A piece of shit of a cab sèrvice the worst in NYC i do not recommend this to anyone worst experience. Dont even deserve a star but i had to put it for to write this review.

Here’s my gripe with Fenix. The dispatcher will tell u 5 mins no matter what time it is. I’m currently still waiting for a cab it’s over 20 mins!!! I’m now late to work and pissed off. Why tell me 5 mins when your going to take THAT long. No wonder cab companies are suffering due to über. Never again!

So I take this cab almost every single day to work. Today I called to get a ride home from a friends house to mine, the dispatcher said ok. I get a call to come outside and I go out. There is no cab so I called the driver up and he was sent to my drop off address instead of the pick up I asked him if he can still get me at my real pick up address and he told me to call the base. I called back and the lady dispatcher answered I told her what happen and she said she’ll have a cab to me in 10. That was 12:46 I waited until 1:15 to call fenix back she answered the phone and then put the other male dispatcher on. He answered by what’s going on? What do u mean what’s going on I been waiting for a cab for a long time he claims they have been calling me many times… Even though I’ve been sitting down outside while on my phone to kill time. They said another 4 min and then the driver called and told me 10 min. To add on top of that the driver tried to charge more than what I was told I made him call the base, today was by far the worst. I’ve never had an issue with them but this ruined my experience not sure if I will use this cab service again

I have used them many times over the years and never really had a problem, but lately things have really gone downhill. My most recent experience was so bad I can certainly say I’ll never use them again. Waiting for pickup at LaGuardia Airport was a total nightmare. The driver was so confused and I ended up having to give him directions for about 10 minutes to try to figure out where we were. I was just about ready to give up and jump in a yellow cab, and in retrospect wish I had. Once were finally in the car I did notice that he did not have his TLC license/​and the usual car service paperwork displayed but since, Fenix had sent him I didn’t think it would be a big deal I just wanted to get home! About 10 minutes into the trip all of a sudden we were pulled over by the police. As the police were approaching the car the driver asked what my name was? I’m not really sure why he needed that information but afterwards I can only assume he was going to say he was a friend of mine because it turned out the police were stopping him because he did not have the proper paperwork to be TLC driver. It was really scary because they made us put our hands up until they determined that we were just passengers picked up from the airport. They finally ended up letting him go with a warning after a lot of yelling and scolding. The driver never apologized to us and we drove on in silence.
When we finally got home, the icing on the cake is that the driver asked us for more money than we were quoted for the ride, stating that an airport pickup is more expensive! At that point we lost it and just told him that he was totally out of line especially after everything that happened, and that we use the car service all the time and have never been charged more than $ 25 for that ride. We paid him and as we were walking away from the car he got out and got in my husbands face screaming at him and calling him nasty names! I was about to call the police when he jumped back in the car and sped it away.
When we spoke to Fenix about the incident they admitted that they have changed the way they get their drivers to a service more like Über and there was nothing that they could really do. Super shady, never again!

Great drivers, great customer service, and always on time. My father needed to go to the Bronx to get to work but the streets were blocked and his car stuck in snow due to the blizzard. He called 4 ones to order a taxi and they turned him down for whatever reason. He dialed Denis and the car was there in 7 mins! I’ve used them myself many times. They are great.

Horrible car service. Ready to die in a car accident? Then use them. Horrible drivers. None of them know where they’re going and they drive unsafe. We were in NY for an event and decided to use them because they give our company a discount. One of the drivers almost crashed. The other driver kept us waiting for an hour when we were told it would be 20 minutes, he then showed up and was fighting with us about the rate and traffic. We all bit our nails all the way to our destination. We will never use them again!!!

