Therapist Dajenya Kafele, LCSW, specializes in therapy for children with all sorts of problems including abuse and other trauma and loss. When working with children, this therapist works with the parents as well, helping them learn how to best help their children. Ms. Kafele also works well with adults, and specializes in helping people heal from trauma (including abuse in childhood) and loss (including traumatic losses like deaths resulting from murder or suicide). In addition to these specialties, Ms Kafele helps clients with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and various other problems for which people seek therapeutic assistance. She is both warm and down to earth and will both listen and provide feedback and guidance as needed to help you heal your wounds and solve your own problems. She uses a variety of techniques & methods in addition to talking/​listening including sandtray, art therapy, cognitive-​behavioral, role-​play, skills-​training, family therapy, etc.

History

Established in 2011.

Seedling Psychotherapy moved to Hilltop in Richmond on May 1, 2013. This is now the permanent location of Seedling Psychotherapy.
