Came in on Texian night out. Texian Charlie Foxtrot on tap is the best of course but a diverse variety of excellent craft beers was available if tart isn’t your thing. A pint glass with 3 beers for 10 bucks was a heck of a deal. Really laid back atmosphere and an overall good time! As an extra bonus they had a food truck serving authentic Greek food. Best Greek kosher hot dog ever!

Texian Brewing Company is located in Richmond, Texas, just west of Sugarland off 59. This Texas-themed brewery is wide open and has plenty of parking in the back. On a glorious Texas summer day, we headed over there to celebrate Craft Beer Friday. The beer was cold, the environment was inviting, and the guys who head up the brewery? They made us feel as if we had been friends for years. Here at Good Eats, our favorite day of the week is Friday. That’s the day we get off early and go sample a new craft brewery. We learn a bit about what makes them tick and the background story that makes them unique. We then provide you with a synopsis, so you’ll know what to expect when you pay them a visit. A tough job, I know, but somebody’s gotta do it! Texian Brewing Company is set up such that you’re constantly reminded of where you are throughout the entire experience. As you walk into the tasting area/brewing facility, you immediately notice the six flags that have flown over Texas since the first Europeans arrived(for you out-of-towners, six flags is not just the name of a theme park… it has meaning). Being a native Texan myself, I grew up enjoying our state’s rich history and love to be reminded of it while drinking wonderful craft beer. The area is wide open and you would think that in this Texas summer heat we all love, it would be dreadfully hot. But that is not the case; the fans and cooling system do a very good job of keeping things comfortable — I never even broke a sweat! There’s a stage for comedy shows and live performances as well as a merchandise section chock-full of Texian gear! It’s the perfect place to hold a party or a special event; there’s lots of space, plenty of seating and a stage — what else could you need? Check out their website for news about the brewery and to find out about any scheduled events. Guided tours are available as well. The family-friendly environment at the Texian Brewing Company makes it a great place to come out with the kids or a group of friends for a picnic or any other group outing. It is pet-friendly as well, just make sure your furry little buddy is well-behaved and on a leash. There’s usually a food truck available, but you can bring your own goodies if you like. Keep in mind, though, that this is a brewery and not a convenience store. They sell beer… cold beer. If you want anything else, including water, soft drinks or any other type of drink, you must bring them with you. The Texian Brewery is a must-visit while taking a tour of Top Texas Craft Breweries. The folks are real friendly around these parts and not only do you get to taste Top Texas Craft Beer, you get a quick Texas history lesson at the same time!

I came for family movie night and got to sample a few beers, which were pretty good. They had a food truck there for the event, which was nice, but I had eaten before coming so I didn’t partake. Staff was super friendly. I will certainly come back.

Can’t ever tell when this place is open. We’ve showed up three separate occasions at the time/day the sign says out front, only to find out they were closed. Take down the sign if you’re not going to be open! Very mIsleading, won’t make the drive again.

Love this place, the variety of beers are excellent, I like Brutus and Last stand. Locally owned and family friendly. Definitely where I would take out of town guests to tour and taste some good ol local beers!

Pretty bad beer. English IPA was devoid of flavor or aroma. Pretty much a glass of bitterness. Saison did not resemble a saison in any form. Brown and dunkle are ok but what boring brown ale isnt ok? They charge more per 6 pack than Karbach and St Arnolds. no thanks. One of the beers tasted like chemicals.

This is a small, local brewery that is just getting started. My wife and I toured the brewery and sampled the beers. Out of the 4 beers they sell in supermarkets, I like the Battle Line Brown Ale the best. The Broken Bridge Dunkelweizen comes in a close second. I’m generally not a fan of IPAs and I didn’t like the twang aftertaste of the First Stand Saison. Karbach did a much better job on their Barn Saison that puts First Stand to shame. They had an experimental batch of something that was so pungent and sour, they had to offer people raspberry syrup to make it drinkable. This brewery has a lot of potential, although, the beers are hit or miss. We will continue to buy Battle Line and Broken Bridge at Specs. The brewery experience was typical. You pay $ 10 for a wristband and pint glass. You get 3 fills. Pets are welcome and you can bring lawn chairs. There are a few picnic tables. The owner guided the tour and was very friendly and eager to answer questions.

Great idea for the Richmond area. They had a small batch Mexican style amber that was very good. I could see buying it if it were available. The rest of the beers, well at least the had the Mexican style amber.
