Pep Boys

Have been working with Pep Boys for over 3 weeks with a Michelin tire warranty. My tires came in today and now Pep Boys has decided not to honor the warranty they need all the money today they can’t wait for Michelin to reimburse them. Michelin sent me to another authorized dealer.

Took my wife’s Lexus there for some minor work, mistake number one. They had the car for two says just to come back and say they didn’t know what was wrong with the car. Lesson learned they sux and always go back to the dealer.

Said I needed a new alternator for my car. Checked with two other places who confirmed that both my alternator was fine and the price I was quoted for repair was absurd. Never going here again.

I thought I was in need of a new battery and since I now work in Sandston, I figured I would give the local pep boys a visit to check it out.
Thinking you have a problem with your car is stressful enough and there is also the fear of them finding a much bigger problem when they finally check out the car, but my experience went about as opposite as I could expect.
When I arrived the service manager Greg was already helping 4 other customers and answering what seemed to be an endless amount of phone calls. He handled everything very professionally and was polite and courteous to every customer he assisted. So I waited patiently knowing there were a lot of people ahead of me.
Knowing I had waited almost 20 minutes just to get a battery check Greg did the battery check for me personally and found nothing wrong. He didn’t try to find any unnecessary repairs or sell me anything else which a lot of places can get a bad reputation for, instead he pulled my car around and said everything was fine and I was good to go. One thing less to have to stress about. Thank you pep boys for having a knowledgeable and friendly staff that I know I can trust my vehicle with.

Took my car to get a state inspection today I was so scared I’ve hear they like to rip people off but I gave them a chance anyways in about a coupe hours about 3 they did the inspection my car passed i was so happy they didn’t try & say I need unnecessary stuff done I know my car was in good shape I would recommend this placebut they need more workers it gets busy fast

My state inspection was done in no time! The staff really made my day. Friendly people and they made me feel like I mattered. Kudos to Pep Boys!

I had a service completed at this location to have my air conditioner repaired. That wasn’t even the issue. In my car within the arm rest, I had over $ 60 that I stash for tolls and little emergencies. The mechanic that repaired my car, stole my money. I am truly disappointed because you don’t think you need to remove certain items from your vehicle when you’re having it serviced. I will never return to this location again.

I sent a complaint to Pep Boys’ corporate office and within a few days, received a call from the local service manager. He was very polite and apologized profusely for my visit. He asked that I bring in the receipt from my follow up repair so that he could refund my money. I added a star because he was very professional, refunded the extra $ 150 I had to spend to fix his shop’s work, and clearly regretted the experience that I had.

Got breaks done last year and have had no problems up to this point. Employees are nice and friendly even when it’s crowded. Getting my alignment done today.
