Definitely something different for the area. Not what I would normally expect from a food court in a mall. In Mississippi at that. Food took a little longer than expected to come, but then again it was well worth the wait. I got the 4 cheese lasagna for myself, and the Caribbean jerk wings for my girlfriend. Needless to say we spent the entire time sharing each other’s food. And only for $ 10! What a steal! Definitely ready for their new location

I had a deal/coupon so I ran by here right before Christmas. I ordered the cajun chicken pasta and caribbean jerk wings. The bad: it took over 30 minutes to get the food. They literally cook it all to order — even the pasta. If I had known this and ordered ahead, it would not have been an issue. The chicken pasta came with a sliced, well seasoned breast over a flavorful cream sauced pasta with a slice of grilled bread. It was very good, and was exceptional for food court food — my son who’s a foodie said it was what he’d expect from one of our better restaurants. The wings were the best — the sauce was great, the rice was good, and the kale was fantastic. I’ve bemoaned many times that I can’t find any way to like kale, well this place has it figured out — sweet and soft but not mushy. Def the best I’ve had. The people are working hard(5 in the back and 1 in the front) but the wait is long. My advice(not that they asked) would be too focus more on the dishes like lasagna and chili that were on the menu — things that can be prepared and kept for a bit without losing quality so that they can join great food with a reasonable wait time. Or… move to another location. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal if you were somewhere but a fast food venue to wait. I wish them the best and will be back when I’m in the area — but will order ahead. It would have been 5 star if not for the wait. BTW all meals were $ 10 — very reasonable for the quality of the food. Also, they have switched to more traditional take out boxes.

Located in the food court at Northpark Mall, sixO1 brings you fine dining at affordable pricing. All of the food is made fresh which takes a minute but it’s well worth it! There are maybe 6 menu items to chose from but they are all crafted very well! The food is great, the service is great, it’s definitely worth a visit!

I never eat at food courts because they lack quality, but I’ve heard of this place from a friend so I decided to check it out. I’ve eaten here twice in two days, it says a lot when I’m a very snobby foodie. Their Caribbean wings, rice and greens were delicious. I’ve dined at hundreds of restaurants here, and I have to say, not many places that makes me crave their food… and I’ve been craving for those wings since I had them 2 days ago. People are complaining about the rice being dry, I think it works well with what I order. The chicken usually has a lot of sauce, so it compliments eachother well. Imagine eating sticky wet Korean style rice with super saucy wings, texture would be mush! Anyway What a nice gem in the Northpark Mall. $ 10 plates for freshly cooked to order meals. This is definitely not fast food/food court style food. It’s all made to order, so if you’re in a hurry, then go to the greasy Chinese food next to it. They make a crap load of food at one time and leave it sitting out soaking in that grease for hours. People want good, fast, convenient and cheap, you can’t have it all! Expect to wait a little, the chefs cookin! The to go box do need some work. Can’t eat saucey food in it, goes right thru the wax paper and on the box. Box is too steep makes it hard to eat, feels like I’m digging for treasure. It’s also hard for the box to keep the food warm. The box is so steep and big that it makes it looks like there’s hardly food in there. I forgot my glasses the first night, so I couldn’t see the menu on the tv screen on the wall. Would be nice to have a picture menu, laminate it to save cost on printing a bunch of menus. Leave one at to register :)

This place has a lot of room for improvement. It’s located in the Mall Food Court but don’t expect the classic food court experience. They are bit more modern with their choices, with Caribbean chicken, shrimp tacos, thai shrimp and grits and Cajun chicken fettuccine. Expect to wait 20+ for your food unless you call ahead to order. They tell you at the register your wait time and then call your name when your food is ready. I got the Cajun fettuccine and was underwhelmed by it(also have to factor in my food took 35 mins to arrive and I was slightly irritated by the fact). It was on the drier side and the chicken was too. But it wasn’t terrible, what you would expect from the food court and for only 10 dollars. The food is served in cute brown containers, which are innovative but not the most practical to eat out of. Would I come back? Maybe. But I would like a few changes before I do.

Great concept, but a lot of room to improve. Four stars is within easy reach of this restaurant with a few improvements. Six01To-Go is an awesome concept. It is well prepared, classic dishes, all under $ 10, located in a mall food court. It is sandwiched in between a TERRIBLE pizza place and what looks like some equally awful greasy Chinese place. This is a shining star of the Northpark food court, possibly even of the entire mall. The flavors were great, and the preparation is very good. There were a couple issues with how they did things and the dishes themselves that are keeping them from being 4 stars. Serving: Plan on taking 20+ minutes to get your food. Not ideal for a food court, but if you plan ahead, not a problem. All of the dishes are $ 10, which is a fair price for good food. I was happy to have paid that amount. Ordering was a bit weird, as they have two TVs displaying the menu — seems fine, right? but there are 7 menu items, and they only displayed three or four at a time. You had to wait for the screen to change to see all of the dishes. That is fine, but makes it harder to compare the dishes in an efficient manner. I feel I stared at the menu far too long to decide what to order because of this. Here is the issue, all dishes come in a cardboard to go box. This is not convenient for all, if not most, of the dishes. The étouffée, in particular, was very weird served in a cardboard box with steep sides. It felt like it was going to leak through the wax paper on the bottom too easily, and digging«ten feet down» with a fork to get a soupy étouffée was not practical at all. The food was very good, however, just inconvenient to eat. The Caribbean wings were excellent and flavorful, but maybe a bit messy for a food court. The rice on the side was a bit dry and bland, but worked well when mixed with the chicken and greens. There are some improvements they could make to the food, and definite improvements to the serving process that would make this a quality four star establishment. Like I said, I love the concept, but they have some room to improve.

This was my first time trying this spot, and I wasn’t too impressed. I ordered the crawfish etoufee, but I only had two crawfish in the whole dish. The taste was mediocre. It was more spicy with little other flavors. Also, your food comes in an awkward cardboard box. It’s really deep which makes picking up your food a little difficult. The only thing stopping my etoufee from leaking out of the box was a small piece of wax paper. If I got this to go and tried to ride with it in my car, it’s definitely going everywhere. From the time I ordered my food to the time I received it, it was over 20 minutes, so don’t stop by if you’re in a rush.
