Food was great!!! The appetizer I had was shrimp, clams and oysters —-some the best clams and oysters ever! We all had fish entrees… One had a Broiled platter, 2 of us had grouper dishes, the other had the Mako shark —- out of this world and FRESH! One person had shrimp parm over spaghetti and wanted to lick the dish! The other guest had surf and turf special(New York strip and shrimp) they couldn’t stop raving and impressed with the steak how it was like butter! Highly recommended and would most certainly go again. The service was great and the chef came out checking on everyone as well! Hopefully can come back soon!

This was my first time here and it was a wonderful experience. I had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, which was outstanding. The blackened fish sandwich was also delicious. For dessert, I had the homemade ice cream crêpe. Again, superb! An all around perfect birthday lunch! Will definitely be coming back.

The spicy wings are so finger-licious! It’s sweet salty spicy and sour all together yet stands alone from each other at the same time. The cheese burger is very juicy n fresh. The fried fish filet and waffle fries also are also done just right. No more no less. Eating at the restaurant totally made up for our disappointed peach pick up trip to Levin farm. Thumbs up for wings! Best taste n best value on the menu. Fried combo is OK not great. A bit over priced too. But steak burger scored today along with the wings and linguini.

The atmosphere was cool. Very«warfy». The service was awesome. Staff was great and very quick. The food was«good» I got the feeling a lot of it came out of a Sysco truck. But we got large portions and the food was prepare well. The soups were hot and the local beer was ice cold. Cool spot to hang out. Just don’t go for the homemade food«vibe». But absolutely nothing wrong with it. We’d return.

Fran and Lynn were awesome! We had several items but the CLAMCHOWDER was excellent! Had a bit of a smoky flavor from the bacon and was out of this world. Being new to the New England area/tourists they were so helpful. Helped us look up fun things to do and pointed us in the right! Thanks for the hospitality ladies! Beware: they charge for every fountain/soft drink. No free refills. Where I’m from every restaurant offers free refills on soft drinks. They do not. No biggie but wasn’t aware up front.

The cocoanut shrimp and baked clams were the best I have ever had. Even though the place is a little divey the food does not dissapoint. The beer selection could be better though.

After going to the aquarium, I had lunch here and it was great! It was a little windy so we opted to sit inside rather than use the outside seating area. It wasn’t packed, and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. We started off with the clams rockafeller and ½ a dozen blueprint oysters. They were nice and fresh. For a few extra bucks I swapped my salad out for a cup of seafood bisque soup. I have to say it was the perfect thing to get since it was a bit cold out. It had nice chunks of assorted seafood in it, and it was so warm and delicious. I chose to have the rigatoni a la vodka with shrimp as my main course. By the time I got to my main entrée I was pretty full. The portion was a nice decent size for the price and it was creamy and delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Thank you!

After spending the morning admiring fish and other marine creatures, it really put me in the mood to savor some seafood, HAH! So we popped next door to this spot, which had decent ratings on Unilocal. We shared an order of crab cakes. Can’t go wrong with this classic appetizer, and this one was fine. I really wanted a seafood combo, but was told they don’t have broiled versions for lunch, only fried. My husband ordered the fried seafood combo, which came with shrimp, scallops, clam strips, shrimp, cod, and fries. It tasted decent, but the seasoning and breading wasn’t flavorful enough. The seafood was probably just dipped in batter and fried, and hubs said the whole thing was too heavy a meal. I agree, since I ate half his plate =X I ordered grilled mako shark over linguini, because I wanted to try shark meat. The dish came as a fillet over a bed of linguini. I’m not sure if it was the taste and texture of the shark itself or the way it was prepared, but I didn’t care for it. The pasta, which was dressed in a garlic-tomato sauce, was too oily. This spot has great reviews, but I probably would have been better off coming for dinner, because none of the stuff people raved about was available at 2pm. I was surprised they don’t have broiled or baked fish fillets on the lunch menu. It was all fried combos and breaded seafood in wraps. Not a lot of options if you’re trying to watch what you eat. It’s a shame, because one reason people love seafood is for its health benefits. The waterfront view was nice, but the food wasn’t.

