History
Established in 1890.
It’s amazing that after 120 years the roaring of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad is still heard loud and clear as it passes the Old Trading Post in Historic Booth, Tx. The Old Trading Post, one of the oldest gathering places in south Texas, has now been re-restored to the newest destination in the greater Houston area for family fun, live entertainment, and just hanging out with friends.
The facility is located southwest of Houston in Historic Booth, Tx. Just 10 miles from Sugarland, Booth was established in 1890 by Freeman Booth as a place for folks to gather, work, trade and enjoy. Fast forward to today, and that’s exactly what The Old Trading Post is all about. Grand Opening will be on July 14th.
«The inspiration to restore this historical site came from my mom. She would talk about people gathering at Trading Post, enjoying great food and friendship under the big Texas sky,» said current Old Trading Post Owners.
