Went here for a couple of classes and loved it! Customer service was excellent. and Robert was extra helpful during my driving lessons. The 5 hour class was a breeze and my road test was scheduled within 1 day after I received the certificate! I would definitely recommend it. Super convenient, i took a couple of sunday classes and they even picked me up at my house!

I have lived in the US for over 7 years now and in two cities were there isn’t really a need to drive a car to get around. Needless to say I hadn’t been behind the wheel in a long long time.
I decided I was going to get my license before Christmas time and began a two month process to make it a reality, and I couldn’t have done it without this school.
Angel and Victor are amazing instructors. I did fail the road test the first time but it was all due to nerves and anxiety for sure not a lack of instruction from the school. I immediately scheduled another test and an extra three lessons. I passed my test last Thursday and I cannot tell you how happy and grateful I am.
I completely recommend this school to anyone in NY. Thanks again!

I usually don’t like to write a bad review but review make better and if possible they can do better for another student. It’s really bad feeling. I take 10 class and there are 3 instructor, 2 is very week and like s****d, 1 is better more then two guy. I don’t like to publish his name. I think they don’t have idea how to teach. Finally I got my license through another school in Jackson height.

Such a good place to take lessons, the instructors are the calm and interesting and they let you know how to do everything. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to pass their first time. With the reasonable lessons and prices, this place is worth it. Don’t take my word for it, come try it for your self.

I was originally enrolled in academy driving school wherein I managed to fail successfully on my first attempt at the road test.
Heartbroken, I called EZpass and scheduled an express road test plus a 45min lesson before the test. All this within a week of failing my first road test. I had my doubts, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Fortunately, my instructor Vic was excellent! Looks can be deceiving cuz he looks like a child in a hoodie but his knowledge is at par with the dmv.
He was patient and knowledgable enough to answer all my questions and taught me the CORRECT way to parallel park within that single lesson!
Very simple, step by step method that was never taught at my previous school. I followed his technique, practiced with him and passed my test with flying colors!
Special thanks to the receptionist, who is super sweet and a BIG THANK YOU again to Vic, who managed to teach me well enough an hour before my road test.
PS. It’s very important to have the right instructor. Someone who can train u the right method and answer all your doubts and fears. So choose your school wisely.

On Sept 2 I received my drivers license thanks to this school and my wonderful driving instructor Angel. One time and nailed it. I felt comfortable and confident during the test. During the lessons he determined my level of experience, my comfort and taught accordingly. The prices are very affordable. Lessons are offered morning through night 7 days per week. I would recommend.
The owner is also a great instructor.
Thanks to them my husband and I could enjoy our brand new addition to the family.

Just passed my road test yesterday and I really give the props to this school! I was scheduled for the 5-​hour class the same day and it was run smoothly. That was my only personal encounter with the office personnel and everyone was professional and courteous (they also had great phone manners, as that was my only interaction with them after that class). I had my first driving lesson couple of days after that and as I was super nervous about driving in New York, I bought the 10 class package. I took pretty much all of the classes with Victor and I think he is great! He is very calm, easy-​going and gave good instructions (and he does not belittle you as I had heard of horror stories of some driving instructors in different schools). He helped me to develop my skills to the point that I passed the road test at the first try (he also made me comfortable driving in Brooklyn). I also appreciated a lot that he was willing to go routes that I knew will be important to me later on, when I have the license (otherwise we were practicing the skills needed to pass the test). I took my last lesson right before the road test, which was scheduled with Angel, and I think he was great, too. It was actually really helpful to learn the «tricks» with one instructor and then have the final feedback by another one.
My only issue was that my road test was scheduled about 6 weeks after I took the 5 hour class, whereas I had hoped to get an appointment a lot earlier than that. But that is not their fault really. I ended up not taking lessons for few weeks after the 5hour class and scheduled all of the remaining 7 classes all within 10 days from the road test, which was great as if I had taken all my driving right before, I know I would have gotten rusty and had bad anxiety when taking the test.
Lastly, I have to mention that I think that this school is very affordable, and with the quality they give, it is amazing value!

