Dr. Brand and the entire staff at RVC are simply put — the best! Both of my girls have special medical needs and they are thriving thanks to Dr. Brand. Academic excellence combined with compassion and love for her patients has kept us coming back for more than three years now. Butts start wiggling in my house when I say we are going to see Dr. Brand — what better recommendation is there? I recently move an hour away from Richmond but I will not change my vet. I will not take any chances with the health of my dogs and I know that at RVC they are in the best hands. Thank you Dr. Brand — I am grateful to you every day.

My daughter recently took her dog here and was never happier! She is the type to dress her dog up and such, they loved her dog at the Clinic almost as much as she does. Kirsten Brand is patient, loving and an animal lover. When my daughter got a post card from the Clinic a few weeks later stating how nice it was to meet her dog, she was ecstatic! The postcard still is on the fridge at home!

I brought my dog here after a bad diagnosis from another vet. We saw Dr Brand and not only was her demeanor with my dog wonderful, her care and advice were equally great. And it’s not only the vets, it’s the receptionist, the assistants — they are all great and friendly. My dog was very ill and I was able to keep him alive and relatively pain free for another 6 months because of this clinic. And when it was time to say good bye to my dear dog, Dr Brand came to my house and put him to sleep where he was comfortable, on our laps, on his couch. And we were able to put him to rest in a place of our choosing. Whenever the time is right for a new dog, we will be back with Dr. Brand.

Our cat was treated by other veterinarians for over 8 months for a chronic digestive problem. No one could seem to cure him. Dr. Hourigan was no less than amazing, giving a complete examination, and from the symptoms, diagnosed the problem and properly prescribed the appropriate medications and treatment. Our cat immediately improved and is now back to normal. We have had many experiences with veterinarians, having bred dogs for over 30 years. Richmond Veterinary Clinic is one of the best clinics that we have ever seen. Everyone is professional, and most importantly caring of their patients and human owners! One of the best run animal clinics that we have seen!
