Secret Studio Store specialized in contemporary functional gifts for all ages. You could spend an hour or 2 just browsing through the clever and unusual merchandise and probably will leave with a few interesting items for yourself as well as the person you were shopping for.

Secret Studio also has a D.I.Y. (do-​it-​yourself) café where you can pick a craft or project from the menu and create it in the shop with or without help. You can also participate in special theme events, secret sales and Clubs that meet at the shop. Currently a Doctor Who Club and The Virtual Pen Society (a creative Writing club) meet monthly.

You can also get help finding or creating theme Party Favors, group creative projects for kids and/​or adults and charity/​fundraiser events.

You will also find Catzias Collectibles here. An Animé collectibles shop specialising in Cosplay accessories for Sailor Moon, Wonder Woman and custom characters. Costume Shoes, Accessories and Tiaras.

History

Established in 2009.

After closing the walk in shop for Catzias Collectibles in 2004 after 6 years in Midland Parks Brown Stone Mill Antique Center and going on-​line only to start a family, owner Dianne Goldman decide it was time to get back out into the real world in 2010. She found a little underground shop in Ridgewood and started developing a new kind of shop for the area. The idea was to have gifts that were not only usefull but designed well. With the success of this concept the shop quickly out grew it’s space and moved to ground level in much large space on the same street. Having a much larger space allowed the shop to add much more varity of merchandise and the D.I.Y. café for customers to come in any time and choose a project off the menu.

Business Owner

Dianne Goldman started selling things she made at age 11. Trained in art, jewelry design and creative writing at an early age she quickly learned that anything you can imagine is possible. She worked as a professional freelance illustrator and cartoonist for various magazines and publications and also did work for Macy’s and New Line Cinema. Besides painting and illustrating and starting The Virtual Pen Society for creative writers, she had her first business expierance starting a theme gift basket company called The Box Turtle in which she taught herself the ins and outs of retail business and perfected customer service.

Later her hobbie of collecting from animé and other collectibles lead her to open Catzia’s Collectibles, an animé shop marketed towards females as there were few female friendly shops of that type in existance. This led to the creation of a line of Sailor Moon and Wonder Woman inspired costume items which gave her the freedom to create Secret Studio Store.
