Quality Inn North

Free WiFi good, cable and free breakfast but would not stay again or recommend. …I didn’t pay for the extra roommates!!! Ugh!!!

I LIKE THE QUALITY INN NORTH A LOT. As a touring musician I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels and motels across America. The Quality Inn, Ridgeland, MS, is one place I come back to again and again when I am in the Jackson area. At only half the price of surrounding hotels, it’s a great value. Spacious rooms, fast Wi-​Fi, good complimentary breakfast, clean and comfortable, and right in the middle of a major shopping area. For families and ladies, especially, it is also quite safe, with frequent police patrols keeping watch. For working people, traveling retirees, young families, and yes, musicians on a tight budget, I recommend it.

Quality Inn?. .. an «Inn», yes. .. «quality», not so much a lot.
It’s pretty scary when you step out of the shower in the morning and feel dirtier then when you initially stepped in.
I got to the hotel, checked in and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. .. that was the best part of my experience at this hotel. I go to my room and had to change and get ready for my business visit. I take a quick detour to the bathroom and while doing my business, I see out of the corner of my eye a very large bug crawling around the floor at my feet. Needless to say, where there are large bugs there are usually more. So I head down to the checkin desk and they were quite nice about switching my room (and fairly upset that I had to deal with a bug issue).
I ultimately get to my newly assigned room, but both rooms seemed to have very dated bedding (although the sheets appeared clean), but the blanket /​comforter was very dated.
In the morning, I head to take a shower, I turn on the water and step into the tub only to find multiple long strands of hair dangling from two of the walls in the shower. I try to ignore them. I then step out of the shower and go to grab a bath towel to dry off. .. wait a minute — what bath towel?! There is none! There were two wash cloths and two hand towels, but thats it. I got creative and used those to the best of my ability.
Upon checking out, the manager appeared to be upset that the rooms I was assigned had such issues and she did make notes. before I left she suggested I have breakfast in the adjacent room, but when I looked in and saw the room was full of smoke from the cooking of breakfast, I decided to pass.
