History
Established in 1965.
Spring Creek Golf & Country Club was conceived in the 1964⁄65 years by a group of individuals who wanted a recreation/golf course of their own.
Spring Creek was organized and incorporated on July 14, 1965. It took more than a year before the golf course was designed, developed, constructed and ready for play. The original course was nine holes. The first day of play was a cold, rainy December 6, 1966. For more than two years a group of local residents numbering around 200 had been meeting, planning and working toward the goal of a nine hole golf course and clubhouse. Under the guidance and direction of the first elected Board of Directors, the club was formed, incorporated, finances raised and loans arranged. Land was purchased, architects hired and contractors agreed upon. Shortly after course construction was started, a clubhouse, a maintenance shed and swimming pool were built, and personnel hired.
