History

Established in 1995.

Daemian Gray founded RC Racing & Restoration after leaving Elis Brooks Chevrolet Dealership San Francisco as head Journeyman Painter in there on site body shop. Factory trained, Icar, ASE and BASF certified. He realized the need for Quality workmanship in his craft opening his body shop in Richmond California. Then adding more Quality services introduced his brother Richard Gray to Head the Performance Department

leaving Ford Motor Company as a factory trained Senior Master Technician of Engines, Drivetrain, Chassis, Certified ASE Master, and ASE Advanced Level Specialist, with years of experience dating back to the mid 80’s building muscle cars.

I visited the shop on three separate occasions to have somebody work done on my Chevelle, I left my number for Damien each time.
I never received a call back and It kind if left a bad taste in my mouth and probably won’t give them a dollar of mine.

Richard is the head of shop and Damian is the head of the body my ex boyfriend got into accident after that we took it to the shop Damian worked on body and rich worked on the engine the car came out looking better and fast that it used to be they pretty good at what they do Richard knows whats he’s doing I remember we took the car to another shop and the could figure out what the problem was after tht we took it to rich and he looked at start it up and right there he knew what was it anyway since then this is the only shop where I take my car to.

I went to have my 67′ cougar checked after I purchased it in eBay. Richard Gray is the head mechanic & co-​owner who was supposed to check my hideaway headlights & all my interior lights. After keeping my car three weeks my lights still did not get fixed. His shop is disorganized, has poor communication and too expensive for sub-​par service. I spent over $ 2100.00 & was treated with indifference & hostility.
I would not recommend this business because I was not given the service I requested or paid for. The owner (Richard S Gray) is unprofessional, disorganized & has the customer service skills of a silver back gorilla.
At best you can expect excessive delays, over priced parts & labor.
I will never do business with this shade tree shop again. It’s not professional or organized enough to handle restoring or repairing my cars.

I have used this shop for many years. The owner is very professional, and sees to it that his customers are satisfied. Excellent at his trade. He also has a performance side to his shop that is very knowledgeable in building high performance cars. Check em out, you won’t be disappointed.