I don’t even know how or where to start with this review… I guess a little background info on me. I’m a usual passenger of «Fenix Car Service». I take a cab to work & for errands at least 4 – 6 times a week. Have been a consistent passenger since around Feb 2015. With that being said I think I’ve developed a well rounded judgement on this car service as a whole. Don’t get me wrong my experiences has been more good than bad but my last experience is definitely making me consider looking for a different car service to use for my every day run arounds…
Today, I called for a cab at the usual time At 9:30 AM, I always request to pay with a credit card because the truth is I never carry cash on me. (bad habit on my part, i know) but whatever I always do that exactly the same. Call at that time, request to pay with a credit card. I get told no problem 5 minutes. Fine. I get my stuff together & step out my door. The 5 minutes were up but I just waiting a couple extra minutes because I figured they were just running late. 5 more minutes go by, no sign of my cab so I call the dispatcher to check on the status of car. I get put on hold for 4 minutes, then get told it should be here in 2 minutes. Fine. I’ve already waited 5 extra minutes, 2 more isn’t gonna kill me. I wait the 2 minutes, again no cab in sight. I wait an extra 3… maybe they’re really busy… NOTHING. I call the dispatcher AGAIN. I get told it’ll be another 2 minutes. At this point I’m super annoyed because it’s 9:56 AM, I waited 20 minutes for a cab & was now going to be extremely late to work. FINALLY, 2 minutes later my cab shows up.
We arrive at my destination & it’s time for me to be charged my fare. I go to hand the driver my credit card & he gives me this dumb look. Says that he doesn’t have the credit card machine. I’m FURIOUS now. I tell him so I waiting 20 MINUTES for a damn cab for you to tell me you don’t have the machine to charge me??? I told him I thought that’s why it took so long because they were looking for someone who took credit cards. He had the NERVE to tell me «you waited 20 minutes? there were so many cars parked outside the base.» Making me feel even worse because then I started to think that they probably didn’t even send the cab until the 2^nd or 3^rd time I called!
He calls the dispatcher so she can charge my card from where she was & she tells me that the machines aren’t working! Now I’m just questioning if this is actually really happening right now! So I’m on the phone with them 3 TIMES & now is when they decide to mention this to me?!! So I get told if I can go to an ATM & take out cash… the closest ATM was a bit up ahead from where the car was & he couldn’t back up because of the buses (it started to rain) so I told him just go back around & go to the from of the mall & i’ll give you the money. I go the ATM to take out $ 20, get charged a $ 3.00 fee plus an extra fee of $ 2.50 that my bank was going to charge me. I turn to look for the car & no where to be seen… I honestly was already half an hour late to work, I wanted to just say f*ck and go to work since i was already 35 minutes late at this point… but I just couldn’t do that. Called the dispatcher AGAIN. This time so she can call the driver to go to where I was so he could get paid.
To conclude this review… I waited 20 minutes for a cab, was 40 minutes late to work, got charged $ 5.50 on my card from these ATM fees & will no longer resort to Fenix for any of my transporting. Honestly lost a loyal, consistent client.

this in entire year this car service has got worse. They have left me on hold for 10 minutes or longer and would tell you that will be arriving 10 minutes only getting there 40 minutes later. As for today the dispatcher kept me hold to for 12 minutes to only tell me she has no cabs in the area.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Don’t use this company. They are dishonest. They told me a car was on the way but none ever showed up. They did this to me on two separate occasions.

Not only are they disorganized and will leave you waiting but they are also rude.
Had me wait 20 min and then wanted me to walk out of my way to meet him in the dunkin doughnuts parking lot… I guess dunkin had a line. Never calling again

Four Ones to my destination, Fenix had the return ride home. As to time frame, both were in a close proximity, time wise — that being – late…
Four dollars cheaper for a drive that couldn’t even been two miles, but I’ll be generous and say two and a half miles.
A more modern car than Four Ones picked me after the end of the evening.
Quick point: As soon as I hopped into Four Ones heading out, the driver went on and on about some great day gig he had and was doing it as a favor, something along those lines. His loud tone and regular head turns to look at me while cruising down Metro didn’t thrill me.
Quiet, courteous soft spoken driver got me home and in two shakes of the cats tail, I was home and on my pillow.

