Gateway Tire & Service Center

I purchased tires from them a year ago and was pleasantly surprised that they were covered with a warranty. I had a flat recently and took it in for them to inspect. They said nothing was wrong, but they’d replace it for free (great!). I brought me vehicle back the next day for them to install my new tire and the visit took a somewhat unreasonable 2 hours. The next day the new tire went flat. I returned and after another two hours of waiting they said nothing was wrong, but they had resealed it just in case. The next day (you got it) the tire goes flat again. I pull over to air it up and reach in my glove box to get out my $ 40 emergency fund that I always keep (and saw the day before as I dropped off my car) and its (surprise) missing. I call and they said to bring it by (for the 4^th time) and seemed apathetic as to the missing $ 40. After their 4^th inspection they managed to find the OBVIOUSLY cracked rim. How a tire place misses that 3x I’ll never know. I wait 20 minutes for them to quote me on a new rim to find my sales person just left without telling me. Obviously, I’ll have the wheel repaired elsewhere.

A recent experience with this service center really made me stop and think about how some of these places really think of women as idiots. I had a flat tire. they came right out to change it (good). I mentioned that I needed tires soon and they didn’t charge me for my tire repair and gave me a quote for tires (excellent).
Next day had new tires put on my car ($ 5XX,) and requested an alignment check. I was told that they couldn’t align my tires because I had a bad wheel hub, that it was dangerous, and was told that they could fix it then for almost $ 400. more. My car was still in warranty so I decided to take it to the dealer.
I took it to the dealer… they showed me that there was nothing wrong.
I feel like this service center actually thought I was stupid and thought I would cough up the cash right then without thinking because nobody wants to be driving around in a dangerous vehicle. (BAD business)
