VCU Medical Center At Stony Point

Dr. Karjane is an amazing gynecologist, every experience has been informative and she’s super fun to talk to. I came to her for my second ever gyn checkup after a very traumatizing first one with another doctor, and she was very reassuring and nonjudgemental about my questions I needed answered. I’ve come to her ever since! Would highly recommend.

If I ever have to have chemo treatments again… I PRAY NOT” I would choose this location. I would request Dr (Mc)Swainey too. Once they place you in your «private room» for your «cocktails», I was comfortable. The TV, room enough for 2 Angels, and to play games was an added bonus. My biweekly 2x a week for 16 weeks wasn’t the nightmare I had anticipated… thankfully.

Going to the doctor or having a medical test done is not exactly how I would choose to spend an hour or two, but I can’t say enough positive things about MCV at Stony Point. If I had to be poked and tested, I’m glad I had it done there.
Every person with whom I interacted (from reception to nurses to the doctor and the lab) was fantastic. They were professional, yet friendly, and all very personable. And the doctor I saw (Dr. Reese) was incredibly knowledgeable and I felt like I was in more than capable hands.
Parking is a breeze; there’s a lot out front and a garage adjacent if the lot’s full. The building is large, but easy to manage — even for a first timer. I walked in, scanned the directory, found my doctor, and headed to her floor. The waiting area’s spacious, but I didn’t have to wait long at all so that was a plus. However, if you do have a wait, you can create an account for their free guest wifi. The staff is all very diligent about asking you to state your name and birthday upon each new interaction, so you don’t have to worry about your paperwork or test samples getting mixed up with someone else’s.
Bottom line: This is a fantastic medical center, and I feel lucky to have found them.

Nice place. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Scheduling appointments can be difficult as most of the doctors’ schedules are full months in advance and the only available times are often months away.

I am very pleased with the medical care I receive through the VCU Women’s Center.
