Rusty Pig BBQ

Was stopped at the Georgia welcome center and trying to figure out what to do for lunch when the Rusty Pig showed up in my Unilocal search. Being a barbecue afficionado, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to «flavor» our trip to Florida with some ribs.
I had the rib plate with Fried Okra on the side, my fiancé had pulled pork with fries, and we split an order of fried pickles. Everything was excellent. We were also really impressed by all the different varieties of tea available at the drink station. This is the kind of place that makes me wish I lived in the South, where good barbecue is more plentiful. If I was spending any time in town, I’d definitely have gone back, and I highly recommend the Rusty Pig as a great diversion from the interstate and typical fast food you find off an interstate exit.

Awesome Sauce, really this place has awesome sauce. The food is really good as well. I highly recommend it. We have always eaten the pulled pork, next time going to try something different.

Just had the Ribs… Delicious! Brunswick stew was great as well. … definitely worth a try

Everything was almost perfect at this barbecue location. The only thing I noted on my visit was the pork was a bit dry.
This could very well have been the time of day of my visit and the fact it was dry outside. The rest of the meats sampled were perfect. Price is very reasonable too.
If I was on the interstate headed north or south I would make this a lunch stop on the way.
All sampled sides were great and ample.

Good BBQ. Decent prices. We usually try to stop by when headed to or from Savannah.

This is a great BBQ place in Rincon, Ga run by Christian family. The Smoked chicken and wrap are great choices as well as the kids meal chicken fingers. Clean, friendly staff

Of all the barbecue places in the Western Savannah metro area this is the place to come. The pulled pork and ribs are good but when you come here you got to get the chicken. It’s cooked to perfection with a nice smoke ring underneath the skin. They offered two sauces which are very good that are mustard-​based. We’ve only been here for about six months but haven’t found a barbecue place I can beat it.

Good food, reasonable prices. Ribs are excellent as are the mashed potatoes, Mac –n– cheese, sweet tea, and green beans. Clean restaurant and most importantly, smells like a BBQ shack should!

I like the brisket. The only complaint I have is that the food is to cold. It never comes out hot.