Nice waterfront seafood restaurant next to the Aquarium. The parking lot is small so we parked across the street in the municipal parking lot and walked to the restaurant. As we passed the aquarium we stopped by and said hello to the seals lounging in the outdoor pool. At the restaurant the staff greeted us and promptly sat us outside. They have a small indoor space and a covered space about the size of the indoor restaurant. On the perimeter of the covered space they have tables for 2. We sat on the perimeter seating overlooking the parking lot but you do have a nice view of the Marina and Peconic river. Service was efficient. We had a show to see at the Rivehead Theater so we needed quick service but you could stay longer if you prefer, they do not rush you out. I had the seafood combo which included shrimp, scallops, grouper and a baked clam. Other than the scallops the meal was very good. The scallops were small and a bit dry but not terrible. The sauce was buttery and a bit much but the rice was excellent and so was the mixed vegetables. Prices are reasonable. Overall it was a nice restaurant to visit on a summer day and I will return.

This place has some of the best seafood I have had in months. Service is excellent. The executive chef came out to ask how the food was — you don’t see that so much anymore. Found this restaurant on Unilocal when in Riverhead for work. I started with local steamers. They were delicious. I have many times gone to the beach myself to dig clans and then steamed them/eaten immediately. These were that good. Unusual for a restaurant. Yes, there was some sand, but there is supposed to be some sand in fresh legit steamers like these. Then I had the swordfish special. It was perfectly cooked and obviously fresh. I wish I had been able to try the raw local clams here, but there is only so much I can eat. I am eating here every time I’m in Riverhead.

I have been so excited to come here. Occasionally, i drive out to Long Island with my boyfriend to go to the outlets, visit the water, some farms. The evening I came in for dinner, it was my birthday. I wanted a small intimate dinner with my significant other overlooking the water. YESTHEWATER! YOUCANNOTSEETHEWATERBECAUSEOFTHEBUSHES. ITS A PARKINGLOT. I should have just sat inside. First off, I have to say, the staff was extremely kind. They were very busy, but made it a point to apologize when we had to wait an hour for our main course. Yes, one hour!!! Not to mention, it was getting late, and we had a two hour drive home. Other guests came after us, and we were given their entrees way before us. When you are waiting such a long time, ONYOURBIRTHDAY this is infuriating. When I finally said something about our entrees, they brought my dinner out first before my boyfriends. I thought that was terrible restaurant etiquette. Also, our meal was so simple to make. I ordered the salmon, and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp scampi. Our entrees should have been brought out together, in a timely fashion. My entrée was cold. INADDITION, our waitress brought mine first, and I didn’t have ANYUTENSILS. I had a 1 blue point beer and my boyfriend had 1 coke(he was driving). I wanted to order the Mango Mermaid beverage but I was just so upset with my experience. We didn’t even think about ordering dessert. No happy birthday. Nothing. You would think that they would have taken off the beverages from our bill. No, they did not. The bathroom stall that i went into didn’t have toilet paper. Decided to be a «big child» and go to the vending machine to have a «grow a sea creature» what did I get? A dinosaur. The food wasn’t horrible, but not THEBEST. I desperately wanted to like this place.

My LI trip with my new CEO continued to Riverhead and I was once again tasked with finding a spot for dinner. I choose Jerry & the Mermaid because they had a really great looking photo of Ahi Tuna on the website. I’m a sucker for Ahi Tuna so we headed over. There were a few parking spots in front of the restaurant but they had an hour max limit. So now I’m feeling pressured to get our dinner over in an hour or get towed. We opted to sit on the back deck. Since it was still chilly, they covered the deck with plastic. You have a decent view of the harbor but all the boats in storage for the season blocked it on my visit. My boss and I both ordered the Ahi Tuna. The website shows the tuna cut in to medallions but when it was served it was more a tuna steak. Just one big piece of tuna. Not a problem. Just not how I usually eat ahi tuna. It was pretty good though. The vegetables that came with the tuna seemed like an afterthought, like they weren’t sure what to serve with the tuna so they just some random vegetables on the plate. Our salads were served on plastic plates and the tables on the deck were pretty chintzy. I can see this place being better during the warmer months. Grab a bit to eat and a drink, watch the boats. During April, they’re not«full go» so you’re left with a less than full impression of the place.

This restaurant is right next door to the aquarium, and one of the workers there recommended this place so my friend and I decided to try it out. The bread that was served as an appetizer was soo good — warm and buttery, served with more packets of butter. The fried combo was good as well. I ordered the nut crusted grouper, and I enjoyed it. The owner continuously checked up on us; he was very friendly and kind. Our waiter was nice as well; he was knowledgable about the menu and patient to explain specific menu items.
