History

Established in 2004.

It was originally Nease Shipping. New owners bought it back in 2004 and changed the name to «Rincon Packaging and Shipping». My daughter and I purchased the business in November 2010 (We just celebrated our first year). I had never owned a retail business before but my Mom always said I could sell ice to eskimoes. My daughter got her customer service skills honestly and together we make a dynamite team. Just ask any of our regular customers. The post office is located not 1000 feet from us but people would rather pay more just to be able to deal with us and not them. Says a lot about us I think.

We had a rough start but when a major competitor closed their doors, we acquired their customers and business just took off. We were located on LIsa Street but we soon found the place rather tight on space, so we relocated to Northridge Street the end of October of this year, 2011.

Our mission statement is to provide top quality customer service, It’s what makes or breaks a business.

Meet the Business Owner

Phyllis G.

Business Owner

I was in the banking industry for over 17 years. Got out and went to work for a major land developer. when the real estate bubble burst in 2008 I found myself without a job. I took up painting pictures and then wrote and published a romance novel in 2010. Rincon Packaging and Shipping was owned by a customer of my husband (he owns Beacon Security Services). She decided to close shop and they started talking. Next thing I knew, I bought a business. I made the decision to bring my daughter, Roxy, in as a partner. She’s an artist and has sold several of her paintings at the store. She also has taken on some commissions as well. We look forward to serving the Effingham Community for many years to come, at least until I retire. After that, I plan on handing the reigns over to Roxy.
