Cassidy Tire

My wife and I have brought our cars here several times in the last year or two and have been treated well each time. The staff is friendly and professional. They respected our time and worked hard to get the job done on time. A few times it has been an easy fix like patching up a tire after a run-​in with a nail but when my wife’s car was side-​swiped and suffered axle damage they were able to provide the necessary repairs, special order her a new tire and get the car back in service on time. We had had a few negative experiences with another tire shop so we are glad to have found a local place we can trust and that offers solid service at a good price.

I don’t write a ton of reviews, but when I’m impressed I like to spread the word. Especially when they knock the socks off their peer group. In this case I called several tire service locations and selected the one where I felt like I was given a fair quote without a lot of qualifying questions. They seemed eager for the business and appreciative that I called. It didn’t stop there. The work I needed took less than :45, and during that time I got to watch them interact with half dozen customers. In each case they were professional, courteous and genuinely helpful and patient. They may not have as extensive an inventory, or they may not have your brand, but they may be able to order it for you. I will certainly be a return customer and would whole heartedly recommend Cassidy Tire in River Forest.

I stumbled upon Cassidy Tire in River Forest after I could no longer stand constantly filling up my slow leaking tire. They were fantastic from the moment I first called them. Even though they were getting ready to close in about 30 minutes, they encouraged me to still come on in so they could take a look at my tire. I don’t know of any other service place that would have done that and it is not like they weren’t busy! When I pulled up they had all the bays filled, but still more than happy to look at my tire, no tech even batted an eye that I was there so close to quitting time. Dennis the manager knows customer service and was very professional. Unfortunately they could not fix my tire right then and there, no fault to them, just simply the type of tire I had, but Dennis ordered my replacement first thing monday and it was in the very same day! I have been to many tire and service stations, including dealers, but none have been as friendly, professional and accommodating as Dennis and his team at Cassidy. I highly recommend them and will be going back for sure if the need arises!

I’ve been coming to Cassidy for many years and have always had professional and friendly service. I feel they are honest which is saying a lot for a «garage» business. Dennis (front desk) is always friendly and accommodating, I’d never do a road trip without stopping here first for a pre-​road check up. They have replaced my brakes and I’ve purchased tires too and never felt taken advantage of. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Hyundai, without diagnosing or evaluating my car wanted $ 1000 and 5 days to fix my car.
Dennis at Cassidy looked at it, figured out the problem, had one of the guys tighten something, and refilled my wiper fluid. For free. In about 15 minutes.
When he told me what the problem was and that he needed a few minutes to fix it I was so happy I had to walk around the block a few times giggling. And call the dealership to cancel my unnecessary and expensive appointment, which was, as I stated, FIVE DAYS FROM NOW.
Cassidy rocks. They’ve always been polite, efficient, and reasonably priced. And honest. If they cannot fix something they’ll send you to someone who can competently fix it.
Go there. Seriously.

This place is top notch. The guy at the desk was very nice and friendly. Upon driving my car on the lift the guy noticed something loose in the steering system he informed me and then tightened it up. I was in because I had two tires leaking air they quickly found the cause, informed me and then repaired them. I like how they explain exactly what they are doing its very professional. Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

Every time I come to Cassidy the service is good and professional. Dennis, at the front desk, is extremely nice and truthful about service that is needed (or not needed). This is one of the few places that runs an honest garage around Chicago. They are always busy but also always accomodating… a sign of a trusted business in the community.

super nice guys! my mom has been goin 2 them 4 years & she says that denise treats her well & doesn’t try 2 take advantage of her jus cuz she’s a woman. i went there 2 get my flat tires fixed & then got 2 new tires from them. he gave me a deal and great customer service! thanks!

Fixed my flat tire soo fast and they are all soo nice :)

I was very disappointed with this location. I came here one day because my tire was flat. I was told that a plug would not work to fix the flat so I needed a new tire. At first I said ok and had them order the tire. Then I spoke with my husband who told me to go to an auto body shop in schiller park because they would plug it for $ 10. I went to the auto body shop and they plugged it for $ 10. I was annoyed that Cassidy lied and said I needed a whole new tire when clearly I did not. I think they were taking advantage of me because I am a young female and look like I didn’t know any better. Very upsetting. I will never come back.

Helpful and quick!

After a tire mishap in Michigan which included the purchase of four new tires and a need to have the alignment fixed on Freddie (a 2007 Subaru Forester), I ended up at Cassidy Tires on North Avenue in River Forest.
Unfortunately, I chose a perfectly stormy day to have the car fixed and had planned to walk or take the bus to work after dropping my car off, but it was no problem because to my delight a friendly Cassidy’s employee drove me to my office and offered to pick me up when the alignment was complete.
Cassidy’s did a quick and excellent job on the car and the pricing for an all wheel drive /​four wheel alignment was really reasonably priced. Next time I have any wheel issues I am headed back to Cassidy’s — thanks guys!

You have to try to get a bad review from me. I try to stay positive and look for the best in people’s efforts, but I can’t this time. I have used Cassidy Tire a few times in the past both on Canal Street and in River Forest. In fact, I have had two flats on two different cars in the past week and brought it here both times. Both times they showed me why they need 2 stars. After the first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but not this time. I brought my sports car in there a week ago and they tried to put a tire on my car that was a brand mismatch. Maybe they didn’t think I’d notice or care? Yea, ok. No communication from them that I’d be getting a different brand tire or even the fact that it came in after they ordered it. I had to call them back to see. After I went out to my car I noticed it was a different brand. So… I had to come back 4-​days later and have it put on after they ordered another one. Then, my wife’s car got a flat this past weekend and I brought it here because I didn’t want to go to Sears or another spot in a shady neighborhood so I went back reluctantly. My wife had to handle it this time. They made her wait for over 30-​minutes while she had my 2-​year old and there was nobody other cars in the shop to see if they had her brand tire. After no, she left and they said they’d call back later that day. Never called back. I had to call today to see if the tire was in. Surprise, it was there. So, my wife went back and told them she only had 30-​minutes because she had to get our girl at school. They said no problem. 50-​minutes later to put 1-​tire back on the car and she was very near late. And after asking for them to put the spare back up underneath the car. They couldn’t figure it out. 2 things to say about that. 1. Isn’t this your job? Shouldn’t you know how to put a spare back up underneath a car? 2. Okay, you don’t know how but you do know how to read, right? That is what the manual is for and I will have to read it to put the tire back, why couldn’t you?
So, if you have a tire need and can go somewhere else, do it.

For too many years I put up with the long waits and the shoddy customer service at the Sears Automotive center, not knowing that just across North Avenue was Tire Nirvana. The staff at Cassidy Tire is quick, professional, and respectful. Since it’s pothole season, I’m sure I’ll be going back there soon.
