Glad to hear that the Baltic Closed. After running a credit card scam(stealing credit card numbers), the employees or management should have spent time in jail rather than run a restaurant. I wonder how many cards it took to actually get the attention of law enforcement.

It’s about time this place finally closed. Stopped in here a few times prior to their closing, and truthfully can say, that the place was horrendous. Poorly executed, flavorless food and a disorganized, filthy environment — reminded me of a restaurant that should be on that show«Restaurant Rescue» — really bad. The place has potential, so I’ll be curious to see what they do with it.

Excellent place! Rare beers, live music, all wood interiors. It’s a classic pub. They serve beers in tall glasses, they throw excellent parties.

Was looking for a place for lunch and thought I’d check it out… YES! Authentic German food… the kaisespatella was awesome as was the jaegerschnitzel. I was so impressed with Baltic… I WILL be back. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu…

So after checking in to the worlds most awful hotel all I wanted was some delicious German comfort food. I discover this place on Unilocal and we drive there. Upon going inside we see a handful of people at the bar, two bartenders and 4 – 6 people sitting at tables in the adjoining room. Waited at the«Please wait to be seated» podium for 5 – 10 minutes, multiple people who walk into the back room pass us. No one ever said a word to us. Not a hello, I’ll be right with you, nothing. Literally no one even glanced our way. We left and went to El Sol down the block. Waitresses there were super friendly and food was good.

The customer service was horrible my friend and I seated ourselves after standing near an empty entrance waiting to be seated. After being seated for some time and was never greeted by any of the employees. My friend and I got up and left

I’ve visited the Baltic for dinner and a beer a handful of times over the last few months. Sometimes, the food and service were excellent. The other times the service was very slow and food was just ok. And I’m not talking about when the place was just very busy, it was not busy and just inexplicably slow. I’ve left the area but I would probably not go back to eat there just because they seem to be so inconsistent. As a restaurant/pub they would get 2 stars from me just because of inconsistency — however they do have some good live music come through and they have a patio in the back, so it is still a good place to hear some music and grab a beer.

Being from Germany I can tell you with confidence that the food here is barely authentic and taste wise boring. The service was slow, and it seemed to me that we were a bother to them. Besides one gentleman with ponytail who was doing a good job I would rate the service as weak to bad. The furniture is old and wobbly. The interior lived and unloved. I would not recommend this place to anyone. For them to call themselves a «German» restaurant is an insult to Germany.

This place is a mess. Used to have music and decent patrons. Now all the employees argue in front of everyone are rude to customers and the owner/manager seems more inclined to party at the bar than actually work or take care of his business. 5 stars to the bartenders(one woman one man) trying to keep spirits up and people happy. The extra star is because i used to pig out on the cheesy spetzel

German food without the German efficiency or humor. We walked into a nearly empty restaurant to grab a quick dinner with friends and family. I knew the quick part was doomed when it took repeated attempts to get the water order correct. And then we waited some more. The menu boasted some interesting vegetarian options, which were sold out so were forced get our second choices. I would have walked out but it is extremely difficult to change my 80 year old father’s mind when he picks a spot. While waiting in disappointed for our food to arrive we cut into the birthday cake that we brought, not to prove we were cool adults but because we were hungry. And hour later two of our three meals are delivered and the waiter walks off. We wait for our friends food to be delivered, fifteen minutes pass. We asked out waiter there the food is and he looks confused asking what he ordered. WTH. It is a 3 top and you have failed. The place is empty, how many ketchup bottles are you refilling in the back? The whole experience took 2 hours for one entrée, one potato pancake, and a salad. There were no appetizers, no dessert, or any other frills. I have French restaurants that went faster and were far better. Our potato pancakes were soggy with grease. The fish is dry. The salad, to be honest was fine. Refills for water, drinks, or soda never came. Giving this place one star is a gift.

Just wanted to let management know; I have officially had it. I gave this place several opportunities to come through on service and quality. Its a shame, because my family quite likes the food. But after tonight, I wont ever be back. The server never checked in on us, took 5 minutes to fetch a straw, no drink refills, slow to bring the food, and to clear plates, and it wasnt busy at all. My rare steak was well done. But I wasnt willing to wait another half hour for a replacement, so I ate, and its a good thing I did because the waiter didnt come back to check on us for 20 minutes. Since you dont have a kids menu I asked to order one meal and get an extra plate. I was charged for 2 meals instead, but by the time I see the bill my kids are all ready waiting in the car so Im out of luck on that too. So thats it. No more Baltic for us, and I wont be telling anyone I know to visit either.

