Richmond Heating and Air Conditioning

I am hoping to update this review as a slightly better experience, but so far, I have had the same problems listed by others concerning the service. I also was contracted to this company through a home warranty. Called them and they said they would be there the next morning between 9−1pm. Technician was supposed to call with a specific time to arrive. By 12pm, no call, I call and leave a voicemail. No response. So I call at 1pm and find out that the order never was made, and no one is scheduled to come. They tell me that they will submit an order to their emergency line so that «hopefully» I will get a technician by the end of the day. Still waiting on a call… I will be contacting my home warranty company about this.

I recently used Richmond heating and air for a 2 – 10 home warranty claim. Our tech Hal was a true professional. Quick response and fixed our hvac issue in a hour. Great service from 2 – 10 and Richmond air. I have a family of five and I really appreciate the quick and professional service. Thank you so very much.

Terrible terrible service. Put in a claim through a Home Warranty for same day or next day service. Did not hear from anyone after 2 days, so I called Richmond Heating and Air directly and was told someone would have to call me back. Again, I did not receive any response. I called every few hours and was told the same thing over and over, but never got a return phone call. Every terrible review has the same story, so clearly this is a pattern of terrible service. Can’t believe they are even in business. Not to mention they don’t even have a website. How can you be legitimate today without a website?

All I can say is wow! I would not wish them on anyone. After waiting for them to schedule our appointment, I left several messages only to finally speak to an incredibly rude woman who said I do not have that work order and hung up on me.

Do not trust a word that this company tells you. My home warranty company referred me to this company when I placed a claim They came out on a Friday morning to inspect my air handler. After numberous calls to my home warranty company, I found out that Richmond Heating and Air did not even submit their report to the home warranty company until the following Wednesday. Once my warranty company approved the repair (within minutes of Richmond Heating’s report) Richmond heating had to order the part. They told me that the part would take 2 to 4 days to come in. I later looked up the part online and they see it at Lowe’s for $ 70. When the part came in, they said they could come out that evening to install it between 4 and 6. I I asked if it was going to be too hot for them to install it in my attic and she said it would be fine. They would make me the last call of the day so that it would be cooler. I got a call from them at 5:00 saying that it would be too hot to install it. When I told the office manager what a bad place that put me in as I had to come home early from work she held the phone away from her mouth and said «Oh my God. Can you believe this jerk.» At that point I asked for the owner’s cell phone number. She told me the owner did not have a cell phone. I asked her to leave a note for him to call me once he got back to the office. She told me he wouldn’t be back in that night. I asked to be the first appointment the next morning and she said she couldn’t do that. She then said «It’s time for me to leav for the day hung up the phone. I called back and got someone else. I asked if I could speak with the owner. She said he was up in someone’s attic and would not be able to answer his cell phone but she would leave a message for me. She also offered to leave a note for me that he would get when he get when he got back to the office later that night. She even said that he had them cancel his last appointment (mine!) because he was running late. I was lied to so many times that I don’t know what to think anymore… and the work still isn’t done!
Update on 6÷3÷2013: I got a call from the tech from Richmond Heating and Air at 8:00 AM on Saturday. He called to tell me that he was running late because he had to stop and get the part to fix my AC. It makes me wonder if they ever ordered the part to begin with.
