History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Robert Steadman graduated from VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA and has had his own solo practice for decades. Through the years he has built a reputation as a highly skilled and technically advanced doctor who consistently delivers the finest dental care to his patients. He has always offered comprehensive general dentistry services for the whole family beginning with a toddler’s first «happy visit» but he is well known for his skills in solving complex dental cases. Patients appreciate the full range of services available from very basic fillings and cleanings to full mouth reconstruction procedures including root canals, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, implants and TMD therapy. Now with the addition of Dr. Grant Steadman to the practice, we have changed our name to Steadman Family Dentistry and are able to see patients in an even more timely way. In addition to the restoration of dental implants, Dr. Grant is able to surgically place implants now as well.

Dr. Robert Steadman has known since he was 12 years old that he wanted to become a dentist. His passion for the profession has only grown through the years. In his career, he was most inspired by Dr. Peter Dawson, founder of the Pankey institute and known inernationally for his research and work with occlusion, especially TMJ disorders.

Now «Dr. Bob» mentors his son, Dr. Grant, with experience and wisdom, while Dr. Grant shares knowledge of new technologies and brings invigorating enthusiasm. Both doctors possess a light, gentle touch and a keen eye for aesthetics that is much appreciated. Our dental practice has always strongly promoted oral health because the mouth is often the window into the patient’s overall health. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care available today in a dentle, caring, friendly manner in order to help patients achieve and maintain optimum oral health and a healthy, confident smile.
