The Cool Screen Guys

Did a good job once but when later hired to do a separate job didn’t show up or bother to call, made me wait all day and didn’t answer or return my phone calls that day :(

Nice guys but if you want the job done or phone calls returned, call a company that will actually show up. Tired of waiting for them to fix screens they had done a year ago, so will go somewhere else after waiting 10 days for them to show up! :(

I called them on Thursday (son Zac and dad Curt) and made an appointment for Monday. They were on time as promised and they got the job done in less than an hour. A little pricey but I called around and it seems to be the going price for this kind of work. I had a sliding screen door and a window screen made. Nice guys too. My only complaint is that the receipt doesn’t have my correct address on it and I’m not sure if the work is warranted or not because it wasn’t mentioned at all. I didn’t ask either but I shouldn’t have to.

A friend referred me to these guys after I saw her new screen door. If I would have looked them up on Unilocal I would have passed them over. Good thing I didn’t! My experience was great. Called them this morning and they came out today and replaced my torn screen with a pet screen. It looks awesome and is much more durable. I am so excited to have a useable screen door again. I also like how it darkens the room. The owner and his son were both very friendly and professional. It took them less than 20 minutes to fix my door and I felt the price was reasonable. I could not be happier. It is too bad that more happy customers are not leaving them reviews. I feel like Unilocal is misrepresenting them. I give them an A++++!!

We were really disappointed. They communicated before the sale, the screens are perfect and they were very courteous but the dog door was too small. Since they saw my dogs I assumed they would order the right size but they delivered and installed one much too small for my dog and have promised for 3 months now, to come out and fix it. I want to support small businesses but really wish they would fix the issue. Would NOT recommend them.

Called to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Gave a very vague day that they will call back the next week to schedule the appointment. Called me back the following week but wanted to give the estimate within the hour. I wasn’t able to get home within the hour. Said that they would call me back. That never happened. I called to give them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. They came out this time for the estimate. I agreed to the estimate and we scheduled the date and time for the repair. On the day of the repair they were a NO CALL NO SHOW. I called 2 hours after they were supposed to be here and the guy asked where I was located and what were the repairs that they were supposed to do. He quickly said he’ll find out and call me back. Never called me back. I don’t recommend them.

Not just poor service… no service at all. Called and set up an appointment to fix my screens. Didn’t show up or call to say he wasn’t coming. Finally got him to answer his cell phone, he explained a family emergency, I said I understand. He said he would call the next week. No call. I called to follow up, no call back. If you can’t do the job, or don’t want to do the job, just say so.
Save your time with the Cool Screen Guys and go somewhere else.

The Cool Screen Guys are 100% professional. They came today expecting to do a simple job and I gave them a very complicated request that involved screening large screens with a new type of material, Pollentec, that is not easy to work with. They stuck around until they got it right and did not charge me extra for the additional time invested in the project. These guys are cool and highly recommended. Their trailer is clean, organized, and shows the great pride they take in their work. They are a father /​son team and should be on the top of your list for any screening repair/​installation needs in Nor Cal (they’re mobile so they can get to anywhere with enough heads up.)
