Just had my curly blonde locks chopped by Bella and, just like her name insists, she did a beautiful job! I can not recommend her enough.

I tried this salon for the first time today and very much enjoyed my experience! Courtney did a fantastic job, and I felt like she really listened to what I wanted out of my haircut! Will go there again.

I came in a few days ago to see Bella for a cut and highlights and I’ll just cut straight to the point but she did a wonderful job. She listened to what I asked for and enhanced it using her mad skills! ;)
The salon is clean, cute, and filled with friendly staff.
I love that they carry bumble and bumble products too!
Bella is a wonderful person with a great eye. I wish I would have come here sooner as I’ve been living here six months and I finally feel like I have found my go to salon. The kicker though is I’m moving to Raleigh and now I’ll just be missing Seven Hills!
Oh — I love that you can make appointments online. The website is easy to navigate with prices and explanations for services, etc.

I have gotten a haircut here with Elizabeth 5 – 6 times. My haircut is very difficult (blonde, thin, and fade male cut), but she always does a fantastic job. Always get complements!
Also, love the studio. They have complementary coffee/​tea/​water they offer as soon as you walk through the door. Everyone is friendly (they all know my name), and a very relaxing a pleasant experience every time! More importantly, they do a great job with difficult male cuts.

Cool, low-​key studio, friendly staff, and I loved my haircut by Haley. I had to miss my second appointment due to Snowmaggedon 2016, but they were very accommodating during my reschedule.

got my hair cut by Courtney. She does a really good job. I have Asian hair, and she uses the same types of hair cutting techniques as Japanese stylists in D.C. I will definitely come back as a regular.

Just found this place for the first time and got my hair cut by Hayley. She did a fantastic job asking me what I wanted and explaining each product she used and why she used it. She knew exactly what I wanted before I did and gave me tons of tips, as I explained I was very low maintenance when it comes to hair LOL. I already made an appt for the future :)

I got pretty sick this summer and was out of work for six weeks. When I was getting ready to go back I despaired over my hair. Thanks to the illness and, alas, genetics, it was thin and fine, plus it badly needed coloring. I didn’t want to go to a cut-​rate mall place, so I decided to treat myself – and keep my money in the neighborhood – and hit up Seven Hills Studio, just a few blocks from me.
Seven Hills Studio is a small, sleek salon with artful lighting and only three chairs. I had chosen Courtney to be my stylist, and I apologized to her for not giving her a lot to work with. She assured me that was no problem. I had been self-​coloring from the time I needed to color, and she was a great help in helping me choose my color (I’m a natural brunette but had been a fake redhead for a while). She then suggested ideas for my cut, suggesting I go a lot shorter than I’ve been in a long time. Then she went to work. Coloring took a while, then she took me back for a shampoo and a scalp massage that almost put me to sleep, then the cutting began. She is by far the most precise stylist I’ve ever had, and I suspect she does yoga because she was stretching all over the place. When she was done, I couldn’t believe how good I looked. When I returned to work, I got compliments all over the place. I’ve returned once for yet another fantastic cut and color and have an upcoming appointment. A good hair stylist is worth his/​her weight in gold, and if you ask me or a lot of other Church Hillians you won’t go wrong with any of the stylists at Seven Hills Studio. If they can make a half-​bald chick like me look awesome, imagine what they can do for you.

This is an awesome hair salon! Haley and Belle are great, talented hair stylists and really take the time to understand what I want with my hair. They always get it right every time I’ve come in. The front desk lady Sonia is also really nice and always offers tea or coffee as I wait for my haircut. The décor is also really hip and clean, and I like how the place really does its best to create an exceptional customer service experience. I get texts reminding me of my appointment and even a call to check in. I wish all businesses were run like this.

I came in a couple weeks ago to get my hair cut by Haley. I could not have been happier with the haircut and the whole experience.
Haley was wonderful. She spent lots of time getting to know my hair, learning what I wanted, and giving me tips on products to try and ways to style it. She was very generous with her time and I think it really paid off.
The over-​all experience of was also great. The space is absolutely gorgeous– hip but welcoming. And all of the staff are friendly and helpful. They offer free tea and lots of great magazines while you wait. The haircut was definitely reasonably priced ($ 35 for Haley), but you still felt pampered.
I have definitely found my new salon.

Great consultation and haircut. Salon is clean and neat — great display of B&b product when you walk in. Bella consulted on my initial choices of styles and made recommended tweaks; I chose to trust and ‘go’. (I came in with an unlayered shoulder length bob.) Bella said my new cut would work without straightening my naturally wavy hair (that I usually fry with a flat iron). I loved my straight blow dry cut. Today, I stood outside in the rain most of the day and my hair ‘waved up’ beautifully. (Before, I would have looked like Roseanne Rosanna Danny — Google it.) Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this salon and my haircut from Courtney. She was able to give me a great style without me bringing in pictures (a task) and styling tips afterward. I also appreciate that the salon carries and uses Bumble and Bumble products. Another bonus is it is very easy to schedule an appointment. Love this place!