I couldn’t recommend this driving school more. I signed up for a 3 class package that included the 5 hour video and the scheduling of the road test. Their packages are so affordable compared to their competitors and their services do not disappoint. I took lessons with Victor and Angel. Both had different teaching styles but both were great! Eddy the manager took me to the road test and right before the test he gave me some last minute pointers that definitely helped me. They also allow you to pay in installments and don’t harass you about paying them as soon as possible, I actually signed up in February and made my last payment today. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the quality of their services and the patience and effort the instructors put in with their customers. I passed the road test on my first try and Eddy was right there waiting for me at the end to give me a handshake and congratulate me. Their professionalism and dedication were beyond my expectations for the price I paid. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend EZ Pass Driving School to everyone I know.

Five stars for Angel! I can’t say anything about the other instructors because I took all my 10 lessons with Angel. My first lesson was randomly scheduled with Angel and after that day I knew that he was exactly what I was looking for in an instructor. He was patient and definitely made me feel comfortable and safe behind the wheel as I didn’t have any driving experience when I started. Within 6 weeks my driving skills improved drastically. I recommend everyone to take as many lessons as possible with Angel. I passed my road test on my first try all thanks to Angel!

EZ Pass definitely deserves 5 stars! I’m not sure about anyone else, but I’ve had only positive experiences with EZ Pass.
First, Eddie was super accommodating and helped me out of a situation that I put myself in with another driving school. He was patient and made sure that he did everything in his power to make sure that everything worked for me. Overall, he’s a great person who just wants the best for students. He drove me to my road test and made sure to give me a pep talk to ease my nerves and make me feel comfortable. It was well appreciated!
Second, the instructors are great! The majority of my lessons were with Angel who was super helpful and did his very best to make sure that I learned the ins and outs of driving safely. He tested my limits by taking me to different parts of Ridgewood/​Bushwick and it certainly paid off. I definitely recommend taking lessons with Angel, but don’t be discouraged from taking lessons with other instructors. I took three lessons in a week with Angel, Freddie, and Victor and it really gave me different perspectives on my driving. They all highlighted my strengths and weaknesses, which allowed me to successfully pass my road test in Seaview!
Lastly, Nicole is the sweetest. She works in the office and provides the best customer service. I was one of those students that called often and she always greeted me with the same chipper-​happy attitude that made me feel welcomed.

I am unsure how the other instructors are but the 5 stars definitely go to Angel. I had three classes with him and he took me to the road test. I passed thanks to his last minute road test tips and his tricks to parallel parking. He is very nice, patient and wonderful at trying to distract you with videos so the nerves do not kick while waiting for the road test.
If you are hesitant to sign up don’t be, he is great instructor with lots of knowledge of what is expected on the road test.

I’m giving this driving school a 3 star rating. The following is my reason.
I paid for their $ 190 package via their website. After the transaction was complete, I called to let them know that I’d paid via the site (they use PayPal to process transactions) and scheduled my 5 hour class and driving lessons. I thought it was a bit strange that the money wasn’t immediately pulled from my account but decided to brush it off. It wasn’t debited from my account for another week. (So if you’re normally tight on cash this may not work for you. You’re better off just paying cash in the office.) So that was my Strike 1…
My first driving lesson was GREAT. The instructor (I honestly just forgot his name! So Sorry, But he was very charismatic) was patient, courteous and not quick to hit the break. I really appreciated his patience with me. He is both friendly and quite the conversationalist but I appreciated it. It made me very comfortable behind the wheel of this extremely unfamiliar vehicle. (He gets 5 stars).
The date of my 5 hour class arrives and I’m called to the front. The Assistant asked how and when I paid because I wasn’t «in the system and they needed proof that I paid»… (Even though I called the very same day I paid through their site). After searching their book I had to log into my email from my phone and send her the email payment confirmation I received from PayPal. Not a big deal for some but I felt they should have a better handle on their transactions. Especially since they’re providing the option to pay via their site as well.
It’s because of this that I’m only awarding them 3 stars. Although everyone seems friendly enough, (the instructor for the 5 hour class was both friendly and engaging), I felt the office lacked a certain amount of professionalism when handling these matters.
Also, each time I call, someone answers their phone with a simple «Hello»… so I usually have to ask if I’ve dialed the correct number. I expected a professional greeting and get thrown off each time they answer that way.
Overall they’re not bad and I Do recommend them. They’re easy to get to and close to everything. If you can get past the first 3 videos from 1991 then I’d say you’re doing pretty well. Lol

