glad I stuck around and waited at the shop. All the guys were friendly and they let me hang out in the office with the AC on while they ordered the necessary part and swapped it out. They even got me a drink when some of the guys went to get lunch!
Super nice staff, decent price, and efficient and honest work. I’d happily come back here again.

This place is pretty amazing. I went to get my a/​c fixed because of the Riverside heat was killer. My dad had previously got the a/​c done and spent hundreds of dollars only for it to still not be working. So I was expecting this job to be a couple hundred.
So first of all its pretty small and was sort of awkward getting their attention. But I just went up to them and asked and just had to wait for about ten mins for them to get started.
First they thought it was my a/​c compressor and they gave me a price and then some sort of fee to diagnose what was going on. So I’m just thinking that my estimate was spot on and was a bit sad that car troubles are so expensive!
Well they kept me informed the whole way through and found out it was the relay and let me know they were out getting parts. Still had that estimate in my head…
Once they got everything finished they took me to my car and showed me the a/​c works and the light is no longer blinking. Hurray!
So I go inside to pay thinking it would be expensive and nope was only ~ $ 100. Not bad for an a/​c job.
BTW I AM NOT FAMILY/​FRIENDS OF THE OWNERS. I JUST CAME ACROSS THIS PLACE THROUGH MY FELLOW UnilocalERS!
