Gardening is our business and our passion. At Sneed’s, our goal is to educate customers on the importance of sustainable gardening practices and organic product choices. We are committed to fostering relationships within the community from the ground up. Sneed’s recognizes our responsibility to be stewards of our environment, and we strive to share that information with our customers. We offer organic foods and solutions that work with nature to grow healthy and beautiful gardens, preserve our natural resources, and make Richmond healthy for present and future generations.

This focus on organics and sustainable gardening practices is what drives us every day. In January of 2008 we eliminated synthetic fertilizers and pesticides from our shelves. Education is a key component of our mission and focus. We offer classes on topics ranging from bee keeping and natives to growing hops and snake identification. Ultimately, our current focus is on the people and families that are in our community and encouraging responsible practices for a healthier environment.

Our mission is to offer organic solutions to our customer’s gardening needs and issues and to be your local source for products that enable you to create a more sustainable environment right in your own backyard. Meet the Manager

Jenny R.

Manager

Jenny Rash has been in the organic gardening industry for many years. After first pursuing her education in fashion editorial work, Jenny left her retail merchandising job to pursue a degree in horticulture during which time she managed the perennial department of an independent family owned garden center. After graduating from her horticulture program, Jenny held numerous jobs in the industry including one in which she was responsible for a 10 acre garden that was open to the public year round.

After moving to Richmond, Jenny took the job as manager of Sneed’s Nursery & Garden Center. Her education and past experiences have led her to offer the best in customer service and gardening knowledge to Richmond gardeners. Jenny enjoys serving the public at Sneed’s where the mission of organics and sustainable gardening practices is the driving force behind the business.