Technically these stars go to angel not the driving school. As a driving instructor angel did a great job and of course I passed my road test. As for Eddie the owner of the driving school … He’s a disaster. During my personal experience in speaking with Eddie I learned he has no respect for anyone and doesn’t know how to speak to people. He runs a very well known driving school and should know how to treat clients by now. He rushes people he doesn’t explain things clearly and he made my road test at a location I didn’t want.
Eddie didn’t ask what day and time either. when I changed it in my own and asked for a refund he gave me hard time. Isn’t the customer always right ?
If I had been satisfied there wouldn’t of been a need for a refund. But according to him I went behind his back and I wasn’t allowed to do that. Allowed? I think I’m allowed to change what I feel is wrong and get what I was initially paying for. In the end he gave me my refund but still complained and kept going and going about how he does things… News flash buddy no one cares, your job is to get people there license and nothing more. And thanks Nicole for apologizing on hIs behalf I’m glad someone in the office has some sense.

Let me start off by saying the only reason I am
Giving this school 5 stars is because of Angel. He was my instructor, he was as amazing as some of the other reviews on here state. He is super patient and knows how to teach and does everything for some one who has never driven before should need. He never made me feel any ill feelings and that in itself was an awesome feeling, his detail and attention to your needs as a student was just amazing. If you are going to take driving lessons from this school try to book with him as much as you can!!!
Pros: you can start out with one package and then upgrade to one with more lessons if you need to with out having to pay out the ass for a different package. And you get the use of there car too which is a plus! Oh and Angel!
Cons: I’ll first day these cons for me are big things because I am in the customer service business too.
The girls that run the front desk/​reception area should not be allowed to do so. I went up when I signed up at which time I was told to take my 5 hour class asap cause then I could be scheduled for my road test. I signed up for the first Saturday class, I get to the school that Saturday morning as scheduled to only be told with an attitude by Eddie the owner that I was not on the schedule and to have a seat and wait for the girl who scheduled me to come in 10 or so mins later. I complained about this being the only time I could do it after being prodded to take another day, once the young lady came in Eddie proceeded to take her into the office and I could hear him angrily say things to her, he exited and told me to take a seat and do the class. I was given angel for my first lesson and afterwards I decided I only wanted to learn from him. Then one afternoon I called up about 2 weeks before my road test to schedule some lessons and asked for angel and was assured I could get him to take me on my next lesson. The day comes and I get a call from a different instructor. At this point I was frustrated and walked over to the school and went up stairs and was met by Nicole and Eddie. Nicole proceeded to tell me that it was a scheduling issue and that angel was off, I asked why I wasn’t notified and was met with a very nasty and hostile attitude from Eddie with a remark of «this is why we have other instructors.» Ok I get it but the idea is if you have a client that wants something that pays for a service you do what you can to accommodate that, don’t give an attitude.
Over all my expirences with the staff in the office and the owner himself was poor!!! And I believe as a person who is in sales and service if it were not for Angel that place would not have any business and the day Angel leaves they are going to loose a lot of people! Angel is the most booked instructor for a reason! He is great!!! Just be warned if you have to interact please make sure to follow up and get a name when you make an appointment!
Oh and I did pass my test!!! Thanks Angel!!!

This place makes you feel good about the money investment you put in them. They really do care about you and not just your wallet. Everyone from receptionists to instructors and the manager are all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for people wanting to learn how to drive or even if just looking to schedule a road test, this place is great! Excellent excellent staff!

This school is Amazing!!!
They took a guy who literally was mentally-​injured with a «crashing phobia» and they transformed him to a driver that is safe and feels comfortable behind the wheel. Angel & Freddy are BRILLIANT teachers. Angel is very chill and makes his students laugh with his wit and charm. He took a driver (ME :-)) that would have sweaty palms before reaching intersections to becoming a roadster who can not only drive but LOOKS forward to it. That’s truly remarkable. I can’t praise him enough. He never treated me like a client but like a friend. He actually went out of his way to nail down my lessons!!! Freddy is like a Zen buddhist master of NYC driving. HAHA! His method is to calmly focus on the student’s strengths and gradually snowball those strengths until the student reaches a strong level of confidence. He was very patient even when I was frustrated.
NYC driving is no joke. There is so much road rage. These guys not only helped me pass but showed that driving can be fun with the right psychology and preparation.
These guys are something else. If I had money, I would invest in them. They are not instructors: they are Master Instructors!

