History

Established in 1989.

Richmond Express opened its doors for business in 1982 as Richmond Rider’s, the city’s first bicycle messenger service. We expanded our services to include cars and vans in 1990 to meet the geographical demands of Richmond’s business industry. Since then, our client list has grown from 200 to over 1800 dedicated customers. We have continued to expand our services and now cover all of Virginia and its neighboring states. We are still locally owned and operated providing jobs and tax revenue to the greater Richmond area.

Melanie Rodgers leads our sales efforts here at Richmond Express. She shouts our name from the rooftops and attempts to tell anyone who will listen about the virtues of working with a locally owned and operated company. She is passionate about the service value of Richmond Express and can be seen at many networking events in the city as well as in the surrounding counties.
