History

Established in 1997.

David & Edna Morse started Carshop Inc as a Honda & Acura specialty shop in a small warehouse on Ridgewood Rd in Ridgeland MS. At that time, David had over 18 years automotive experience including technician, service advisor, and parts & service director at Northpark Acura and Paul Moak Honda. Starting out as a one man operation, we grew slowly, but steadily at that location, hiring our first employee, an awesome technician who is still with us today (John). Before long, we were taking in more space, and adding more technicians and a service advisor. After the property we were leasing was bought by Lowes, we moved to our current location at 114 Centre St (next to Ridgeland Auto World). Since then, we have added Toyota and Lexus to our specialty areas of expertise. Today, we continue to build trust by partnering with you in all of your automobile needs by providing honest, reliable advice, service & repair for you Honda, Acura, Toyota & Lexus

Business Owner

Born & raised in Jackson MS, I was always fascinated by, and wanted to learn how things worked. In fact, I’m still that way today. This naturally progressed into automobiles in my early teens. The first two cars my dad bought me required engine replacement and other repairs before they could be driven. It was an enjoyable learning experience, especially driving something I had brought back to life. Grew up in North Jackson, attended Callaway HS, then to Hinds CC votech auto mechanics. Started at Paul Moak used car lot in 1979, then to Honda as a technician, then service advisor. Won the Regional, then National Honda Troubleshooting Contest in 1985. Worked at Northpark Acura 1989 – 1997 as a technician, then Parts & Service Director until resigning to start Carshop. Honda Master Technician, Acura Master Technician, ASE Certified Master Technician, ASE Advanced Level Engine Performance Specialist.

Married for 33 years with 2 children. I am a bleiver in, and follower of Jesus Christ.