Backstory:
I was a licensed driver in California (San Diego + San Francisco) for many years, but upon moving to New York, I let my license expire and unfortunately, it got *too* expired to renew in New York. The DMV informed me I needed to go through the permit & license process all over again. Annoying! However, I figured I could stand to brush up on my driving skills anyway since I hadn’t been behind the wheel in years. I called up EZ Pass based on proximity to my apartment and these reviews.
Purchasing:
I initially purchased Package 1: the 5-​hour class (required by the DMV), 3 behind-​the-​wheel lessons, and scheduling of the road test with use of their car. On my first lesson, the instructor recommended I get more lessons before my road test, which would be over 6 weeks away. I agreed and bumped up to Package 2. In retrospect, I probably didn’t need the extra 3 lessons– I already knew how to drive and had good instincts. However, the additional lessons did make me feel more comfortable for my road test, so the up-​sell was probably worth it.
Assessment:
I think EZ Pass is a great value. The 5-​hour class was relatively painless, scheduling lessons was easy, the instructor always picked me up from my apartment, both instructors I had (Angel and Freddie) were kind and helpful, and not having to deal with the DMV to schedule my road test was a huge plus. AND, I passed!
If you’re in a similar boat as I was, just an out-​of-​practice driver looking to re-​acquaint yourself with the road, I highly recommend EZ Pass. As the name implies, these instructors are very familiar with the NY DMV road test and how to pass it. They told me exactly what would happen on the test, what I could get points for, etc. Also, there are quite a few differences between the California and New York road tests. If I hadn’t taken lessons and just tried to practice on my own or with a friend, I wouldn’t have known any of those tips. The prices are reasonable, there’s really no reason not to do yourself the favor and be extra prepared for your test.

Shortly after I received my permit back in October, I contacted EZ Pass. They were the closest driving school to my home and that’s basically all I was looking for in a driving school – that and reasonable rates. I called on Wednesday afternoon and asked to schedule a diagnostic driving appointment. They were able to accommodate me that same day. I met with Eddie and he took me out for a test drive. He was able to assess my driving skills and suggested what he thought was the proper driving lesson package for me. I believe he suggested I take one of the larger packages because I wouldn’t be practicing on a personal car outside of formal lessons and didn’t have any past driving experience. I didn’t want to be oversold on a package, so I just took the 6-​lesson package knowing that I can always upgrade/​downgrade if need be.
Next, I took the five hour driving certificate class on a Wednesday. It was extremely boring (I posted a picture of the TV set we had to look at during the class). Stephanie, the school’s secretary asked me if I’d like her to schedule my road test right then since I was now eligible to take it. I knew that I didn’t want to take it in the winter, so I told her that I would call and let her know when I was ready.
I took a break on the driving thing when the weather got nastier out, and didn’t resume with lessons until about March or so. I was a tad bit rusty so I upgraded to the 10-​lesson package. From then on, I chose to take all of my remaining lessons with Eddie because I liked and benefited from his stern, strict teaching style. If you are a more lax/​laid back kind of a learner I’d suggest Robert or Francisco. They are also bringing in a new instructor to lessen the load.
I called Stephanie towards the end of April and asked her to schedule my road test. Within a day, she got back to me with my date… JUNE 11, 2013 @ 11AM AKA DOOMSDAY! She also automatically scheduled my last lesson for the morning of my road test so that it could act as a day-​of refresher lesson.
Also, here is where I want to applaud Stephanie. She NEVER called and hounded me for payment. After my initial down payment of $ 100, I paid over the phone whenever I had the money to do so. I was never prompted to make a payment. She was great! Always pleasant and accommodating! The kind of administrative person that MAKES a great business!
I continued to practice with Eddie and then DOOMSDAY arrived… I was confident, but not overly confident as I knew that i was still making simple mistakes such as signaling and looking while turning.
But, I PASSED! On my FIRST try! Eddie and the other instructor he is currently training were there in the parking lot to high-​five and hug me as I flashed my paper receipt license (valid for 90 days until the real one comes in the mail).
The other young lady who accompanied me, because she also had her driving test failed after accumulating 80 points, but she told me that she only taken 4 lessons with the other two instructors and never practiced on her own time.
Again, if you are like her and myself and don’t own your own car or have access to one to practice with, take the lesson package that allows you enough practice to where you are comfortable behind the wheel. It will be well worth the money when you pass on the first try!!!
