The most amazing lamb you have ever tasted. They run out of the lamb early so if you are getting there after dark, it may be gone. It is reminiscent of a Caribbean spot and they have cocoa bread and banana and root potato. It’s a nice little spot with great people working it. This is an African establishment so don’t expect anything quick or fancy, just good and wholesome.

So I found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it for lunch. That was the best brown stew chicken I’ve had since moving to Ga. The rice and beans had that slight hint of coconut flavor that let me know somebody knows what they are doing in that kitchen. Take it from a New Yorker. the best so far. I would have given 5 stars but I want to taste the roti first.

Tried it for the first time today and the Jerk chicken is AWESOME! Has an extra kick to it and goes great with the rice and plantains. Veggies were a little bland but other than that it was great! Great customer service. I’ll DEFINITELY be back. Great beef patties as well :)

This is NOT an Indian restaurant as Unilocal has it, it is caribbean and one of the best ones I’ve ever been to. DONOT think of coming here if you’re in a hurry as you will be sorely disappointed. The food is very good and authentic but it isn’t fast food and it isn’t prepared ahead of time. When the food comes out, it’s very hot as it has just finished cooking. If you want authentic jerk chicken or ox tails or brown chicken stew, this is the place to get it if you have time to wait. You won’t be disappointed in the quality or quantity of the food.

Two words to describe their food: delicious and authentic. Flavored perfectly and everything you could expect from an authentic caribbean restaurant. Be prepared for the wait tho. Usually the one lady in the front disappears to the back for a good ten to twenty minutes once you order and you will be in the front alone. I wish they would have someone to stay in the front to take new orders for ppl coming in. Its kinda awkward watching customers come in after you and the look of confusion on their face as to who is supposed to take their order. Other than that this is definitely my go to for caribbean cuisine. Ox tails yum.

The wait is long that is the only reason I didn’t rate it at 5 stars. Please give your taste buds the experience of eating here. I highly recommend the codfish roti.

I had a beef roti and it was okay. It was large, filling up an entire dinner sized styrofoam container! I asked for plenty pepper but it tasted more like slight pepper :(. I also got a side of plantains, those were great. My friend ordered pholourie but it was tough and chewy, not really edible at all. Im guessing they were reheated… so not ok! We also had intentions of eating there but our order came out completely packed up so we took it to go. Overall not inviting for dinning in, but a large amount of food for the price.

Three times now I’ve attempted to give this eatery my business. All three times I’ve gotten there from STONEMOUNTAIN during their«business» hours and found the location closed. After my first attempt I called to confirm the hours of operation satisfied that this was a one time occurrence I tried twice more. Sadly I cannot report on the food though it was highly recommended and from the other reviewers satisfying; wasting my gas and being unreliable is enough to garner this poor rating.

This place is great if you dont mind the wait. They never answer there phone to place orders. I waited almost 30 mins to get my food, even though l called several times before l came.

This place has the best goat roti that I’ve eaten. Each time I’m in the area, it is a must for me to stop by and get it.

This place is great. From the friend staff to the big portions that they give. Great food hands down.

My mom told me about this place. We love Roti and this place is close to her home. The first thing I noticed was the trash strewn about in front the store. I wondered then if I want to eat at a place that does not sweep up right out front. Knowing that a hole in the wall can be some good eating I went in. Upon entering I walked up to a young lady at the counter who engaged me in a staring contest. She won, I eventually greeted her and asked about lunch specials and what was good on the menu. She of little patience informed me they don’t have specials. I guess all the air she sucked in before she answered my question was for her benefit because she didn’t appear to be in the mood to engage in conversation with a customer. I ordered a chicken roti; they can make them without bones and I got an eyeroll for asking(yay!). I ordered mine with the bones to save them anymore inconvenience; I got the feeling I was being bothersome at this point. It took a while to get the food; I was able to go get gas, a happy meal for the youngin and some cold drinks and still returned with time to spare. The roti was tasty and a little spicy but that is not a terrible thing. What was terrible was the feathered chicken skin in my roti. That little skin covered gristle at the end of the chicken bone had quite a few feathers on it. I was so grossed out I couldn’t finish. I also have to add they have an 80 health rating, it was on the sign lying down on the table next to the register, not all the way out of sight but I’m sure they didn’t have it up for that reason. If the business is not one that cares to talk to customers then I can imagine how they feel about the food they serve them.

One of the best island restaurant on the south side of Atlanta. The staff is very nice and the food is to die for.