Just went to Seven Hills Studio for the first time, and I love it! Everyone was so nice and friendly. The facility is very clean and modern. I felt quite pampered! They use Bumble & Bumble products which work great and smell AMAZING! Courtney was a pleasure to work with! She really listened to what I wanted and gave her professional opinion when I asked for it! I am very satisfied with my new haircut and will definitely be returning!

I love the fact that I could just setup an appointment online and even change it later if needed, online, and they contacted me to confirm, online. That’s great for us busy folk. I also loved the design of the place, very mid century modern. My stylist was Courtney. I chose her because I wanted mid level which is what I was already doing coming from salon del sol and paying the same amount $ 50 for a haircut. She did a great job. It was early on Saturday and it was pretty quiet, which I also liked. I’m not the type to like to talk to much while the artist is working on my hair :) Will definitey be returning. Doesn’t hurt that its only a few blocks from home.

Let me preface, I moved to richmond about 8 months ago and have had the worst luck with hair. The last salon I visited last (mind you it was rated ⁴⁄₅ on Unilocal) completely butchered my hair to the point where I had to wait 5 months for it to grow out. It was one of those terrible experiences that only others who have truly had a bad haircut get my point.
Walking into seven hills you can instantly see how tasteful and clean the salon is. They have every bumble & bumble hair product and they use it exclusively on all their clients. Jay is truly warm and inviting and the atmosphere is delightful.
Elizabeth is professional and is extremely diligent with her attention for details. She consulted with me on my horrific cut and was honest that I would need another cut to fully fix the awful layers I had, yet at the same time she was receptive to my concerns. She also gave me her input on color and my color came out beautiful. I also very much enjoyed the way she cuts hair. She will start your cut with wet hair and finishes the cut after she has dried it. This really shows the expertise she has and her commitment to making you feel gorgeous when you leave her chair.
What are you waiting for??? I’m 110% sold and can’t wait to go back.

FANTASTIC salon! I went there for the first time after trying a couple different salons that were just «ok.» I picked Elizabeth due to some prior reviews and couldn’t be happier. I had fairly long hair and was just ready for something different so my very first appointment I showed her some pictures of what I had in mind (going to just under shoulder-​length range), she gave me advice on which ones would work with my hair, and went to work. I have to say I’ve NEVER left a salon loving my hair yet this was my first! I think she was worried I wouldn’t be happy because people cutting nearly 8 – 10 inches off typically are emotionally attached, and maybe with a different stylist that would have happened, but I’ve never looked back, I love my new style and continue to return for touch-​ups.
As for the rest of the salon, very chic, laid back, and not pretentious at all.

What more can I say: nice staff, adorable salon, excellent hair products, and a kickass doo! (oh and I walked away with some food and music recommendations. dope.)
I’m a convert. I moved to Richmond a couple of months ago and got a haircut and a bang trim at Red Salon. I’m not going to knock Red Salon here, but I will say that I enjoyed my experience at Seven Hills so much that I’m going to continue with them.
The salon uses Bumble and Bumble which I love, because B&B products are pretty much magical. There’s great music on in the background, and the salon has a laid-​back, cozy, but clean and sleek vibe all at the same time. I much prefer the space to other salons I’ve been to that make you feel like you’re in a hardcore hairstyling factory.
My hairstylist, Elizabeth, was chill and nice to talk to, and oh yeah, she knows her shit. She was very attentive to my needs and gave me great tips for upkeep. The front-​of-​the-​house man, Jay, was also really personable and not rude as I’ve experienced at soooo many salons in the past. He and Elizabeth, as newlyweds, make a great business team. My haircut was also fairly priced. I was scared to try another hair salon, especially one so new, but I’m really glad I did. So glad that Church Hill snagged a place this professional and cool.

I had a tremendous experience at Seven Hills. Christopher gave me a great cut with more body and made my blonde highlights look more natural. Christopher’s a lot of fun — but he also took time to review various color choices with me. And his head massage/​shampoo skills are divine!
I have another appointment scheduled for next month and the husband goes there now for hair cuts (fun fact — they’ll trim your hair in-​between haircuts to keep its shape!).

Seven Hills is a great local salon! The owners are doing a wonderful job.
Elizabeth understands how to work with fine, thin hair (a rarity in the salon business), and is kind and thorough in her explanations of tricks and techniques in styling said difficult hair.
I left with the best haircut that I’ve had in years. I was very concerned about finding a good salon, having just moved from Chicago, and was grateful to be so pleasantly surprised.
