Specialties
Tweeds specializes in Bison. Bison meat is inherently lean and our chefs expertly cook bison rare to medium rare, preserving the robust flavor without any greasy aftermath.
History
Established in 1896.
Tweeds Restaurant and Buffalo Bar in the historic JJ Sullivan Hotel serves the finest of local food specialties and wines representing the best of Long Island. Tweeds combines true local flavor with sophisticated cuisine in an atmosphere of comfort, warmth and welcoming familiarity. It is believed to be the oldest continuing restaurant, bar and hotel on the east end. The mahogany and marble bar originally constructed for the 1893 World Exposition in Chicago still stands today and serves the finest wines, beers and rare spirits including the full array of Pappy Van Winkles.