The Baltic is a hidden Pt. Richmond gem. I love the food, atmosphere, and friendly hosts, bartenders and kitchen staff. I would definitely recommend you to try the original bratwurst, they are delicious and their sauerkraut is the best I’ve had. Now if you are not feeling adventurous than you can’t go wrong with a burger, if you like it rare, you are in for a delicious mouthwatering burger. Pros: — Mini brats. — Rare burger. –Thursday karaōke. –Outdoor heated patio. — Intimate setting to big group venue. Cons: –Happy hour ends at 6:00pm. Note: Thursday karaōke from 9:00 pm– 1:00 am, definitely looked like a popular event. Today I had the pleasure of having Angie as our hostess, she was fun, pleasant and, knowledgeable of the menu. Baltic made a great choice by bringing her onto their team! Vielen Dank Baltic Juana

This place has gone downhill. The food is good but the service is horrible. The manager looks like she just came from a night of partying and when we complained about the horrible service, she was rude and nasty. The place needs a makeover. It’s dark and dingy. Get your act together, Baltic! Hire a manager with class! Train your servers before throwing them on the floor.

Sam was awesome. I’ll be back for his Waitin services! They have a great selection of food. In addition to a great selection of brew! A little sumthin sumthin is on tap… so of course I’m in love. Also! It’s a speakeasy!!! Tons of history in this building. Order the mac n cheese as an appetizer. It’s soo much cheese! They have live music and a variety of different people in the crowd. It was a chill night.

My first impression of the Baltic was, «Why is such a cool place so empty?» There’s a large outdoor patio in the back that’s very inviting on warm days. A great place to enjoy a beer in the afternoon or have a summer breakfast with bottomless mimosas. The main bar area is a large, dark room with a couple of older, loud TVs. It does have a dank, bar smell to it. The food is good and plentiful and the staff is friendly and welcoming. At no time did I feel ignored. The menu includes German food, happy hour food and a good beer selection. Try the Baltic on a warm Sunday morning. You won’t be disappointed. Parking is easy in their lot or nearby street.

Great brunch option if you’re in the Point Richmond area! They have a specific brunch menu list and the prices are definitely reasonable :) Bae recommended this place because we were both craving some good ol’ breakfast food. The Baltic is fashioned as a traditional European, German pub, and the rustic antique décor compliments the cozy vibe well. It looked like a saloon hall and there was a piano too! We opted to eat in the backyard open patio because we wanted some fresh air. In the back patio, there are only a few tables with some long wooden ones for large parties. He ordered the Breakfast Plate(potatoes, eggs, bacon, bratwurst, fruits) and I had the Bratwurst and Egg Scramble(bratwurst and egg scrambles with cucumber salad and fruits). I think my egg scramble was slightly undercooked and runny, but overall I enjoyed the filling meal. The bacon and seasoned potatoes were definite winners! My bae liked the bratwurst the best, but I am no German food connoisseur so it tasted pretty decent to me. Overall, service was quick, efficient, and friendly, although we had to flag our female server down a couple times. It’s slightly a bit pricier than I had hoped(average ~$ 12-$ 15) but the quality beats out Denny’s. It’s not on par with SF Brunch but my standards are pretty high; however I am content with giving The Baltic a solid 4 Stars! We’ll be back!

I can happily disagree in the cover fees they insist on me paying if I’m just having a small bite to eat. Although my previous visit assured me a happy return, I don’t think this place will be the first place I’ll spend money on to forget about my problems.

Have been here a couple times recently. Nicely situated in the middle of old Point Richmond. Great atmosphere beat described as cozy. Nice beer selection in both bottle and on tap. Food is pretty darn good and authentically german. Yeah, Im German and know my German food. Last night I tried a pilsener and a lager. Both on tap. Both excellent. For dinner tried the tri tip which came with red cabbage and Spaetzle. Also tried a little Schnitzle with mushroom sauce. Both were fabulous. For dessert I had a delicious apple strudel and the Black Forest Cake. Ok, the BFC was close but not quite authentic(I admit that Im pretty picky on this dish) but was quite good. Service was excellent.

The Baltic has an great patio — coupled with its Saturday happy hour you’d be stupid not to stop by if you’re in the area on weekend afternoons. The bar area is fairly unremarkable — we dropped in Saturday around 4pm after a day of hiking, and we thought the place was deserted. The back patio, however, was full of folks, and several dogs as well(we brought ours). The happy hour menu is awesome. Four dollar pints of beer, six dollar burgers. The draft menu covers a lot of the major German varieties. I’m no expert in German beers, but I was impressed by the tap selection. The burger and fries were solid, nothing to complain about for six bucks. Service was friendly. A guy popped out of the kitchen at one point to give my dog a slice of bacon. The patrons were similarly friendly, we managed to strike up small conversations with a few folks, it seems like everyone was there to enjoy the lovely Saturday afternoon with a beer in hand.
