I did some research on places that specialize in Bonsai trees so I could get one for my fiancé. Not only was the staff extremely friendly and helpful, but extremely knowledgable. We were able to get some great information and resources on how to prune, repot and wire properly. And walked out feeling confident about our next steps. They offer classes too!!! They also said we could come back with the plant for assistance at any time or call/email and they would do what they could to help with whatever we needed. I would definitely 110% recommend this place. Fantastic experience!!!

This place is incredible BUT! What shocked me was how reasonably priced everything was. I live an hour away, and had done most of my bonsai shopping online. So I assumed such a niche hobby center would command high prices, but their prices were cheaper than what I’d seen online. I will be back many times and as frequently as possible. I’m glad these guys are around.

Let’s talk about«Happy Little Trees» Oh Bob Ross =) Whether you have a green thumb or are just interested in appreciating the art of bonsai then All Shapes Bonsai is worth venturing off to. It’s the only bonsai farm in New Jersey. Nestled on a quiet dirt road, there is no sign, look out for the mail box when the GPS shows you’ve arrived. The owner of 30 years, Dave is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He can guide you through the row after row of beautifully aged bonsai on display. Many over 50 even 100 years old. Prices vary based on age. The younger bonsai are divided in green houses by tropical species(suitable for indoor) and outdoor species. He takes you through the different species, wiring, trimming, pruning, and maintenance. Basically everything needed to encourage the tree growth in the way you envision it. Not for the faint of heart as their growth is a very slow process and they require specific attention. It’s a scenic environment, the freshest air, and hours pass you by as you take your time appreciating the beauty of all the miniature trees. Its a nice place to visit and you’ll love the koi pond.
