Great spot to find restoration or vintage pieces for any home They also claim to be one of the best repair spots for all types (and ages) of light fixtures — great to know. Beautiful selection of vintage items, especially the chandeliers. Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

Great place. No longer open on Wednesdays though. Just went there today after looking up the hours online only to find it completely locked up. The hours at the front of the building say they are open on Wednesdays too. They should really change the hours everywhere to avoid confusion. Would have saved myself some time today had I know that.

This is my favorite place. They are wonderful and the staff is super! I love looking through all the cool stuff and they are very reasonable on pricing. You just have to ask them about options for $$ if you think something should be cheaper, etc. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

What a friendly little antique shop! Janet is super sweet and friendly and can tell you about all of their awesome goodies. A really great place to pop in and look around or stop to find something special. They specialize and lamps and have a lamp shop too, so if you need grandma’s vintage lamp repaired they are the folks to take it to.

easy parking and in and out. quite a bit of various things from a garage sale to salvage to antique store. lots of old house things like old doors, sinks, tubs, windows. old furniture and fireplace pieces. inside more of an antique shop. lots and lots of chandeliers, many beautiful lamps and just fun to poke around. the people there are very friendly and helpful.

This place is probably great for certain things — repairs, heavy duty do it yourselfers, especially for outdoor fixtures/​decorating. Their clocks, furniture, decorations etc are a mix of unusual finds and fun to look at, but I didn’t see much that a regular householder could use unless she/​he comes equipped with a lot of handiness and creativity. If you do, this is the definitely a place you should frequent.
They also have an extensive collection of light fixtures, some of which had a lot of wow! factor.
Their prices did seem steep to me. And to be fair, I am not someone who wants to negotiate on prices, so actual price might be a much better bargain than sticker price if you do favor haggling.
The staff seemed very nice and pleasantly busy (so they don’t hover over you, a huge bonus in my book). The inside is very clean, and the outdoor area is a lot of fun to poke around in. All in all, this is a great place to visit once and get a feel for.

Wow is an understatement. I’m a regular customer in the repair section. Not only is their quality outstanding, the prices are fair… in the repair section. Their staff gives good advice, including cheaper options. It is rare that a merchant will offer cheaper options– it shows that they value the long term customer relationship more than making just a quick profit. The repairs take a fairly long time but when you’re dealing with antique lighting, it takes time to get the correct part. However, once it’s completed, it’s perfect!
The retail section is expensive but the selection is unique. However, they are willing to negotiate on the price and the more you shop there, the more flexible they become.
The outdoor items are hit and miss but the lighting selection and repair work truly sets this place apart from it’s competition. I’ve only found one place of similar quality in the US and it’s in Chicago. I travel often and always visit antique/​salvage/​lighting stores. Paul’s is one of the best.

Took a busted front porch light to them to fix that had blown up as a result of some contractor tightening some wires too tightly. To replace the actual fixture would have been hundreds of dollars.
Here’s why I love (1): The people that work there are really nice. I dealt with a woman and the actual guy that repaired the lamp. I mean, customer service means a lot to me. I won’t go back to a place if the customer service sucks. They were super cool and recommended an electrician to install the repaired lamp (who also did an amazing job). And, they promised the lamp back on a specific date, and they weren’t late. They cleaned the lamp up — which I didn’t ask for, and it works perfectly now.
Love (2): The reapair was not that expensive. I paid about $ 60 to repair a fixture like I said, would’ve been much more to replace. I thought it was very reasonable.
Love (3): The stuff that’s for sale!!! Awesome antique light fixtures, lamps, benches, etc. It’s like a museum in there. I’m going back to buy more stuff for my house.

Paul’s Place does some amazing restoration on antique lighting fixtures. Are you a Mid Century buff? Paul’s Place has some amazing finds. Love Craftsman style fixtures? Paul has them! Bring your light in and get it shined up and rewired. They even have some over sized historic chandeliers from banks, churches and public spaces.
This place is not cheap but I have a hard time with those who put a price on items that are truly unique and have long ago left their ecological footprint. Give me something made of real chrome, steel, metal, porcelain and any other real material vs the poorly made items being sold in stores such as Walmart, Lowes etc.
Outside is a «grave yard» of old outdoor furniture, iron, cement statuary, brick, pavers, iron furniture, and the list goes on and on. If you are the type of person who loves antique fixtures and outdoor pieces this is your place! A mini Caravati’s of sorts and more specialized as well.

Ok this place is an upscale antique store, specializing in lighting. They have hundreds of chandeliers, lamps and fixtures, and they do repairs as well as salvage and renovations.
Their antique items are pricey, but probably worth it, and it’s fun to go into the store and look around.
It’s located in a bit of a ghetto area, but they have a private parking lot and the building and store inside is adorable.
However, the real reason this gets 4 stars is because of the SALVAGE business they run. Outside the shop are hundreds and hundreds of salvage and antique items– old wrought iron benches, tables and chairs, fireplaces and mantles, even old tiles. I could spend hours out there rooting around…
And here’s a little tip– they have several huge warehouses filled with salvage items like doors, porch pillars, roofing, etc. If you ask nicely, they’ll take you to them– they are about ½ mile from the shop. They look like they have torn down some of the huge mansions in Richmond, and stripped all the glass door knobs, fixtures, and architectural detail… and you can now buy it, for prices well below their competitors…
Glass doorknobs range from $ 6-​$ 9, for example. You won’t find them that cheap down in Manchester…
The lady who runs the store is a little brusque at first but she warmed up to us after we arrived at the warehouse… same thing with the guy working the counter at the store– a little reserved, but once you get him chatting, he is a font of knowledge.
Overall, this is a great local find– if you like to DIY or are restoring a house, this is the place to go.
