The UPS Store

It is a joke that this store charges $ 1.50 for a strip of tape! When I pointed out the fact that this fee is NOT LISTED on their service menu the worker got an attitude. This store does not even deserve one star. Poor customer service and ridiculous pricing.

Well in case you planning to PRINT … Think twice ! As they charge you for using the computer and then printing. We have to use the computer to print really ??? $ 3.50 for using the computer and another 35 cents for every minute. Plus printing per page.
Staples at Fitzgerald was more better with direct printing access and they don’t charge you for giving our drive to them to print. No thank you UPS !

The store was clean, but that’s about the only good thing here. A customer was in front of me trying to get her package which the store has had for over a week. She has been to the store on multiple occasions trying to get the package from them.
Well they found the package finally. Who is buying spirits I brought an item in which is being returned to the vendor because it malfunctioned. The defective sticker which was supposed to seal the box did not stick properly. So I went to the store believing customer service was still alive and well and asked for one small strip of tape I was told I had to pay $ 1.50 so they could tape the box up. I explain to them the whole box did not need to be taped up just the one end or the sticker were supposed to secure it. So Mealista say customer service is dead with the UPS store and I will never utilize their services ever again. Apparently they need the money more than the consumer.

UPS is the worst! What’s the point in paying 2 day shipping? UPS left a note that my package was going to be left at this location and available to pick up the following day. Went in this morning and said they don’t have my package. Ridiculous. They told me to call the other location down the street, and boy did I give them a mouth full. Customer service is bull! I hope Amazon Prime drops UPS on all their deliveries bc it’s an inconvenience!

Used the notary public at this store. Needed an Advanced Health Care Directive notarized for surgery coming up in a couple of days. Notary made an error and I had to come back the next day so this could be corrected. Though this really inconvenienced me while trying to get things done before my surgery, this wasn’t what I found most irritating. What I found inexcusable was that the young woman involved showed no sign of being apologetic let alone a direct verbal apology that common consideration and professional behavior would dictate. In her favor, she did attend to me immediately, corrected the error without hesitation and was professionally expeditious.

This store does not really deserve the 1 star, but it’s required.
I walked in to return rented college textbooks, as this is the closest location to home I decided to go here. I had a printed shipping label, but the box was not taped however it was ready to go. Calvin, the cashier told me it was $ 1.50!!! to tape the box. I thought he was kidding and ignored it, then he started to ring me up. I explained how is that no even in San Francisco they charge such a fee.
Then he got offensive saying that this was Richmond, and that in Richmond they charge a fee. I could have bought a roll of tape for $ 2 and tape everyones boxes that walked in for free, and they have the nerve to charge $ 1.50 for a strip of tape?! I told him that was the last time I walked into that location, I’m better off using a San Francisco location near work.

I had to give this UPS store a star to do the review… but I am really giving it A –10 if I could!!! Just left the store and had a ground package with a return label to Nike requests if label could be printed a counter was told for five dollars I can log into their computer and print it!!! Unheard of wine labels already created… employee who was not helpful at all… And actually lie to me about that… Previously visit different UPS store and label was printed with no problem and no cost… this is why I close my UPS account in the first place they don’t deliver packages on time their drivers are really slow in their UPS stores are always trying to get over… I now ship all my packages to FedEx and the United States Postal Service and don’t have this problem unfortunately some of the business I still deal with uses UPS… I would definitely not recommending anyone using this UPS store for any business they will find a way to get some type of money out of you!!!

Went by this location at about 8am this morning to drop off two UPS packages (already labeled). I hadn’t checked the hours beforehand, and was bummed to see that it didn’t open until 9. I returned to my car, only to see the owner waving to me. He unlocked the door, took my packages, and wished me a nice day. It was an unexpected, nice surprise, and TOTALLY appreciated!

Good location for dropping off packages. No hassle, and staff here are semi friendly.

