Specialties
Chef-owned American Bistro, nationally acclaimed for their seasonal Vermont cuisine and award-winning wine list.
Located in a charming, 18th-century brick building once owned by Thomas Chittenden.
History
Established in 2003.
During college, neither of us thought we would become chefs or restaurant owners. After completing degrees in Biology we both attended the New England Culinary Institute. It’s at NECI we met and together we realized our lives have been building towards the creation of this restaurant.
But before we opened The Kitchen Table Bistro, internships took us to the Napa Valley. We immersed ourselves in the culture of food and wine, and completely fell in love with the dining experience. It was while working at Bizou (San Francisco), Brix and La Toque (both in Napa) where we began taking «notes» on how we would do things if we ever opened our own restaurant.
At TKTB we buy from as many local farms and businesses as possible. We change our menu often to reflect the amazing season changes in VT. The atmosphere is designed to be calming and inviting, allowing diners to relax and enjoy the food and the wine.
We look forward to sharing our passion with you.
Cheers!