Over priced, the drivers are so rude. Bad customer Service. Not calling this Car service again

Yes, they say five minutes and they literally come in five minutes to pick you up, but speedy service isn’t enough to make me give them a rating higher than 1 star. They are the most expensive car service in the area. Total and complete rip off. A ride tonight from Ridgewood to Middle Village (not even deep into Middle Village!) cost $ 14.00. No matter who the dispatcher is, it’s ALWAYS expensive. Also in my experience I’ve always gotten drivers who don’t know where the hell they are going. That was no different tonight. What should have been a five minute ride tonight turned out to be 20 minutes. So ridiculous. Then when I told him he was going the wrong way he copped an attitude and got all pissy. Dude, you’re a cab driver! I shouldn’t have to give you directions. You should know where you’re going. Or even have a GPS. If not, then you’re in the wrong profession. When he said that he knew where he was now and I didn’t have to show him, he STILL was going to go the wrong way. Tool. I wish Lindys had more cars out and running and not have such a long wait because I would just stick to them. I really don’t want to go back to Four One’s. This area is in such desperate need for a reasonable, safe, reliable and functional car service!!!

Neighborhood car service, if you know Ridgewood you know Fenix! They’re like Cheers that way I guess. Drivers are always polite, call from downstairs so you’re not waiting, cars are impeccable, and most important you don’t have to sell your organs to be pay for a drive out of area. Also, LADIES, they wait till you get inside before they drive away. Thanks guys

Horrible service!!! If you’re trying to get somewhere on time do not call them! You will arrive late.

Fenix is my favourite neighborhood car service. ⁹⁄₁₀ times their drivers have been polite and professional. The actual cars themselves are typically newer SUV’s or well-​maintained towncars. I have never felt like my driver was trying to rip me off by including the tip in the price like some neighborhood car services do. Whatever pick-​up time they quote — They’re there. I have never had to call to check on a missing-​in-​action cab. Reliability is key.

I have been using Fenix car service for years. Recently I call for a car 20 minutes pass I call the base one of the female dispatcher’s answer chewing in my ear leaves me on hold for 5 minutes I hang up call back and it’s the same game. I have never had this issue with them. One of the drivers told me call a hour before what kind of sense does that make. This morning was my last morning being late I will use Liberty car service from this point on! Thanks a lot Fenix car service!!! Great way to appreciate a customer’s patronage!!!

This car service we use often to get us from Ridgewood, NY in Queens to Manhattan. They are always on time with friendly, safe drivers. The only reason I didn’t give it the extra star is that they don’t call to tell you when they have arrived.
This car service would be smart to focus on getting traffic from JFK as my friend was ripped off by paying $ 65 (double the price) to get to our location. Both the airport and the city should be doing more to ban services that are operating illegally.

Chuckleheads… Had a bad feeling when i called these clowns 2 days in advance of my reservation. «10 am on Saturday, family of 5 to EWR airport». They seems to struggle with the simplicity of what I asked for. Really? Aren’t you a car service? Point A to point B at a specific time.
So I called them 2 more times including 1 hr b4 our pick up time! So after waiting 15 min after our scheduled time I called to inquire were our frickin ride was and it was like they never heard from me.
Then they show up with a car that comfortably seats FOUR! This must be a joke. I started searching for cameras like I was on a reality show or something. So here I sit in NyC traffic stuffed into a town car with one of us with no seatbelt.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND USE ANYONE BUT THESE GUYS!!!

Please, I implore you, don’t waste your money.
These people have consistently let me down, but this last time took the cake. I was trying to go to my friend’s birthday party and was supposed to pick her up. It was absolutely freezing that night… I specifically asked for a mini van to so all of my friends have room, but 10 minutes after dispatch told me my van would be at my apt, I see a sedan outside. Driver tells me it’s the dispatcher’s fault, and when I call them, the dude tells me it’s the driver’s fault. Are you fucking serious?! Oh, but it gets worse!
I asked the dispatcher to have a MINI VAN waiting for us at my friend’s place because she had 2 more girls with her. They said «yes, yes, of course!»…but when I show up, there’s no mini van anywhere. We stood around for over an hour waiting for this damn thing to show up, and every time I called the company back, they got ruder and nastier. Kept saying «five minutes.»
Clearly, other people here agree. These people don’t know how to run a business.
OH, and they overcharge LIKE CRAZY!!! Please see my review for Lindy’s Transportation, because these guys will give you a *much* better price with none of the bullshit.
