What? How does this place only 3.5 stars. Seriously great service, excellent wine, and HAVETHEBRIE!!! The wine was so wonderful, I did the tasting and had 5 of their wines. I fell in love with 3, and was just over the moon! We just came back from an overseas trip, and this wine was just as amazing!

It has decent wines… But the volunteer who greeted us at the entrance to the wine tasting room was barely friendly and did not set a very celebratory mood. I was at the winery for Valentine’s Day and almost instantly regretted my choice. It was $ 10 for three tastings and a small chocolate dessert. The dessert was delicious, but, the wine tastings were so small I barely got a single sip out of it. For $ 10 I would of expected more, I will definitely not be returning to this winery. The only redeeming factor was the delicious Muscat.

We enjoyed the roof top seating, my husband had the Malbec I had the zinfandel chocolate chip ice cream. It wasn’t the best customer service ever, but it was ok. At most wine tastings we’ve done the customer service has been much more personal. We’d still go back again just to try more items. $ 10 for the tasting of wines which can be waived with the purchase of 3 bottles. Most of the glasses were 8 to 9 dollars.

Truly a delightful find… Gary is a brilliant man, and has used his intellect and passion to make a great wine. And his wine ice cream(yes, you read that correctly :-) is unmatched. Thank you… we will be back!

Overpriced for what it is. Had the cab, was told the grapes aren’t grown locally. Asked to taste before purchasing a $ 36 dollar bottle and the man reluctantly served us. Sat outside on the cheap picnic tables for a fancy view of the Dollar Tree Warehouse. There are better wineries close by, with exceptional service and true local wine.

Wonderful winery in Ridgefield… Its in a old fire house and its pretty cool. The wines are DELICIOUS… there is not one there that we do not like… Amazing and wonderful. The ice cream(made also by the owner/wine maker/chef) amazing… ask to try a sample of all 3… its a hit!

Holy cow! Some of the best wines I have ever tasted,(I especially love the sparkling!) and I finally had the chance to try some of the food. WOW! Gary is quite the host and has such a beautiful tasting room. He gave us a tour of the barrel room and my daughter and I sat out in the sun and watched the alpaca’s feast on the grass in the field out back. A very relaxing atmosphere, great food and excellent wine. You have an entire family of loyal customers with us! –Martha Bertucci

Wow! This is the first place where I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the red wines. My husband and I first bought a groupon and went to this downtown Vancouver location. I typically just do a tasting and go on my way, noting what I like. But we just had to have something to bring home, and bought the mine mine mine, a very decadent dessert wine and couldn’t decide between chocolate or regular, so we bought both! This is THEBEST wine we have ever tasted. Every wine we have tasted since does not compare with Gouger Winery. We love their wines so much, that we have since become Wine Club Members. Now they are offering food, and zinfandel ice cream and chocolate, AMAZING. We tried the baked brie with apples, almonds, and roasted garlic, so delicious, and definitely recommend it. I can’t wait until this summer when we can enjoy the roof top seating with views of St. Helens.

Nice place. Arrived late afternoon with my wife, using Groupon(tasting, pizza, bottle of table red to go home and souvenir glasses). Very personable and informative owner. Fabulous red and dessert wines. Zinfandel, cab, and Malbec were standouts for me(bought a bottle of the Zin). They also make ice cream, which is also very good(purchased a pint of the Zinfandel Chocolate Chip). Great experience!

What an unbelievably missed opportunity for the business owner! My wife bought a groupon to for this winery a while back. The day we were going to redeem it, they were closed because of a move. My wife calls & the owner tells her that she can redeem it when they reopened at the new location. Well, we finally decide to redeem the expired groupon & he refuses to honor, asking us to pay an additional cost for the groupon offer! Really? I have never had an establishment not honoring a group in, expired or not, even just cashing in the value. He complained that people were just using it to buy wine!!! Really, ur complaining about people buying something from you? OMG!!! At the end of the day, he said he couldn’t help us, so we left. What customer service?

Well I’m super disappointed. More than a year ago I bought a groupon for this place. I paid $ 20 for a wine tasting for 2 plus 2 commerative glasses. Just before it expired I went to the place to find that it was closed due to relocation. I called the owner, left a voicemail asking what should I do since the groupon was expiring. I never heard back. Fast forward. They had a new groupon. Reminded me that I had an expired one. So I emailed the owner, Gary, and explained that I didn’t get to use it before and he said to come in and he would honor it. So I show up today, he says he will honor the deal but I would have to pay an additional $ 20 which is the full price of the value of the groupon. I showed him the fine print that says the value paid will never expire. He says yes but that $ 20 is only good toward that deal. Well in my experience with groupon, establishments would give you the value you paid toward anything you wanted to buy. He said he asked groupon if he could do it this way and they said yes. He was upset because people with expired groupons would come in and use the $ 20 toward a bottle of wine and leave. Additionally, I heard the server charging the wine tasters in front of us tax on a groupon. I’ve never seen that before either. I would have been fine to use the $ 20 toward a wine tasting. I didn’t care about the glasses. He wanted me to pay the extra $ 20 for glasses that I didn’t want. Bottom line, if you weren’t going to truly honor the groupon don’t have me drive all the way out here and not honor it! Frustration! And when I asked if he would honor, he should have explained his hokey«honoring» which is total crap. I really wanted to experience this place but oh well. They’ve lost a couple of customers. If it’s a great venue, I will certainly become a regular. Poor customer service. Shame on Gary! *****My Response to the owner***** Again, I left a message asking what needed to happen since the store was moving. I received no return call. When I emailed to ask if the if the Groupon would be honored it would have been nice to know how you would honor it instead of me driving quite a distance to get there. Additionally, you should include the information about the taxes on your Groupon. I have used Groupons in many states and this is the first time I’ve seen this practice. Lastly, what you have failed to realize is that if I had the opportunity to taste the wine for the $ 20 I’d already paid(again, I don’t need souvenir glasses), I would have spent way more than the additional $ 20. I like to eat and I like wine. You missed out on a potentially loyal customer. I may use Groupns because I like to get a good deal but I’m not a Groupon cheap skate. I respect small businesses and I tip well. Again, I’m disappointed that I didn’t have a chance to see what your establishment is about. I just couldn’t bring myself to give you another penny.

We love coming here. My husband and I found Gary through the Vancouver Farmer’s market, and we were so impressed with the wine. So when he moved to the firehouse, we had to come out. We don’t get to go very often, but when we do, we after never disappointed.

I was fortunate enough to attend your event on Sat. It was a blast. You have a spectacular wine selection. Your wine frosting on chocolate cake, DELICIOUS. Your ice cream is amazing too. Really love your selection and variety. I look forward to hearing from you about the wine making, as I am interested in learning the process, and eventually getting my own wines going. Kirk Strong

We discovered this winery exploring Ridgefield and what a find. Met Gary and what a host. Tried his wines and ice cream he created. All were fantastic. We joined the wine club and can’t wait for his next offerings. Highly recommend you check him out.

Very knowledgeable vintner, nice tasting room, beautiful roof top area. Way too steep tasting price($ 10) that is only waived if you buy 3 bottles of wine. Glad I tried it once but wouldn’t return for that reason.