I’ve only had experience with dropping packages off here. I stop by and just give them my package. No issues with customer service. They greet you and give you a receipt right away. Haven’t had to wait in line either. Very satisfied with my experience here.

I never want to use UPS again after this incident.
I called the UPS Store in the morning around 9:00am before coming into the store. I needed to get a personal record review of my fingerprints for my employer. I spoke to Calvin over the phone to make sure this location accommodated fingerprinting. He said it did. I asked him for the price, and he told me $ 40. I repeated, «Okay, so it costs $ 40?» And Calvin replied, «Yes.» Then I thanked him and ended the call.
When I was in store between 2:30 — 2:45pm, Alexandria was helping me out. She told that the cost would be $ 58 for using my debit card. I said to her that I spoke to Calvin over the phone, and he said it was only $ 40. Alexandria replied, «Nope. It’s $ 58.» Calvin was also present when I was speaking to Alexandria. I told her I called this morning and Calvin gave me a $ 40-​quote. Calvin then said, «I told you $ 47.»
Unfortunately, even if he had told me $ 47, which he did not, that is STILL over a $ 10 difference than the $ 58 I was being charged. Neither Calvin nor Alexandria apologized for Calvin’s mistake. He actually walked away while I was talking to him, and would not even look me in the eyes. I only hope this location has surveillance cameras so upper management can see how rude Calvin was being to me. I did not raise my voice, and I did not get angry. I told Calvin it was unfortunate that he gave me the incorrect price over the phone, and he didn’t seem to care at all.
What Calvin needs to learn is that when you are working in customer service, the customer is always right. Although Alexandria was pleasant when she was doing my fingerprinting, both she and Calvin could use A LOT more practice on their customer service skills.
I am getting reimbursed from my employer, so it really doesn’t matter to me how much it costs. However, I was grossly turned off by their poor customer service. I will NEVER get my fingerprinting at UPS again. Next time I will pay the $ 5 bridge toll to drive into Marin County, where you can get fingerprinted for $ 18 NOT at the UPS store, and the customer service is amazing.
GO THE EXTRA MILE TO USE A DIFFERENT UPS STORE!

Wow, talk about horrible customer service! I stopped in to drop off a pre-​paid UPS package. All I needed was a little tape to seal the box. While I was waiting in line I used the tape gun that was laying on the counter to seal my box. And when I went to hand the box the employee of the store he said I owed him $ 1.50 for the Tape i used. I go to UPS Stores all the time and all over the place, and I have never once been charged for 12 inches of tape.
I told the guy I’m sorry, and I didn’t know the tape wasn’t free. I tried to explain to the grumpy old man that every other UPS store I have ever been to has never charged me for such a small amount of tape. Hoping he could understand my thought process… He didn’t care. If fact, he kicked me out of the store and refused to take my pre-​paid package. WTF?
I guess business is so good at this store they can be EXTREMELY rude to customers and not care. Good for them! I would never recommend this store to anyone, not even enemies!!! This is one UPS store that needs to close!

I have been using UPS Store, & Fedex/​Kinko stores for all my business’s shipping needs for many many years. And this store is by far the best store I have used. Their customer service is excellent, offers great attention to details, and also variety of services. I will continuously use this specific store for years to come. Not to mention Starbucks is right across the street: P

Horrible customer service. If you need to ship something and can go out of your way to find another location, do so for your own sanity. I never Unilocal,but this experience motivated me to warn others. The workers were extremely rude to all customers. Go to another UPS Store for your own good.

It’s a rarity that I ship with UPS unless I have a paid label. I find their prices to be a bit expensive and the shipping speed to be slower than USPS. Nevertheless, I do find myself visiting The UPS Store every once in a while and their store is neatly organized and houses courteous employees.
The store offers a variety of services including packaging services, mailbox services, copying services (laminating, copying, binding, etc.), faxing, packing supplies, notary services and more. Prices are fair and can be an alternative to waiting in line at the Post Office. If you’re in need of any special shipping needs, you’ve found your UPS store.
