History

Established in 1956.

Mr. Wright and Mr. Dunn began their accounting practice in 1956 in Richmond. Current owner, Steve Acree joined Wright Dunn in 1976 as a Staff Accountant. In 1981, he and two other partners purchased the firm. The last partner, Lee Jordan, retired in 2011, leaving Steve as the sole owner. His son, Steve Acree, Jr., joined him in 2011 after leaving a corporate career. Our small but growing business specializes in helping other small businesses do the same. With a client retention rate of over 99%, Wright, Dunn & Company manages to offer a balance of old-​fashioned service and progressive innovation. Our core services include individual and business taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, and the set-​up and management of trusts and estates. Come by our office any time to say hello. We have candy!

Business Owner

Steve Acree joined Wright Dunn in 1976 as a Staff Accountant. In 1981, he and two other partners purchased the firm. The last partner, Lee Jordan, retired in 2011, leaving Steve as the sole owner. When he’s not in the office, Steve most enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, working in the yard, or completing one of many woodworking projects in his workshop.
