This place is in desperate need of repair. From the outside I was like ‘Uggghhh shit. What did I get myself into.’
The man at the check in was super friendly, fast and professional. It took me a bit to find the room. The number set up was a bit confusing, outside-​inside to get to the room.
PROS:
Front Desk Friendly, Clean looking.
Cold A/​C
Bathroom appeared clean. (Not including towels)
CONS:
The linen on the bed looks nice but it is what inside that counts. The mattress horrendous. A very musty, moldy smell in the room.
Pillows were bad.
Wallpaper is peeling and stained.
Towels were not clean in the bathroom. Both face cloths had stains and snot on them.
Out of three bath towels two were smelly and stained. One was stained with blood or some sort of red stuff.
Shower head was rusty.
Light bulbs not working.
Old phone and old digital radio. I actually had the same radio in 1995.
The lock to the door was rusty and hard to turn. Had to hold the door in a specific spot to secure.
Price was altogether $ 91 on a Sunday night.
I would expect these types of issues at a $ 39 Motel.
I am terribly disappointed. The worst place I have stayed in many years.

After a long drive today, this was a welcome, comfortable stop for us. Room is clean, comfortable, includes small table. Staff friendly and accommodating. Nice surprise right next door is a unique restaurant called «Jaspers Porch» large. On a lake… food looked very good. nice place to unwind with a beer or coke. When I called ahead, price was $ 79…I explained the hotel magazine I picked up listed cost as $ 59…he explained that was walk – in price… so we waited and walked in with our coupon.

The price of the hotel was about what I was willing to pay and the hotel was nice looking outside and in the check-​in area. However, my first floor room and air conditioner both smelled moldy. The bathroom doorway edges near the floor were rotting and appeared rusty? The bedspread had a huge hole in it and the carpet had a huge snag in it which could easily be fixed by cutting the big loop with scissors. The TV would not work and I had to call twice to the office for help. Although the clerk was very nice, I had to wait for him to come to the room to fix the TV with a remote from the office.
Breakfast was a nightmare. The area had so many people that i couldn’t possibly have a place to sit, less plan on a fresh waffle. The line waiting for that was ridiculous!
The indoor swimming pool was supposed to be heated, but it was barely warm. It appeared rundown and the towels they supplied wouldn’t even wrap around my body; they were like hand towels! People were sitting in the pool area and on the steps smoking and putting out their cigarettes in the water on the tile going to the entrance. The smoke was so bad I left early.
I must say that I was hopeful before I arrived and very disappointed later. True, it could have been worse, but that is why I did not stay at any cheaper offerings nearby. Come-​on Quality Inn, take pride in your hotel!

One night stay here. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was run of the mill, but appreciated before hitting the road. They offer laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor pools. Walking nature trail beside hotel. Room was outside accessible, something to note if traveling alone. Accepts pets. WiFi worked well.
Negatives…the room did not offer enough plugs to charge all of our devices. The fitness room equipment was a bit run down, no sanitizer wipes for equipment and no water accessible.
Not 5 star, but good enough for an overnight while on the road.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place is disgusting, unsanitary, and unsafe. The room is damp and musty. There’s stains all over the carpet chunks and scuff on all of the walls. Mildew in the shower. Dirt and some other substances inside corners of the door ways. The property is poorly lit and horrible uneven sidewalks. If I could be anymore truthful is that for this place I wouldn’t let my dog stay here. Best part is NO REFUNDS!!! Do yourself a favor and drive 5 miles to the Hilton like we just did.

Very pleased with the cleanliness, friendliness of this hotel. It is not fancy but there is really nothing to complain about.

The guy who booked my room promised me that I could check in at 11… I asked him several times to confirm and he said yes. When I arrived I was informed that check in was at 3. However, the staff rushed to accommodate me. They were were friendly and the place was very clean.

Front desk was friendly and prompt. Asked about local eateries and was quick to recommend mom and pop style restaurants. Also needed a car wash and politely offered directions. Room was clean and easy access. Would recommend Jasper Lake front Restaurant next door.

Dirty toilet. We only stayed here because we had no choice. The traffic on I95 was bumper to bumper and we were tired. The toilet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned. Yuck!

Clean clean clean!!! This is the nicest place I have seen in the choice hotel system. They have indoor and outdoor pools and they are pet friendly. The room was so large with fridge and microwave and jacuzzi tub. The best part was the breakfast the hostess Vernell made scrambled eggs that were moist and delicious with bacon and biscuits and gravy as well as fresh blueberry & regular waffles, pastries, yogurt, cereals a real first class meal and she herself was lovely.
If your in this area don’t stay anywhere else.

This hotel is older but is not lacking in any way. I needed an accessible room and the one available was right next to the pool and fitness room with children playing in the pool. As soon as we closed the door to our room all of the noise from the pool was gone. Amazingly we’ll sound-​proofed. Next the room was small but well appointed with microwave, fridge and small wet bar. The bath area for handicapped had one of the best layouts I’ve seen.
The people at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable. We asked about dining and were pointed to a restaurant in walking distance named Jasper’s Porch. This seafood and rib place is one of those rare few in a lifetime finds. The food was five star and the ambiance was right out of a movie. A totally unique find.
Speaking of food, the free hot breakfast offered at the hotel was far superior to most that are offered in larger and newer hotels. And all this for under a $ 100. This hotel is definitely now a stopping point whenever we travel south.

Stopped in over night on our way from Miami to Washington, DC. We typically like to stay in hotels vs motels but because we had our boat and many things to unload out of the truck we needed a room we could pull right up to.
Staff was very friendly. There was a cute restaurant next door, Jasper’s Porch, that you could walk to for dinner but it closes early on Sunday.
Room was clean and smelled like fresh cotton. The price was right for a quick overnight stay. Good selection at the continental breakfast the next morning.

Loved it here! Found this place on the I95 on my way from Fla. It was beautiful, clean, and well kempt. The most comfortable beds I’ve slept on! A lot of clean towels. Indoor and outdoor pool, though it was too chilly to use it. Washer and dryer, ice machine, all very accommodating. Their breakfast was amazing you get yogurt, fruit, bagels, oatmeal, juices, eggs, sausages, cereal, and a lot more. Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is positioned just off the off ramp on I-​95. Really noisy all night.
Accomodations were clean and comfortable.
Keep in mind that if you are traveling on Sunday that this is South Carolina which is dry on Sunday. The restaurants don’t find it profitable to be open. This hotel doesn’t have a restaurant and there are very few in the area. Plan on KFC. That’s about it.

IN THIS PRICE RANGE and this small town, it’s now a decent place to stay. Since my original review, the breakfast menu was upgraded to a full breakfast in a separate dining area (no longer in the lobby). For example, breakfast now includes scrambled eggs & bacon, biscuits & toast, sausage & gravy, yogurt, fruit (bananas, oranges and apples), juice, coffee & waffles u Make. There is a TV in the breakfast room too. The old breakfast area in the lobby has 2 newer PCs and a printer for guest to use. The WiFi is free. I had no connection problems and WiFi is speedy even in the room.
The staff was already friendly and still is. My room, # 106, was finished & clean. Nothing plush but adequate, for the price. No peeling paint, walls or anything falling apart; an improvement. There was physical evidence that the owner is not pocketing all the profit but reinvesting some of it to improve this property. This was overdue and appreciated by visitors, many like me, with family in the area who need a nearby hotel.
There is nothing much to do in Ridgeland unless you know someone in this community. This hotel is easy on/​off I-​95. For a 1 night sleepover, the price is right.

Got it for cheap, ac blows cold, overall room wasn’t bad at all, breakfast was awesome, I would defiantly stay here again.
